History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Born (2374) and raised on Utopia Planitia where his parents both worked as engineers, Pete grew up with theory and practical engineering all around him. His parents are both now retired, but retain regular speaking engagements at Utopia Planitia with the Academy Satelite Program for engineering cadets. Pete is married to Collette Holland (nee Andrews) and they have 4 children, Stefan (13), Andre (11), Nadia (9) and Artemis (4). His family is stationed on Geneva where Collette works as a theoretical engineer.

Education

:

Klingon Fighting Academy, Starfleet Academy

Pre-Starfleet History

:

Pete spent 4 years on Qo'nos after high school, having made friends with the Klingon ambassador's son Kur'leck. He trained with the Klingon youth and grew to be seen as a worthy opponent despite being human, and rather puny at that. At the end of his time there, Pete was honoured by Ambassador Me'rack and given a place in the Ambassador's House. To the Klingons, he is known as Mok'taH of the House of Me'rack.

Starfleet History

:

Pete graduated from Starfleet Academy at the age of 26 and was stationed aboard the USS Thunderchild for a time before transfering to Deep Space 15. He has risen through the ranks due to his solid abilities as an engineer and his unflappable nature in a fight.

Medical History

:

Several broken bones sustained during his time with the Klingons and a scar on his upper left arm (from a pain stick), but nothing else of note.

Skills

:

Skilled engineer. Monkey-like climbing abilities. Strong despite his slight build. Is extremely calm yet intense in battle situations.

Other Information
Hobbies :

Pete is what can be termed a grease monkey, he enjoys tinkering with all sorts of things and regularly spends time in the Holodeck refurbishing vehicles from various eras. He also experiments with modern items, often bringing to life something though inoperable. He continues to train in the Klingon style, and is adept at the use of the Bat'leth. Pete also enjoys running Parcour style and is known for scaling objects thought practically unscalable. Is a judan (10th degree) ranked judo practioner, he holds instructor status and occasionally teaches judo classes at his postings.

General Notes

:

Note from CEO of USS Thunderchild: Peter Holland is an asset to any engineering team - his recommendation to ACEO of DS15 is a testament to his engineering skills, however, it is the opinion of this CEO that Peter will not thrive on a station - but needs the action and 'honourable battle' of starship operations.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
