History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Tardek is the youngest of three children. His older brother, S`tak, is an instructor at the Vulcan Science Academy. His older sister Telas, the middle child, rejected the traditional Vulcan philosophies of stoicism and logic, and joined an underground society dedicated toemotional exploration. His parents, Sybor and S'ria, live on Vulcan. His father is a professor of astrophysics at the Vulcan Science Academy, and his mother designs space traffic control systems for Vulcan Space Central. Tardek followed both of his parents` interests, which led him to his dual studies at the Vulcan Science Academy. Tardek is married to T'len, a civilian Vulcan research scientist aboard the USS Cochrane.

Education

:

6 years at Vulcan Science Academy. 4 years at Starfleet Academy.

Pre-Starfleet History

:

When Tardek was a young child, he was attacked by a rabid Selat. The attack damaged some nerves in his left leg and he walks with a slight limp as a result. Tardek graduated near the top of his class at the Vulcan Science Academy with a dual degree in Computer Science and Astrophysics. He decided that the logical place to pursue his studies in an applied sense would be in Starfleet, so he enrolled in the Academy.

Starfleet History

:

Tardek completed his training at Starfleet Academy and was given a short-lived first assignment as the Chief Science Officer aboard the fighter carrier USS Bader. Unfortunately, the ship met its demise within hours of Tardek reporting to it. Tardek was then promoted to Ensign (sg) and reassigned to the USS Wraith, where he serves as the Chief Science Officer. During a mission to Zindaqran II, CMO Fodigo and he uncovered a Breen plot to obtain pure Pyrithium from the planet. Following that mission, he was promoted to Lieutenant (jg). During the return to Starbase 23 from Zindaqran II, the Wraith, along with all other ships from Phoenix Squadron, engaged the Borg in orbit of a strange new planetoid occupied by a technologically advanced race known as the TineSeeCha. Tardek was one of two officers who participated in the first contact with this new species, and played an important role in establishing a friendly relationship with them. Upon completion of the mission, he was promoted to Lieutenant (sg). Upon returning to the starbase, Tardek learned that the Wraith, along with several other vessels, had been reassigned to form the Freedom squadron at the outer reaches of the Alpha quadrant. As soon as the Wraith arrived at Starbase Geneva, the base of operations for the new squadron, Tardek was reassigned to the top-secret Cochrane Research Facility as First Officer, and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander upon his arrival. After the unfortunate death of the CRF's CO, Tardek assumed command of the facility and was promoted to full Commander. After successfully overseeing the refit of the T'kon station to Starfleet specifications and the full conversion of the station to the new CRF, Tardek received another promotion, this time to Captain.

Tardek was the youngest ever Three Dimensional Chess Champion of Shi`lar at age 14. General Notes

:

Tardek is your fairly typical Vulcan. Having been exposed to and even briefly recruited for emotional exploration by his sister, he does display the occasional glimmer of an emotional response, but he still adheres as best he can to the Vulcan ideal. He hopes to undergo Kohlinar once he retires from Starfleet, and then become a professor at the Vulcan Science Academy.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
