History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Growing up with loving parents Jenilla and Kongra, Markra had a typically settled life. At home on the ancient colony of Azati Prime, Markra was the oldest of four siblings, but never had to fight for attention from his younger brothers & sisters. He often spent time looking after his siblings, but he never resented the responsibility, despite the time away that both parents took as part of their jobs.

Being a Xindi-Primate, Markra was considered to be quite intelligent, and by his early teens he had his eyes set on a future amongst the stars. At the age of 25, he left to start a new life, and while his siblings were envious, his parents were devastated.

Education

:

Markra was educated as most Xindi-Primates were, in primate schools of Azati Prime. Achieving success in his early teens, Markra set his sights on science, and as his sub-race was considered to be the most intellectual, he was welcomed into the University with open arms.

He studied for 6 years, and was awarded the Premier Azati award when he graduated, and he was pinned as the most likely to succeed in his chosen field of Electromagnetic Manipulation.

Pre-Starfleet History

:

Markras early life was spent on the capitol planet of Azati Prime, a shared homeworld between Xindi-Primates, Aboreals and Aquatics.

When he was 25, he decided to leave his home and set off in search of wonders lights years away. Ferengi space, which is closest to that of Xindi space, is where he stopped first, on the planet Rog. Here he took a job as a technician for a Ferengi shipping company. It was while working on a Ferengi freighter that he first ventured into Federation space and learned of the many wonders there-in.

After only two years in employment he left his ship at a port in the Tellar system, where he caught a transport to Earth. Only hearing about Earth in the history books he spent many months learning all he could about this ancient enemy of his people.

Realising the great opportunities that awaited him as part of the infamous Starfleet, he was accepted into the academy at the age of 28, intent on becoming the first Xindi-Primate in Starfleet.

Other Information
Hobbies :

Markra has a holographic simulation of his homeworld, since it is so much different to the M-Class planets of the Federation. He enjoys rock climbing, forest hiking, and swimming in this simulation. He also plays the Xindus Flute, an ancient musical instrument that has similarities to the Terran-Flute.

General Notes

:

He often has bouts of paranoia, mainly relating to racial difference. Because of this, Markra has trouble socialising, often feeling isolated due to his species.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
