Eyes : Doosodaria Weight : 160
Hair : dark brown Skin :

Height : 5.7 Blood : red
Karli is a tall, well-built Doosodarian woman with an infectious smile and button nose. She is athletic, with long nimble fingers and a firm grip. She wears a thick veil over her upper face covering her eyes, decorated with simple pins to keep it firmly in place during the long work hours. No one really knows why she wears it; underneath it are two of the most beautiful, large golden eyes this side of the galaxy. Her dark brown - almost black - hair cascades from a high ponytail seemingly tangled in her veil down to her shoulders, accenting the strong jawline and fair skin.
History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Karli was born into a small family of botanists in Gokram city on the Northeastern continent of Doosodar, Rhoid. Her older brother, Bekar and sister, Rama both attended the Doosodarian Science Consortium and graduated with honors in their respective fields (Bekar in Physics and Rama in Xeno-Morphic Botany). Her parents, Mila and Jan ran the city's communal gardens and outsourcing for the city's food supply.

Education

:

Starfleet Academy

Pre-Starfleet History

:

Unlike her siblings, Karli was refused entry into the Science Consortium and was almost refused the opportunity to join Starfleet. When Karli was younger, she served as a retainer for the region's Master Poet and learned much about their poetic heritage while serving at the Enclave. However, for an unknown reason, Karli was expelled from the Enclave without warning and was sent back to the family home. After two years, she finally convinced her family that her leaving was for the best and made her way to Earth to join the Starfleet Academy.

Starfleet History

:

Medical History

:

Karli suffers from occasional headaches due to a conflict between the use of her eyes and her species' natural subspace perception. Modern Doosodarians are born without eyes, relying solely on their subspace perception. Due to Karli's genetic mutation, the visual cortex has issues determining the dominant visual stimuli.

Skills

:

Karli has a natural leaning toward Xenobotany due to her family background. While at the academy however, she found an equally stimulating interest in Astrophysics, practically throwing herself into her work at the academy. She is not terribly good in combat, but her debate skills are well known at the academy.

Other Information
Hobbies :

Karli is an avid climber and snowboarder. Her favorite holodeck programs are the Vulcan Northern mountain range and the Colorado Slopes. She also enjoys camping, singing, and meditates daily.

General Notes

:

Due to their reliance on subspace perception for visuals, Doosodarians have a tendency to be more sensitive to drastic changes in subspace. Side effects can sometimes include dizziness, vertigo, migraines and general disorientation. They are also known throughout the Federation for their ancient poetry, and their enjoyment of the 'space between spaces', blank sections in their poetry which can last up to two days.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
