However, if the levels continue to rise it could have serious effects, eventually leading to toxicity and eventually death. Symptoms will include irritability, hypervigilance and hallucinations on the mental level and various unpleasant physical symptoms too. I would like to do more scans on all of us at regular intervals to check whether or not the seratonin levels continue to rise, and if so, at what rate. Andrew nodded as Marsh interrupted "My dear, do you have to ask? Of course, continue. Would you be able to ascertain the source of the serotonins? Is it something we ingested? Or an imbalance in the central nervous system? And are the SERT's short or long, do you know? I would hazard to guess long due to the relationship with anxiety-related personality traits. Fascinating! Time versus serotonin? Never been established before. We just *need* to find out the cause of it all, we simply must!" He was about to ask her what she thought the cause could be but she continued. "First we need to ascertain whether or not the levels are still rising," Zia said. "As for the source, I will need more data. And, to be honest, better equipment. Commander Williams, I would guess that the station's Sickbay is suffering from the power loss, like the rest of the station?" Andrew nodded. “Yes when the team searched the sickbay it suffering from power fluctuations. I am not shore if it has power at the moment but it was not the most safest place then.” "I will do what I can with the equipment here but..." Andrew nodded "It is not ideal. But more scans should tell us something, if only the rate at which the serotonin levels are rising or falling, or if they are remaining constant. I would also like to know if any of you are experiencing any of the symptoms I mentioned. Although I would not expect them to appear at the current levels I have detected, it is by no means certain that you have not all experienced higher levels before the scans were run." (Reply Kirrin, Marsh, any) (Posted by Robbie) (Station Echo One Zero – Deck 15, Sector 8, Surveillance hub – COUNS, Ensign Oggie Marsh - 18:46) "It is not ideal. I would also like to know if any of you are experiencing any of the symptoms I mentioned. Although I would not expect them to appear at the current levels I have detected, it is by no means certain that you have not all experienced higher levels before the scans were run." Oggie nodded with a sideways glance at the Commander. "Irritability, hypervigilance and hallucinations? That's quite a powerful mix, my dear. It would explain a few things," Oggie commented letting his eyes roam the hub to stop on several people for a second. Oggie nodded. "It would explain ....... a lot. Like the mental state of some of the people here. Mentally drained, I think the layman term would be. Too much induced patterns, not giving the brain a chance to 'catch up with reality' so to speak. Always feeling like you are one step behind everything. That does take a considerable toll on the psyche, for sure." Oggie sniffed. "Nothing that a short break wouldn't cure, mind you. Like a holiday. Or a very involving session on the holodeck." Oggie looked around and sniffed again, this time almost like a derogatory snort. "The latter is going to be a bit of a problem down here, I reckon. Hardly likely there would be power for those. Now there are other ways. Countering the little blighters with endorphins, for instance" Oggie fell silent and suddenly turned to the First Officer. "Commander, are you particularly ticklish?" (Reply Williams, Zia, any) (Posted by Adrie Geuken) (Station Echo One Zero - Deck 15, Sector 8, Surveillance hub - MXO, Major Bruce Kowalski - 18:54) The Marines had now been recalled, at Williams request to stand guard at the hub once again. Kowalski stood nearby the entrance to the East corridor, his men taking their requisite positions at the key locations befitting, 'guarding' the perimeter, whilst the newcomers busied themselves with their attempts to figure out just what was going on. Kowalski smirked, it was quite obvious to him that the place was beyond figuring out, something here was leaking into reality and distorting everything around them. Why, perhaps he was even alone right now in the room, and that everyone here... wasn't! Bruce closed his eyes and shook his head with an audible grunt, it didn't bear thinking about, his mind had been screwed with enough for one day already, the rolling dustbin with it's maniacal cackle from the past still very fresh in his memory. What the hell was that thing anyway? And why had it seemed to be so singlemindedly intent on 'Exterminating' his team? So, here they were again, guarding. Kowalski checked his III-C's display briefly, noting as he did so that the power levels had decreased somewhat. "Uh, odd", he muttered as he tapped the side of the weapon with his hand in an attempt to jolt it back into a more realistic reading. It wasn't going to happen though and after the fourth or fifth slap from his meaty hand, he resigned to the fact that it was actually showing a true reading. "Houseman, what does your III-C show power wise?", he asked, addressing the ever present 'House' to his left. (Reply Houseman) Kowalski looked to the fleeters nearby, then he ran his fingers through his hair before addressing them. "So, you've been reading falling power levels uh?", he asked, "well get this, our weapons seem to be discharging at a rate not consistent with their design. What do you suppose it causing that?", he added. (Reply Any, IYW) It was at that moment though that the station shook, as though providing some bizarre kind of answer to the MXO's query. Immediately everyone lost their footing in response to the disturbance. "What was that?", enquired the woman as she too, lost, and then regained her footing as the shaking halted. The fat one responded with an announcement of a collision alert, and although it certainly did feel like a collision of sorts, Kowalski shook his head. How could anything hit the station, and how could they all have been thrown off their feet? Surely the SIF/Inertial dampers would have kicked in.... and then he rememebered the loss of power and nodded. Already though the big counsellor and the Medic were preparing to head out to the location shown on their console, Deck 4, Sector 5... "Houseman, Hayes. Accompany the fleeters to the location shown. Bignell and Dillinger... you're with me", said Kowalski as he seemingly began accessing another nearby console which showed a schematic of the station and it's accessible conduits. (Reply Any) By now of course, the two fleeters, accompanied by Williams and the two flanking marines as escort had left the room leaving Kowalski to speak to Bignell and Dillinger in private after calling each to his side. Clearly something was troubling him... "Something's not right with those two fleeters", he said curtly, his eyes wide and alert now, "they may not be what they appear to be, I've already spoken to House on this", he added suspiciously, his mind seemingly bending now to whatever it was that was happening inside of him. The Doctor had mentioned Serotonin, Kowalski wasn't buying it... he wasn't buying any of it. "Come with me", he snapped, and the two Marines followed their CO obediently. NRPG: Dun dun dun.... RPG: (Reply Any) (Posted by Alan) (Station Echo One Zero – Deck 15, Sector 8, Surveillance hub - FO, Commander Andrew Williams - 18:55) Andrew felt the floor move from under him. He darted his arms out to grab the console to stop himself from sprawling onto the floor. "What was that?" said Kirrin as Andrew steadied himself. "Level three collision warning!" "Source of impact........ Deck 4? Section 5 and 6? Wasn't that where the Probie messages came from? Commander! We need to investigate! Now!! Zia!" Andrew nodded as Kirrin spoke up. "I am ready, Oggie. We will need to be closer for the tricorder to show any signs, whatever is happening on the station is limiting its ability to scan at distance." "There are some odd readings in that area which were not there before. Not lifesigns exactly, more a sort of... disturbance? I do not know what it is but I agree with you, Oggie, I think they should be investigated," "Then we must make haste!" he said as he started to walk out of the room. "Deck 5, section 4! Uhhhh, *no*, deck 4, section 5! Ohhhhh." "That means ...." Marsh said "Oh dear," Marsh murmured, "Oh dear." Marsh sighed then sniffed as he drew himself up. "Follow me!" "The Jefferies tube that we have to take is located this way! Speed may be of the essence here!" Andrew nodded and followed Marsh closely. (Reply Marsh, Kirrin , any) (Posted by Robbie) (Station Echo One Zero – Deck 15, Sector 8, Corridor - COUNS, Ensign Oggie Marsh - 18:58) Oggie sniffed as he tried to straighten himself. "Oh dear," he muttered softly again before turning to the others. "Zia, my dear. I suspect you may be quite eager to lead the way, so to speak, but I fear our guests are a bit better qualified for this situation." ~And in case you are not that eager this should give you a proper reason not to do it.~ "Commander, you lead the way. Up and at the end of the tube, you turn left then 100 meter later you take the next tube upwards. Once you leave that one, turn right and follow the central corridor for about two hundred meters and you will find a blue door with cargo bay in big letters across it. Enter it and then it is the third door to your left. We will follow you as fast as we can, which in Zia's case will probably be a lot faster than in my case. But we need to intercept who or whatever is there in that room!" Oggie looked uncharacteristically grim and inwardly he hoped that everybody would take that as response to the situation and not be due to the many ladders that Oggie was about to face. (Reply by Zia, Williams, any) (Posted by Adrie Geuken) (Station Echo One Zero – Deck 15, Sector 8, Corridor - ACMO, Ensign(jg) Zia Kirrin - 19:00) Zia smiled thankfully as Oggie suggested that someone else should lead the way through the Jefferies tubes. Nevertheless she listened carefully to his directions to Commander Williams in case she somehow got separated from everyone else. ~Up, left, up, right, through the blue door with 'cargo bay' on it, then the third door on the left,~ she mentally repeated to herself as Oggie finished. ~As my room-mate Xander used to say, Simples!~ "...we need to intercept who or whatever is there in that room!" Zia looked around at the others, trying to gauge their reactions. "Getting there should be a slice of bread," she ventured. "I think the trouble will come when we get to that room we are looking for. If there is any trouble, that is." Zia was beginning to feel increasingly as if she was trapped in some kind of weird alternate universe. Certainly nothing in her training either on ch'Rihan or at the Academy had prepared her for this situation. ~Where 'nothing is but what is not'...~ On that thought Zia put aside her doubts and looked at Williams. "In the words of one of our greatest Rihannsu poets: Lead on Macduff, and damned be him who first cries Hold, enough!" She allowed Williams and some of the other officers to go first then, with an encouraging smile to Oggie, followed them into the Jefferies tube. (Reply by Williams, Smithson, Houseman, any) (Posted by Liz Geuken) (Station Echo One Zero - Deck 4, Sector 5 - ACEO, Ensign Remae Ktell - 19:00) "Imagine this room...", started Liskens and Remae began to daydream. Whatever had caught his attention lasted as long as he heard... "It all makes sense now, doesn't it?", said John triumphantly and Remae's reply with a sort of rotating nod, hopefully, covered up his unattention. For a while, they talked to the little toy that they had brought along. Ktell had seen such devices but Percival seemed like a step up. However, talk returned to the subject of locating the drain as Cat interjected the idea of the power drain being so large it would be obvious. The problem was, even small devices were having problems with the drain. The ACEO opened up his own tricorder to what seemed a similar issue, the tricorder was useless in tracking down the drain. He popped it open on the stop and began to fiddle but, he asked a question of the group. "So even with the Warp Cores of the Mithrandir and the Spectre powered down, most of the station's generated power is going somewhere to power something?", he said putting back the last relay of his tricorder, "I don't think we want to be around too long.", he said clicking the handheld computer back together. it beeped into life. "One moisture sniffer.", he said as the simplified device began to beep in a certain direction. (Reply by any/all 'Rascals', any) (Posted by Anthony Keen) (Station Echo One Zero - Deck 4, Sector 5 - SciO, Ensign John Linskens - 19:03) John nearly growled as Cat bent over to pat Percival. He knew her long enough that she wasn't a silly-willy-nilly-brainy-celly person like that and John knew that she knew that John knew that too. So it was an attempt to rile John and he knew that his annoyance was due to her knowing him too well. "Don't tell me, I know. It's a machine. It doesn't feel happy, it doesn't feel sad, it just runs programs, right?" John just snorted after which she continued and sighed when she had finished not capable of resisting the urge. "Typically you," he said. "Percival did what he was supposed to do. And you ... again ... fail to see the ramifications of what he found. What use is a good working Krillenium head when the system will be devoid of power as soon as you turn it on? How is it supposed to direct the power flow when there is no power flow?" John grunted but forgot his annoyance when Ktell spoke up. John raised his eyebrow for a second, immediately annoyed that he hadn't thought of that. He sighed. "Ok, once again. There is this pipe with water that has a leak, right? Whether there is water in the pipe or not is totally irrelevant for the leak. It is there to leak water once there IS water in the pipe. So until water gets into the pipe, the leak waits. Does nothing but waiting. The water itself has been drained away, used up, whatever. The leak isn't physically sucking. It's just transporting it from one place to another place. Neither is the water moving out of the tube so it can be more useful somewhere else. It doesn't care. Neither does the power. It has no will, it just flows. Now I fully agree that the place where the power leaks into is good to know so that we can actually plug the leak to keep out water flowing in the pipe. What the power is used for is less of interest but I am pretty sure it is linked up with this big and expanding phase-field we are currently in. Remember the Mithrandir got pulled into this time-line after we gave all our power to this leak." John fell silent. "This is what really worries me. If this phase field somehow is connected to other time-lines than how can we shut it down in just one? It will just keep on sucking power from the other time-lines." John looked at Percival. "An unstoppable reaction has started up and the more power is sucks, the more