Before joining starfleet he worked around the USS Jamestown with his father who was the chief engineer. He went to the San francisco school of engineering when he turned 20 he then applied to starfleet academy. He finished almost last in his class and was lucky to graduate. He was still acting out but trying to do better.

Both of his parents were starfleet officers he was born on Starbase 72 and was raised there until he turned 10 and his family was reassigned to the USS Trition. He had one sister who is 5 years younger than him. While they were stationed on the trition when it was avalible he use to work with his dad. When he turned 16 his dad died and he started acting out. He was a angry kid and upset with the world. This drove a wedge between him and his mom, as soon as he was old enough he left the of starships to study engineering it was his favorite pastime. It was the one thing that kept him going. after he was accepted in to the academy his was informed his mother had been killed on a away mission. He didnt reach out to his sister or anyone he closed him self away in work.

He works great with computers and spends his free time fixing things. He can bit abrasive when talking to people and it keeps him from having many friends.
