Lieutenant Ryko Jay Skylynx

Tall and muscular, Ryko has been raised around combat zones and flying. He is friendly in appearance but his height makes him a force to be reckoned with. He takes good care of his body and he is well toned, with a short goatee and thin "chinstrap" beard. His eyes are framed by near-perfect eyebrows, the product of good genes and not manipulation.

Starfleet Academy, 4 years standard tenure plus 2 years vocational advanced piloting training. Attended Antares III Tactical Collegiate, graduated with honors, Marksman and Pilot First Class.

Trained in several forms of armed and unarmed combat, Marine-level combat engineering, advanced warp mechanics and weapons design, and the Guitar.

Unremarkable history. Ryko was born to a long-standing, though mediocre, betazoid family. His parents, a journalist and ex-marine respectively, raised him to be tolerant and wise, yet never totally-off-guard amongst unknown variables.

Prior to Starfleet Academy, Ryko was raised by his natural parents on board a private scout ship- the La Fayette - and beginning in his early teens, on Earth near Pinehurst, Idaho. His travels with his journalist mother and ex-marine father led him across the entire alpha quadrant, and he gained an extensive awareness of several species and cultures from a young age. This served him well upon acceptance to the academy, which itself was the result of an intense desire to see more of the galaxy at large. Ryko has always been an inquisitive individual at heart. Be it fiddling with inventions as a child, to messing around with quantum torpedoes as an adult, he has never repressed his love of things built by hand.

Initially graduated Starfleet Academy 2403, assigned to USS Boudicca.

Skylynx was removed from the Boudicca amid a Classified Starfleet R&D project involving an experimental starship. During this project's testing phase, the he was transported through a transdimensional barrier to an alternate reality in which Earth - and much of the Federation's core planets - were destroyed by a rampaging Reman tyrant equipped with Thaleron-based weapons technology.

Ryko was debriefed and integrated into that society, although he never stopped looking for a way home. The resolve did waver at times however, as several friends and close family members he knew to be deceased in this reality were alive and well in the alternate.

During his "Stay" in this alternate reality, Ryko rose to the rank of Commander and became first officer of the starship on which he had arrived; the USS Relentless, NX-100217.

Shortly after the end of the Civil War in this reality, Ryko was thrown through another dimensional rift back into his native timeline.

Stardate 2413.05.10- Reasssigned to USS Boudicca as ATAC.

Superlative Pilot and Marksman, and a gifted leader, Ryko is a team player and adapts well to new conditions. He has an air of dependability around him and his unsurpassed flight skill earned him the nickname "Sky".

Ryko has trained extensively in swordplay, preferring the raw speed of a zweihander german claymore but also proficient in the use of twinned blades such as scimitars. He originally invested time in such pursuits for self defense but nowadays engages in meditative training similar to Kung Fu.

Ryko also has the limited Empathic and Telepathic gifts common amongst all Betazoids, but to a slightly weaker extent due to his mixed heritage.

Ryko has an avid love of the outdoors. Even when training with a blade, he prefers a holographic simulation of Australia's Ayers Rock or his homeland of Hell's Canyon in Idaho to the spartan furnishings of a gym. Rock Climbing has helped hone him to peak physical form, and a voracious appetite for music and books has formed his mind similarly.

Skylynx still has part of his life grounded in an alternate universe. He will, most likely, require further counseling sessions. Has a slight tendancy to dwell on the past specifically concerning his dead fiancee, Yalta Schafio. Still dealing with mental turmoil.