tendrils it can create to other time-lines to suck even more power to create more tendrils to suck more etcetera, etcetera." John sniffed. "Whoever came up with this experiment must either be a bl**dy genius or an utter fool, probably both. Anyway, we can worry about that later. First we must make sure we are ready for our guests." John grinned. "Remember this no-power business? Guess what, inertial dampers need lots of power too. So we can be sure that if there was anybody about to feel it, the 'landing' of the shuttle will have jolted him/her/them. So all we have to do is to sit tight and wait for them to find us. Of course, they won't find us if we are too far away if phase but there is a decent chance that our crew will not be that different in phase from us. So we should see and hear them and they should be able to see and hear us. Still slightly phased, of course, so they might be a bit ... transparent so to speak. Ghostly might be a better term. In fact, there have been theories that ghosts are nothing but people that got phased but are still within the 3 milliLin. Hmm, looks like we should be able to proof or disproof that soon. I reckon if they are coming, they should be here in about 10 minutes. Might be sooner, might be later. but a decent enough average, I think." (Reply by any/all 'Rascals', any) (Posted by Adrie Geuken) (Station Echo One Zero - Deck 09, Sector 2, Primary Computer Core - MXO, Major Bruce Kowalski - 19:03) Arriving at the core, Bruce paused and looked to the left and to the right of the corridor intersection, the hairs on the back of his neck were up, his III-C at the ready, the diminishing power levels already having concerned him more than it should have perhaps. Half way down the right corridor a ceiling ventilation fan turned noisilly at may'be, a half it's normal speed due to the stations minimal power configuration, and down the left, an emergency lighting panel flickered creating eerie and alternating shadows against the adjacent wall. A bead of sweat ran down the Marines temple as it coalesced and then collapsed causing him to wipe it aside with his hand. Then he turned his attention forwards to the sign above the door. 'Computer Core. Warning, Sensitive Equipment Requiring Adequate Precautionary Shielding' Kowalski ignored the warning and then pressed the door activator, the door swishing aside with a slight rumble due to a faulty bearing or track somewhere within the bulkhead. Bruce posted one of his marines outside the door, the other accompanied him in, the one with the necessary know-how to hack the database and gain access to the stations otherwise guarded protocols. Within minutes, Dillinger had interfaced with the low level console and had gained access to the required systems, he then turned to his superior, his lip curled up slightly as though pleased with himself but not wanting to show it. "Piece of cake sir, these systems were never designed for military obfuscation... I'm in", said the Marine resting one hand upon his knee now and awaiting further orders. "Good, I want access to the primary self destruct", said Kowalski ominously, "we may have to initiate a Code One if intel supports that the station may be being used as a temporal conduit for hostile forces", he added. Dillinger raised an eyebrow and shook his head, "are you sure that's wise sir, I mean...." "Are you questioning my authority Marine?", snapped Kowalski as he cut the Marine off mid sentence. "Umm, no sir, it's just that..." "Then grant me access to the requisite subsytem if you please", said Kowalski, his voice calming just a little now as he wiped another bead of sweat from his brow. "Sir", said the Marine, returning thence to the task at hand. Kowalski then called to Bignell. "How's it going out there Troy", he asked. "A-OK Sir, nothing to report", said Bignell, "just me n the fan and the faulty lighting sir.... and may'be a rat or two" Kowalski huffed, and then returned his attention to Dillinger, who hovered a finger over a button, seemingly lost in thought now. ~Why am I doing this?~ "Well", said Kowalski impatiently. Dillinger then pressed the button accordingly, his head turning towards his XO as he did so. "The system is awaiting audible codes sir" "The station has a two tier code in place due to it's low strategic value", said Kowalski, "enter your authorization first" Dillinger exhaled deeply, and then turned back to the console, clearly unsure as to whether this was the right course of action or not. "Marine, 1st Lieutenant, Simon Dillinger. Serial number 92614894D. Destruct Sequence One - 1-1-A", said Dillinger. [Authorization is acknowledged] Kowalski then spoke his own codes. "Marine, Executive Officer, Bruce Kowalski. Serial number 619261672B. Destruct Sequence Two - 1-1A-2B - Protocol overide code is 'Venture'. Isolate all command functions relating to destruct sequence to myself only" [Authorization is acknowledged. Awaiting Command For final Execution of Self Destruct] Kowalski wiped another bead of sweat from his forehead and took a deep breath. What the hell was wrong with him? Why was it so hot? "Are you OK sir", said Dillinger, somewhat concerned now at his XO's unusual demeanor. "I'm fine", said Kowalski, "get outta my face won't you" Dillinger raised another eyebrow at the XO's sudden snappiness, then he backed off. The XO must know what he was doing, he'd never let any of them down before so there really was no reason to doubt him.... was there? Kowalski stepped forwards, his weapon raised to his shoulder now. "Prepare for auto-destruct on my mark, interface with marine band communicator only and initiate on my order. One hour silent countdown on activation" [Auto Destruct Armed - Standing By For Final Voice Authorization - Marine Executive Officer Only] Kowalski then patted Dillinger on the back with a nod. "Good man, good man", he said and then he beckoned him to follow him from the room... Things went in and didn't come out. Personnel had beamed over and nothing was heard. Now a shuttle had crashed on the station and again nothing was heard. Captains Alexander and T'vor were working on a solution. It would be so much easier if both ships were in the same timeline. They weren't. Then the prime Directive concerning tine travel was producing a dilemma. He had a pal on the Spectre a Seylan named Gronk. They had gone through officer orientation together. NRPG: I can't remember if we're banned from talking to the Spectre. If do delete post. RPG: Hank opened the channel to the Spectre. (Reply: Any) (Posted by: Bill W.) (USS Mithandir - Engineering - ACEO, Ensign Hank Stevens - 19:06) Hank Stevens was at a standstill. He couldn't figure out what was causing the shifting of the space-time continue. Turning to the replicator he ordered "Coffee strong with cream". Hank couldn't imagine having to grind beans and to brew his favorite beverage. He rubbed the bridge of his nose and closed his tired hazel eyes. His friend Gronk on the Spectre had provided some useful data. It indicated that this was artificially generated. This thought begged the question for what purpose? Another issue was the loss of communications with the Away teams. This artificial 'field' was like sink hole things entered but nothing came back. This was something Hank felt comfortable looking into. Hank quickly programmed his thoughts and generated three dimensional replica of the situation. Thinking out loud he said "Computer given the programmed data can a means be programmed to furnish a reliable communications path?" The computer was silent for