Joan is tall and slender with wiry muscle characterizing her whole build. She walks deliberately with long strides. She has shoulder length hair and usually has a stern face.
History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Joan is the fifth child out of ten to Clint and Cameron Shrekt. She is particularly close to her youngest brother, a scientist, and his family. Like most of her siblings she has several children. But it was decided that the three would be raised by their father. She has not seen them in nearly ten years. She gave them the option to carry the Shrekt name if they so chose, but did not force the issue.

:

Joan was a typical Starfleet brat traveling around the galaxy with her father after her mother's death. Her eldest sister took care of them and together the kids took care of each other.

Starfleet History

:

Joan has served for 28 years in Star Fleet. During the recent civil war, Joan found herself on a ship loyal to Doenitz and while she did not agree with his policies, decided to fight the enemy from within.

Medical History

:

During her time in the service, she has suffered multiple wounds and injuries. But aside from numerous scars that cover her body, she is in excellent physical shape.

Skills

:

Joan is skilled in the various areas that are required for her duties. She is noted for having sharp deductive skills, as well as exceptional hand to hand skills. She is also trained in phaser marksmanship.

Hobbies :

There may have been a time when Joan had hobbies, but that time has long since passed. Her work consumes her now.

General Notes

:

Joan is a driven woman whose actions in the recent civil war have caused her harm in ways even she does not suspect. The losses her family has sustained will take time to heal and she wonders whether she should establish stronger contact with her children, who are nearing adulthood. For the moment, it is her duty that is keeping her together and she will pursue it to the ends of galaxy.

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
