Excelsior
Class
|
 |
Originally
dubbed the "Great Experiment," the
Excelsior project was to be the first transwarp
powered starship. Unfortunately, transwarp
proved to be a failure and the ships were
built with normal warp drives. A slightly
modified Excelsior-Class has upgraded impulse,
ramscoop and sensor technology. The Excelsior
Class is the most successful Federation starship
class, serving from 2287 to the present. |