a moment before replying [[ Working Ensign......]] Time crawled as Hank waited. [[ There is a 90% probability that can be accomplished ..]] the system responded. Hank sat up straight at that. He considered his next step carefully. With the CEO away he wad acting in her stead. This was far different than being an NCO and following orders. Hank rechecked his results. He then asked the computer "Is it possible to boost the signal somehow to overcome the blackout? " Again a momentary pause as the computer considered the question. [[ Not possible to reply insufficient data...]] came the reply. Hank sighed deeply taking another sip of coffee. He ran his hands thru his close cropped hair. Stevens tried another question. "Computer - if a variable phase discriminator circuit, tuned to the varying phases of the anomaly, were placed in the communications array would transmission be possible? " The lights on the computer control system flashed and the system replied [[ Yes it is probable such an arrangement would work ...]] Hank sat up. This was progress at last. He quickly copied the data onto a pad. Tapping his comm badge asked "Ensign Stevens to the FO . I need to speak with you. I've made a discovery I think will help". (Reply: FO ) (Posted by: Bill W.) (USS Spectre - Bridge - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 19:14) "Status update please", said the Captain, issueing the request to the Tactical officer beyond him without actually turning to face him. It was not that he was being particularly ignorant of course, it was just a typical Vulcan mannerism borne of ultimate perfection and the expectation of such from every other member of the bridge crew also. A starship should run like a well oiled machine, it's crew the very gears that made everything move in just the exact manner it should do. The Tactical officer had proved an exemplory 'gear' and had responded almost instantly. (Reply Tactical) "Are the emanations within safe parameters?", asked T'Vhor, in response to being told now that the levels on the station were apparently rising again. (Reply Tactical, Any) The Captain accessed his armrest console and then keyed in the relevant command to tie an alert annunciator to those levels, the safe limit now being set at six degree's above the threshold. "Is the Mithrandir still holding it's alloted position?", asked the Captain, wondering then about the somewhat headstrong Syuvik, who had recently taken temporary command of the vessel, due to Alexander having been involved in some sort of incident. The response was once again instant, the Mithrandir was still where it had been almost from the start, but the question of K'Tel and Linskens shuttle still remained. The ship had been found of course, the sensors detecting that it had hit the station amidships and run into a docking ramp. There was still no word from those on board of course, but the nature of the impact and the seemingly intact condition of the shuttle itself seemed to imply that all were OK. The Captain hoped that was the case as he contemplated the recent rising power levels on the station. "Be very sure to keep a close watch on those power indicators", he said, the Tactical officer replying with a simple 'Aye sir', before continuing on. (Reply Tactical, Any) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre - Bridge - SecO, MCPO Sam Harper - 19:15) Sam was taking one of his Bridge shifts. For once it wasn't a graveyard shift and also for once it wasn't when nothing was happening. Captain T'Vhor asked for a status update in his usual manner, which was to say that he didn't turn round to look at the Tactical station when doing so. It was something Sam appreciated, a captain who trusted you to do your job without feeling the need to turn around and look at you every five minutes. "Readings indicate an increase in power levels on the station, Sir." "Are the emanations within safe parameters?" asked the captain. "For the moment, Sir, yes. But if they continue to rise, we may need to move from this position to maintain a safe distance." "Is the Mithrandir still holding its alloted position?" "Aye, Sir. She hasn't moved a jot," Same replied. "No sign or contact from the team who were on the Gonzo yet, Sir," he added, anticipating T'Vhor's likely next question. "The shuttle seems to be intact, and the impact relatively minor though, which would suggest that no one was seriously hurt." "Be very sure to keep a close watch on those power indicators," ordered the Captain. "Aye, Sir," Sam responded simply, then returned his attention to his monitor. He wondered for a moment why the Mithrandir was not assisting them in a more practical manner, then dismissed the matter from his mind. It was not his concern. His concern was doing his job, here on the Bridge, to the best of his ability. (Reply Any, None) (Posted by Liz Geuken) (Station Echo One Zero - Deck 11, Sector 9, Lower levels - MXO, Major Bruce Kowalski - 19:16) Bruce's senses were heightened beyond that which might be considered to be normal, something was most definately up, he knew that, he suspected that Dillinger and Bignell knew also but that their respect for the chain of command was paramount right now. Either way, there was something lurking in the shadows as they approached the heavy steel door up ahead of them. Kowalski paused briefly and raised his hand, the TACORDER display on his III-C showing... nothing. The MXO shook his head as he verbalized his thoughts. "That can't be" "Sir?", said Bignell from behind. Kowalski shook his head again. "Nothing, let's move on" The floor was wet here, the metal decking actually showing rusting that couldn't be, given that there was no iron in it's actual makeup. Arriving at the door though it didn't budge to the command issued to it via the panel outside. It simply creaked and groaned, then it clanked. Bruce ran his fingertips around the frame and then jammed his right shoulder hard up against the door itself in an attempt to free it. Still it didn't move. Turning his head towards his men, he checked his chronometer and then gave a nod. "Houseman and the rest of them should be on site now", he mused. The two men nodded accordingly to the announcement, Bignell seemingly concerned about something as he studied the MXO's face. "Sir, if intel supporst a code One override of the mission objectives.... are we really gonna blow the station?", he asked. "Damned right!", exclaimed the MXO, "there are... things running around here soldier, things that might pose a threat to the security of the Federation" "Things sir?", enquired Bignell, his line of questioning seemingly irritating the MXO somewhat, if his expression were anything to go by that is. "Rolling things!", snapped Bruce, "things that want to.... exterminate the shit out of us", he added, his ears pricking up now to a sudden sound down the corridor as his III-C came to bear in it's general direction. Bignell turned to look also but could see nothing, he then checked his TACORDER also, just to be sure. "There's nothing there sir?", he said shaking his head, "nothing but us and this godamn door", he added as he agressively pressed the panel access button once again. "Well, we're going in", said Bruce, fishing about now in a side pocket and then pulling out a photon charge, which he slammed onto the door itself with a heavy metallic clank as the device stuck to it via it's magnetic bottom. Dillinger raised an eyebrow and then cast a cursory glance to Bignell, who shrugged. Kowalski then set the charge for a ten second delay and activated