Archive Biography

Tannis is the middle child of 5, and was much quieter than his siblings, meaning he often was lost in the crowd. His Parents were busy members of the academic circles on Trill, his father being a doctor, and his mother a theoretical physicist. His older brother and sister followed their father into the medical field, and his younger siblings seemingly rebeled and have become artists and free spirits.

Searching for a way to impress his parents and earn their attention, Tannis focused all of his energy on his schooling. Excelling in Math and Science, he grew to love the fields by themselves as much as he loved them as a way to impress his parents. After Highschool, he decided to go to school for Engineering, and earned degrees in those fields, both basic and advanced. He quickly learned that his parents simply expected him to do well, and after growing frustrated he decided to do what he wanted and joined StarFleet.

Tannis is a skilled engineer, his studies having focused on the physical aspects of engineering. He is an above average warp engineering skills, however when it comes to the more nuts and bolts aspects of the job he excells.

He has taken up fencing lately to keep himself in shape. He enjoys a good holonovel and has been known to carrouse at various pubs when he is completely bored.
