R'uann is a hardy, though petite Woman that packs a deceptive punch. Trained on the battlefields of Bajor during the Cardassian occupation, her body is in the peak of physical health. She bares a number of scars, as is typical of many resistance fighters of the time. Her mind though, is her real vulnerability.

R'uann is an orphan. She does not know her parents but was told that they had both died just after she had been born. She has a Brother, whom she rarely sees.

Pre-Starfleet History

Prior to enrolling at the academy, R'uann fought in the resistance and spent a short time with the Maquis. Her life has never been easy, a fact that prepared her well for the pressures of academy life.

R'uann suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Physically, she suffered the usual broken bones associated with the rigours of the battlefield. But is otherwise in optimal condition.

A brilliant medic, R'uann has a goal to understand the physical bodies of every species known to Starfleet. She is fluent in Cardassian, Klingon, Ferengi, and Vulcan.