it, retreating with the two others to a safe distance as he did so. The bang was deafening! Smoke filled the corridor now, the sound of rushing water coming from beyond where the door had once stood now ringing resplendent in their ears. The Marines then moved on through the still smoking aperture, Kowalski opening up a channel to Houseman on the Marine frequency. "Houseman, respond", he snapped, glancing down at the water that was now pooling around his boots. (Reply Houseman) "We've arrived at the lower levels, cleared an obstruction or two on the way", said Kowalski, "the baby is in the crib though, I say again, the baby is in the crib and it's time to give the feed", he added. To be honest, the sounds the rotund counsellor was making as he huffed, puffed, groaned and moaned up the ladder had her slightly worried. He was, she knew, overweight and out of condition and really in no fit state to undergo so much exertion. She contemplated asking him how he was doing but then thought that he probably needed all his breath just to climb. ~What does not kill us makes us stronger,~ she thought, repeating one of her mother's favourite maxims. ~At this rate Oggie should be much, much stronger by the time we reach our destination!~ After a moment or two, satisfied that the sounds from below her did not indicate any serious medical problem, Zia moved on, tempering her speed so that she could keep Oggie's huffs, puffs, groans and moans in earshot. "You were a little optimistic with your ten minutes but on the whole it seems you were correct," she said kindly. "The question is," she added more seriously, "Who or what is coming to join the party?" There was a faint echoing, clanging sound in the distance, but there was something odd about the sound that Cat couldn't put her finger on. Almost as if it was muffled by cotton wool, yet still audible in a way that a muffled sound as far off as it seemed should not be. In spite of herself she shivered slightly. There was definitely a spooky feel to the place. Cat had never been on an empty station before and although she knew that technically it wasn't empty as such, it still had a lonely air to it. She looked at her tricorder again. "Um. It's getting pretty close now," she pointed out. "Should we, uh, do something?" What they should do, she wasn't quite sure. Remae didn't recognise the officer but it was clear, he was a member of the crew. He could make out features of the uniform and the phaser was clear. "NAT! IT'S OK! IT'S JOHNNY-BOY! It had concerned him at first, not that he wasn't a capaple officer of course but that it seemed a little out of protocol. As a Sec Officer, Yates had a keen ear for something brewing, and the stupid remarks regarding 'Baby's Milk' coming from Houseman earlier hinted at subterfuge of some kind. Yates would be keeping a close eye on those guys, that much was certain. Nearing the outermost access point of the tube now though, Yates paused and then looked to his tricorder. The strange readings that seemingly came and went still showed clearly on the readout and were becoming stronger now. Something was up there but it was showing as nondescript, possibly even gaseous or existing in a skewed area of space within the station... or was it them that was skewed? Yates shook his head and then exhaled heavily, this place was having a weird effect on him now, his rational mind swinging from one fixed reference point to another within the space of a nano-second and turning his brain to mush in the process. Yates knelt down and then raised his hand in the air, immediately bringing his compatriots to a halt behind him. "It's directly up ahead", he whispered. "Could be lifesigns, could be... knights in armour, I have no freakin idea", said Yates. (Reply Any in the Tube) Yates checked his sidearm once again, the power indicator was now showing a third of full charge which was not right at all, proving the point that the Marines III-C's were not the only thing to be draining in energy here. "OK, let's do this", said Yates, his phasor raised now and gripped firmly as he approached, and then stepped through the accessway to be greeted with yet more bizarre uncertainties His brow furrowed as he scanned quickly from left to right with his phasor arm, his eyes settled onto the four shimmering shapes that appeared to be in the room, Humanoid, moving, apparently alive and thankfully acting in what appeared to be a non threatening manner whilst chattering in strange, skewed words that he could almost make out. "Got the wickies jet", or at least that's what it sounded like. Yates looked briefly behind him, a noise suddenly drawing his attention as Oggie attempted to squeeze his huge frame through the access hatch, the image in his mind now of his female friend pushing with both hands placed firmly upon the fat mans ample buttocks to eject him from the tube! Immediately though Nathanial's gaze was back on the shimmering humanoids, and alternating briefly between them all and the tricorder in his left hand as it pinged it's retort. Then suddenly, one of the shapes began moving towards him, Yates raised his phasor in readiness... "Matt, it's OK, Wonny woo, Were year do shave oo", said the shape before him, it's hand holding something that looked like a block of white, snow. ~Is that a weapon?~ Thought Yates "Wow, nancy ya caba", said the strange, morphing shape before him. Yates shook his head in an attempt to clear his ears. It was as though he were listening to someone speaking under water! Nathanial shook his head once again and then mouthed a reply exageratedly. "I...can't... understand... you.... you, you... thing", said Nathanial, as Oggie suddenly arrived at his side looking a tad sweaty and equally perplexed, but with just a hint of uncertain understanding now over what they were looking at. Guessing from the mixture of groans and what sounded like muffled curses coming from the Jefferies tube that it would be a little while yet before Oggie and Houseman made it out, Zia pulled out her modified tricorder and approached Smithson. She might not like the woman much but Zia was nothing if not professional, and the symptoms Smithson had just complained of did not quite tie in with the already-observed raised serotonin levels they were all experiencing. Through his consciousness was flowing all sort of considerations and reasoning. Words were never sufficient to reveal the complexity of a situation and despite having reread it for the 22th time today, there was nothing specifically clear about how the Temporal Prime Directive applied in their case. The deliberation was going even further. Everyone except him on the ship were sympathetic to the USS Spectre mission and wanted to help them find their own away team. Even the captain himself clearly ordered to cooperate with the USS Spectre and send an away mission on the station. Part of himself wanted to acknowledge the crew values and help the USS Spectre, but his logic was rather recommending they should not get involve with the USS Spectre. The fact the previous away mission crashed was not to make Syuvik sympathethic to the crew cause. The USS Mithrandir could certainly not have people die on the station, as their counterpart in this timeline was out there. His indecisiveness was quite a problem. As a commanding officer, he had not the luxury to be ambivalent and already, he had taken too much time making his mind. He asked the opinion of the crew, but not that he received it, he needed to take a decision and show the confidence in that decision that was required. Now, which one would it be? Helping the USS Spectre or going on their own............ ..... .... "Syuvik to Senior staff, meet me at observation lounge immediately" (Reply Any) (Posted by Nick Lavoie) (USS Mithrandir - Observation Lounge - Mithrandir FO, Lieutenant Syuvik - 19:52) Once everyone has taken place, Syuvik started. "As you have all been aware, I've been assessing the application of the Temporal Prime Directive to our situation to determine what should be our course of action. I must say, it wasn't the easiest rational conclusion I have made, but nevertheless, with all the time spent on thinking about, I am now highly certain positive that it is the logical and only decision that has to be made here. And I know a lot of you we will feel that it is morally wrong and that it is not what we ought to do, but in this matter, Starfleet has already laid the ground for us and their ground has taken into account ethical considerations on every side of the equation before coming up with that directive. The USS Spectre is in need and we are present and capable of helping them, but the Temporal Prime Directive take precedence here, as there are too much risk involved with such a rescue. We can't allow to have only one member of our away team die on the station as it would have terrible effect on the timeline. Helping the Spectre itself is a risk of affecting it as we may very likely change the decision that were suppose to be made if we had not been there. We have no right to modify the future of Starfleet, and if our action can really change the outcome of the USS Spectre mission, then this precisely means we have done something we should have cause we are not suppose to change anything. Therefore I submit you my final decision that we are not going to assist the USS Spectre. Rather, we are going to act as if they weren't there and find on our own way to return to our timeline without taking the risk to send anyone on the station, so without taking the risk to let anyone die here. " Syuvik took a second to take his breath. "Ensign M'elissa, Lieutenant McKenzie, Lieutenant Biggs, Ensign Stevens, we are going to come closer to the core of the phenomena. I want you to gather every information you can on that phenomena and try to find a potential to go back to our timeline. If we repeat the same experience that bring us here, we might be able to return back." (Reply any, iyw ; NRPG: you do not need to answer as this mission will be concluded probably tomorrow) "You are dismissed." (Reply any) (Posted by Nick Lavoie) (USS Mithrandir - Bridge - FO, Lieutenant Syuvik - 19:55) Syuvik walked on the bridge. "Ensign, open a communication with Captain T'vhor." "Captain, I am sure you are aware of the complexity of our situation. After thorough reflections, consultation with my crew, and depthful analysis of the Temporal Prime Directive and it's application to several ships who were caught in similar situation, I could have come to the following logical conclusion, we ought not to assist you in any way as the risks of temporal contamination are too great. I therefore inform you that the USS Mithrandir is going to move a bit away from your ship and we are gonna try to find ourselves the way to return to our own timeline. If not of the Temporal Prime Directive, I would have made a duty and a moral responsability to assist you. But I am sure, as you are a captain who abid by the same Federation guideline, that we ought not to help you." (Reply T'vhor) Once the communication was over, Syuvik went back to his chair. "Ensign, give us some distance from the USS Spectre. Get us on the other side of the station and try to bring us closer to the anomaly." then Syuvik looked at Ops. "Lieutenant Briggs, maximum power to our sensors." (Reply any.....but again.....) (Posted by Nick) (USS Mithrandir - Engineering - ACEO, Ensign Hank Stevens - 21:00) Hank was checking the readouts of both Engineering and Operations stations. Something didn't seem quite right. There was a build up of some type of energy at the station. Stevens decided to check a hunch. He instructed the ship's computer to compare the energy reading from their arrival in this time frame to what he just read. "Computer, correlate the readings taken when our ship areived in this timeline with the current readings coming from the station. Are they similar?" Hank ordered. The Computer crunched the data for a few moments. [[Readings are similar Ensign..]] the computer replied. Hank sat up at that. He asked his next question carefully. "Is it possible such an energy signature represents a temporal distortion?" Stevens asked. Again the computer crunched the data and examined the question posed to it. The system took a little longer before it was able to reply. [[Yes There is a 83 percent chance it does ..]] the system replied. Hank Stevens considered his next question very carefully before he asked it. "What is requied to initiate a temporal anomaly ?" Hank asked. The computer system replied [[ A tightly focused Tachyon beam aimed at the center of the ship's original location]] . Hank saved his data and tapped his comm badge asking "Ensign Stevens to the First Officer. I think I found a way back to our time line". (Reply: First Officer) (Posted by: Bill W.) (USS Mithrandir - Bridge - Acting CO Lieutenant Syuvik - 21:02) Syuvik was on the bridge, looking over lieutenant Briggs shoulder to have the latest news on what the sensors indicated about the anomaly. Normally, it would have been the captain Alexander to watch over the operation, but the latest news from sickbay wasn't very good. Apparently, his condition was critical. The USS Mithrandir was not equipped with the necessary technology to cure him, and it was imperative to return to their reality within the next 48 hours for him to survive. There was no question of requesting the help of this reality, the Temporal Prime Directive forbidded it. It was therefore all upon the USS Mithrandir crew's shoulder to save their captain life. Hopefully, in a very efficient manner, the science, operation and engineering department had been collaborating to put forward an idea on how to bring the USS Mithrandir back to its timeline, and eventually, a solution would come up. As he reviewed the sensors logs, a communication came in. =/\= Ensign Stevens to the First Officer. I think I found a way back to our time line =/\= "Ensign, the way you are addressing me almost sounds like you are talking to someone else. You can send the data to lieutenant Briggs on Ops. I will look the data from here." (reply Briggs) Syuvik looked carefully at the data. "Interesting. Lieutenant, what do you think of the idea?" (Reply Briggs) "Then I believe we should put it to the test." Opening the communication with ensign Stevens. "Ensign, make the necessary preparation but wait my order" (Reply Stevens) Then, Syuvik moved to his chair and opened a communication with the USS Spectre. "Captain T'vhor. I contact you because in the upcoming minutes or hour, we are going to emit a Tachyon Pulse to create a temporal disruption that, if our calculus are accurate, will allow us to get back to our timeline. I would however recommend you take some distance from the station for a brief period of time to make sure your ship is not affected as well." (Reply T'vhor) (Posted by Nick) (USS Spectre - Bridge - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 21:03) The announcement from the Tactical officer regarding an incoming transmission from the Mithrandir, broke the Captain momentarilly from his thoughts regarding Syuviks earlier decision NOT to help them. An eyebrow rising quizzically, he ordered that it be put on screen, his Betazoid intuition prompting that it might be more prudent to leave nobody in any doubt as to what the Mithrandir might now be about to announce. Instantly, the screen changed from it's familiar starfield view, the seemingly derelict research platform hanging listlessly to one side, into that of the Vulcan First Officer, Syuvik, who instantly began to speak. =/\=Captain T'vhor. I contact you because in the upcoming minutes or hour, we are going to emit a Tachyon Pulse to create a temporal disruption that, if our calculus are accurate, will allow us to get back to our timeline. I would however recommend you take some distance from the station for a brief period of time to make sure your ship is not affected as well=/\= The Captain pondered the plan just briefly, for Two point Four seconds to be precise. ~In the upcoming minutes or hour?