Andorian
|
An
Andorian's azure blue countenance, topped by a shock of albino
white hair and blue, knobbed antennae.
Aggressive by nature,
the Andorians' warrior prowess is often underestimated due
to their slender bodies and soft, lisping voices.
Home World:
Andorian home planet is Epsilon Indi VIII(Andor), a star
in the constellation of Indus the Indian (as seen from Earth).

Bajoran
|
The
Bajorans are a deeply spiritual and cultural race.
Jewelry
plays a large symbolic role for the Bajorans, most of whom
wear an ornamental earring in their right ear.
Many Bajoran
customs have had to be forgotten about in order to mix in
with other cultures after being forced from their home-world.
Some Bajoran customs include the pronunciation of their
family name followed by his or her given name. Many Bajorans
have abandoned this custom to make life easier.

Benzite
|
A recent member of the Federation, Benzar is similar to most
class M worlds except it has significant quantities of methane,
thus Benzite's off their homeworld require a small device
worn over their face to supply additional gasses. Most Benzites
look similar and Benzites from the same geostructure appear
identical to all but other Benzites. Benzite's are known for
innovative computer designs and programming techniques
Benzites show a sincere but sometimes annoying eagerness to
please that can be perceived as superiority. Like the Klingons,

Betazoid
|
A
Federation race basically humanoid except for the solid-colored
dark pupils and mental power of telepathy within the race.
They also have varying empathic links to other races. Their
empathic/telepathic contact leads to a natural trait of complete
honesty, somewhat troubling to outworlders when practiced
fully.
The telepathy is
not inborn but almost always comes on with adolescence.
There are also cases of over-empathic abilities, and those
who suffer from such extremes must be counseled and trained
to avoid insanity, but are almost always affected throughout
their life. Betazoids are actually uncomfortable around
those, like the Ferengi and Breen, whose minds they cannot
read.
Their mind contains
the paracortex, their telepathic lobe, which is highly capable
of recovery from injury, and includes the "metaconsciousness,"
or a trauma filter; psilosynine is the neurotransmitter
involved. In addition, their REM sleep frequency is different
than for most humanoids.

Bolian
|
The
Bolians are recognizable by their blue or bluish-grey skin,
and by the raised ridge which runs up the middle of their
faces. The males of this species are bald, but the females
grow hair similar to Humans on their heads. In addition, they
also have longer ears than humans
The tend to be friendly
and affable and science minded, tending towards the 'soft'
sciences: Psychology, Sociology. Some of the Federations
greatest administrators were Bolian.
Home World:
Bolarus IX. in the Alpha Quadrant.

Borg
|
Generally
humanoid in appearance, the Borg implant themselves with cybernetic
devices, or "implants" granting them superior technological
and combat capabilities. Different Borg are equipped with
different hardware to perform specific work tasks. The Borg
exhibit a high degree of intelligence, granting them vast
adaptability in their tactics.
The Borg operate by
conquering entire worlds, through a process known as "assimilation".
It is important to note that the Borg do not select only
those worlds which will augment their "perfection", they
simply destroy the civilizations they encounter. Individual
members of assimilated races are implanted with sophisticated
cybernetic implants, permitting each individual to perform
a specific task as required by the Collective. Thousands
of species have been conquered in this fashion.
Home World:
Home World Unknown. The Borg are believed to originate from
the Delta Quadrant of the Galaxy

Breen
|
A
powerful and mysterious Alpha Quadrant species, the Breen
are one of the very few major species who have evolved on
a non-class M world. The Breen homeworld has an average temperature
of approximately 220 Kelvin, a record low for any inhabited
planet.
They have evolved
with a unique physiology in order to cope with this ultra-cold
environment; although they breathe a fairly standard oxygen-nitrogen
atmosphere at close to normal pressure, the Breen have no
blood or other liquid circulatory system. Instead, their
body is permeated by millions of tiny hollow tubules which
are open to the skin. These allow oxygen to be carried directly
into the body; once there it is absorbed directly through
the skin to be used by the internal organs. A similar process
carries the waste gasses back out again.

Cardassian
|
The
Cardassians are a humanoid race with prominent bony ridges.
A Starfleet Captain, Edward Jellico, described them as:
"Like timber wolves,
predators. They're bold in large numbers, and cautious by
themselves. They have a distinctive need to establish a
dominant position in any social gathering"
Home World:
Cardassia Prime, or just Cardassia.

Deltan
|
Members
of the Federation of over a century. Deltan's have characteristically
little body hair, especially a bald head. Deltans have an
inherent talent for mathematics and geometry.
The Deltan race has
a very highly developed sexuality and some form of sexual
expression is inherent in most aspects of Deltan culture.
Deltans are the one known humanoid race in which
pheromones
play a major role. Deltan pheromones cause powerful sexual
stimulation in almost all humanoid species. Deltans have
limited telepathic abilities

Dopterian
|
Semi-Humanoid
race from somewhere in Ferengi space. They appear as short
humanoids with skin tones ranging from dull yellow to dark
brown. They have a cranial ridge extending from the lower
rear base of the skull and extending up through the upper
rear part of the skull.
Dopterians are distant
relatives of the Ferengi, theory holds that Ferengi proto-humanoids
were transplanted to the Dopterian homeworld. Dopterians
have no telepathic abilities and cannot be scanned because
of their four lobed brains, a similarity to their Ferengi
cousins.

El Aurian
|
El
Aurians are a very rare and mysterious race about whom very
little is known. Comparable to Terrans. Their homeworld was
probably somewhere on the boarders of the Beta and Delta quadrant.
Their homeworld was destroyed by the Borg. The few surviving
displaced El Aurians have found their way into the Federation
and the ranks of Starfleet, although seldom ever in positions
of importance. They seem to prefer to operate quietly in support
positions.
They appear to be
natural lore-keepers, and use their phenomenal lifespan
and memories to collect the stories and life experiences
of various sentient beings. They are a highly personably
and empathic race, and as such are very willing to help
other sentients work out their problems, especially if the
end result is a good story for the "good listener" ! Although
they can fight when necessary, El Aurians are by and large
docile people.
Home World:
None: Destroyed

Elasian
|
A fierce humanoid warrior culture at war for years with the
neighboring planet of Troyius until both cultures achieved
the technology necessary to wipe both themselves and their
opponents out.
The Federation has
sent of the negotiators in order to set end to the conflict,
that had been able to combine a wedding between the daughter
of the ruling family of Elas, Elaan, with the governor of
Troyius.
The culture is ruled
by a strict nobility structure and worship a a code
of a warrior poet.
