John has been called "cute". He doesn't believe himself to be and keeps his hair combed back and thats as much work as he puts into it. He keeps himself well shaved from facial hair. He always seems to have a smile on his face. He carries himself well and keeps his uniform neatly pressed. He smells of colonge which is not too overpowering and has slender fingers. He bears two scars on his body from surgeries he has had, one on his chest from where a medical port was placed, the other is a scar where they had to perform ead surgery. It is something he is embarrassed by and refers to it as "his lobotomy scar"/

Family and Background :

John was born to a Sarfleet Enlisted man who was very well liked, a security officer who worked in San Francisco in the day and was home at night. His mother was a steward working in Facility Services. His parents are very much alive and still serving in their posts. John has a brother who is a Lawyer for the Tellerite Mining Company, specializing in Interstellar Affairs and he has a sister who is an aspiring novelist. John also had a kid brother who passed away from a genetic disease at the age of seven. When John was in his teenage years he contracted the same cancer and nearly died from it. He suffers from depression and survivors guilt over it.

Pre-Starfleet History

:

John was a geologist, he won awards for his delving into caves and finding rock formations. He owned a rock tumbler and polisher and some said he would make an excellent Terraformer someday. That day never happened, because when he got a lymphoma diagnosis it was the same terminal thing that killed his kid brother. He devoted his life to becoming a doctor. The idea was to prevent others from passing away from diseases and infection. He still regrets not becoming a planetary sciences major but still maintains the hobby.

He is a cancer survivor. He had an omya resivor port in his head and a chest port in, he seemed to be struck with it quickly and it was treated but it had a long lasting effect on John, He has depression and anxiety which he has told nobody about. He suffers from an addiction to coffee, He has been treated for several broken bones from his spelunking.

Skills

:

He has a minor in geology and a major in Genetic Medicine as well as a medical minor in General Medicine. By all reports he is smart and could be a fantastic officer if he applies himself right.

Other Information
Hobbies :

John loves to read peanuts by Charles M Schultz, He uses the holodeck to vacation in the exotic places he wants to see. He also uses it to practice his social skills such as meeting women or making new friends without the embarrassment of rejection. He also loves wine and fine dining and will do so when he takes his meals in the lounge of wherever he is posted to.

General Notes

He has a ten year old orange tabby called Harvard he adopted while in Academy, it has been his closest thing to a friend throughout his adult life.