~ The timespan mentioned seemed most illogical and unprecise for one of Vulcan heritage. The Captain quirked his head slightly to the left, and then he responded, his thoughts drifting once again to Syuviks earlier insistent remarks regarding the Mithrandirs primary concerns, regardless of the risks to the Spectre. To give the man his due though, he had recommended the Spectre to retreat to a safer distance in this instance, still though the Captain had his misgivings. "Are you sure that is a wise course of action Lieutenant?", he asked, instantly putting the Mithrandir's 'Acting CO' on the spot now, although dismissing his earlier indiscretion regarding time. (Reply Syuvik) "Past experience has shown that it is unwise to direct any form of energy at the station in it's current, unexplained state", said the Captain. "Regardless of your simulations, temporal anomolies by their very nature are unpredictable", he added. (Reply Syuvik) "I am fully aware of your predicament Lieutenant, however, due to the situation in this place and the fact that previous attempts involving any form of energy emmision have resulted in further anomolies, I remain uncertain that your plan will return you to the exact time from which you came here", said the Captain, his usual stoic Vulcan charm much in evidence now. (Reply Syuvik) NRPG: Room for more here... (Reply Syuvik, Any) (Posted by Alan) (USS Mithrandir - Bridge - Acting CO, Lieutenant Syuvik - 21:05) Syuvik was standing up, looking at Captain T'Vhor. Being acting CO and having to take such decision was sure to be looking at suspiciously by others. A new CO had always to show his skill and that he deserved such promotion, even more since it was not a promotion. But doubts for a new CO was even worst than inexperience. "Are you sure that is a wise course of action Lieutenant?", T'vhor asked. It was a logical question. As Syuvik anticipated the question, the answer was already prepared. "If you means trying our own way, it is what is quite clearly written in Starfleet regulation under the temporal prime directive. If you mean about the tachyon pulse, the probability of success is higher than 50%. I am aware we lack information on temporal anomalies and the computer cannot establish probability with perfect accuracy. But it would be illogical to allows our doubts or fear stop us from taking action. There are risks, but the risks are acceptable. Several ships succeeded returning back to their timeline and all the tests we have made indicate a percentage of success that I judge acceptable despite the probability of error. I have to conclude we must try. We would made the attempt as soon as the engineering staff are ready which, unfortunately, is not as precise as a Vulcan would normally require...therefore the minutes to hour." "Past experience has shown that it is unwise to direct any form of energy at the station in it's current, unexplained state", said the Captain. "Regardless of your simulations, temporal anomolies by their very nature are unpredictable", he added. "This might seem somehow illogical, but I've looked several ship logs about temporal anomalies. As you know, humans have often a tendency to act illogically and try to get back to their timeline despite the risks. It would have been logical than most of them never made it back, but surprisingly the rate of returning ship is incredibly high despite the lack of knowledge. The reason is still unknown to us, but that doesn't means it is coincidental. There might be a scientific explanation to explain such success.. Even if I can't be sure of it and what it is, I can't deny it either. Having talked with my crew, we are ready to take the risk. The alternative, remaining here for a longer period of time, perhaps forever, increase considerably the risk of timeline contamination. We can't ignore that either. It is not an easy decision, but it nevertheless is for me the most logical decision. I am sure you understand." "I am fully aware of your predicament Lieutenant, however, due to the situation in this place and the fact that previous attempts involving any form of energy emmision have resulted in further anomolies, I remain uncertain that your plan will return you to the exact time from which you came here", said the Captain, his usual stoic Vulcan charm much in evidence now. Syuvik didn't moved or blinked for a second. Confidence was important here....almost as much as logic. "I would lie to say I am certain it would work. I am far from certain. But it remains nevertheless the most logical action. Furthermore, what would be failure most also be taken into consideration. If our ship is destroyed trying, then we will be death, but the timeline will not be affected. If we did not make it back to our timeline and is rather sent in another time period, then we would have more information and have another chance to decide what to do. My main concern is if our attempt has an impact not only on us but on your ship and the station. But the probably of your ship being affected is incredibly low because we have established parameters and security measure to make sure to overestimate rather than underestimate the risk for your crew and ship." Syuvik paused. "However, there is a risk for your crew and your ship, I would not attempt anything without knowing you accept yourselves the risk for you crew. I will send you the data. If you oppose the attempt, I would not made it, captain. I would even say, as you are yourself a Vulcan, I know your decision will be a logical one, taking into account but your and our situation and making an impartial decision.... and will not be an emotional or impartial one so I have full confidence if your own judgement. If my own analysis of the data is accurate, you will come to the same conclusion than I did that the risk are low enough for an attempt to be made. But if my logic is flawed, then I would be more than thankful that you show me were my mistake is." Syuvik looked at lieutenant Briggs so that he send the data to Captain T'vhor. (Reply T'Vhor) (Posted by Nick) (USS Spectre - Bridge - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 21:06) =/\=But if my logic is flawed, then I would be more than thankful that you show me were my mistake is.=/\= The closing reply showed a certain 'logic', if nothing else. Syuvik was a young and relatively inexperienced officer, and as such, T'Vhor felt that the man should be given creedence in regards his commitment to the Mithrandir crew. It wasn't really that his 'Tachyon pulse' plan or logic was flawed, it was more the fact that the unpredictable nature of temporal distortion itself, relegated the entire notion to the realms of supposition and chance... and no Vulcan ever liked to deal with anything less than solid, empirical data. T'Vhor paused briefly as he ratified Syuvik's proposition. It was indeed a wildshot, but that did not mean that it wouldn't work. The Mithrandir Acting CO himself had said that the simulations had erred more on the side of success than failure, and for that at least the young Vulcan deserved some kudos. The Captain quirked his head slightly and then spoke, typically stoic and Vulcan-like as always. "I shall preview your data as requested Lieutenant", said the Captain, "please stand by... Spectre out" The screen had then returned to the familiar starfield vista that had been before, the Captain standing then in order to move to Science two whilst requesting that the data be made available directly at that location. (Reply Briggs) (Posted by Bill West) (USS Spectre - Bridge - SecO, MCPO Sam Harper - 21:07) Sam had listened to the discussion between the two Vulcans with no little amount of concentration. It seemed to him that it was foolish in the extreme to direct any form of energy at the station given what had happened previously, but thankfully it was not his decision to make. He trusted Captain T'Vhor at least to make the correct decision, even if the Vulcan on the other ship was an unknown quantity as far as Sam was concerned. After giving the matter due consideration, Captain T'Vhor replied to the Lieutenant on the Mithrandir that he would preview the data offered. He then stood and moved over to Science station 2, requesting that the data should be made available to him at that location. As soon as the data package was transmitted, Sam routed it directly to Science 2. He maintained his watch on his terminal, whilst running some calculations of his own with regards to protecting the Spectre from possible repercussions should the Mithrandir go ahead with their plan. Along with the rest of the Bridge crew, and presumably those on the Mithrandir as well, he waited to see what his own captain would decide. He just wished there was some way they could warn the away teams on the station before it all happened. (Reply Any) (Posted by Liz Geuken) (USS Mithrandir - Deflector Control - ACEO, Ensign Hank Stevens - 21:08) Hank arrived just after LT. Briggs busily engaged in checking the calculations. "Helm, withdraw to One thousand kilometres and stand by for further orders. Tactical, maintain sensor sweeps on the station and report any anomolous readings concurrent with reciprocation of temporal stasis. Inform me the moment the variables begin to vary.... as indeed they will", said the Captain. (Reply Smith, Harper) "Open a channel to the Mithrandir please", he stated, settling back into his chair now after having input the required data via the console at his right hand. (Reply Tactical, Syuvik) All at once, the viewscreen transformed once again, the face of Lieutenant Syuvik appearing upon it. "Lieutenant, I have reviewed your data as requested", said the Captain, "The data is sound. Although the margin for error is still substantial, you may begin with your plan the moment the Spectre reaches safe distance of an extra One thousand kilometres" (Reply Syuvik) The Captain nodded accordingly. "I wish you and your crew well Mr Syuvik and trust that your temporal destination is not too far from your intended one", said the Captain. He then raised his hand in the familiar Vulcan manner, spread between the four fingers. "Live long, and prosper" (Reply Syuvik, Any) The Captain then watched as the viewscreen became filled with stars and an apparently derelict station once again. "Master Chief Petty Officer Harper", said the Captain, turning now to face the tactical officer on this occasion. "I am aware of course that our away teams may not hear any warning regarding the tachyon emmisions onto the station. However, I want you to transmit the Mithrandir's intent on all frequencies and bands for the next five minutes. Hopefully, they may yet hear something if they are continuing to monitor" (Reply Harper) The Captain then ordered his crew to brace for possible disruptions that might shake the ship via a general shipwide announcement, whilst the ship took up station at the required distance. (Reply Smith, Harper, Syuvik, Any) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre - Bridge - SecO, MCPO, Sam Harper - 21:16) With his usual efficiency, the captain had reviewed the data sent by the Mithrandir and returned to his command chair, barely seating himself before he accessed the armrest console and began inputting data even as he spoke to his officers. "Helm, withdraw to One thousand kilometres and stand by for further orders. Tactical, maintain sensor sweeps on the station and report any anomalous readings concurrent with reciprocation of temporal stasis. Inform me the moment the variables begin to vary.... as indeed they will," T'Vhor ordered. "Aye, Sir," Sam replied briefly, his fingers tapping across his own console, checking the settings for the sensor sweeps and ensuring that the slightest variation would show up instantly. "Open a channel to the Mithrandir please." Immediately, Sam contacted the Mithrandir and as soon as they responded, stated: "Channel open, Sir." (Reply Syuvik) Captain T'Vhor then informed the lieutenant on the Mithrandir that he had reviewed the data that had been sent over, and that despite a substantial margin for error, the Mithrandir could put their plan into action as soon as the Spectre had removed to a safe distance of an extra one thousand kilometres. After some talk between the two ships, Captain T'Vhor wished the Mithrandir well and finally gave the Vulcan salute with his hand, coupled with the traditional valediction of "Live long, and prosper." (Reply Syuvik, Any) The conversation having finished, Sam terminated the channel and the viewscreen returned to its normal image. "Master Chief Petty Officer Harper," the Captain said, unusually turning to face Sam. "I am aware of course that our away teams may not hear any warning regarding the tachyon emmisions onto the station. However, I want you to transmit the Mithrandir's intent on all frequencies and bands for the next five minutes. Hopefully, they may yet hear something if they are continuing to monitor." "Aye Sir," Sam responded. It took mere moments to begin sending the warning message, set up on a loop for continuous transmission. ~I only hope that they get it, and if they do, that they can understand it,~ he thought. It wasn't something he said aloud though: stating the obvious was not something that his Captain would thank him for in the circumstances. Everyone on the Bridge of the Spectre knew the dangers to the away team from the actions of the other ship. The fact that the Spectre herself was withdrawing to a safer distance showed that Syuvik's plan was potentially very dangerous for anyone in the vicinity, and the Spectre away team on the station had no opportunity to withdraw. Once more, Sam was glad he was MCPO and not the one charged with making decisions like this one. As the Spectre withdrew to the required point, T'Vhor made a shipwide announcement to the crew, ordering them to brace for possible disruptions impacting the ship. Sam, continuing his broadcast on all channels and watching his panel intently for the slightest variations, planted his feet firmly on the deck and gripped the edge of his console, waiting for whatever would happen when the Mithrandir implemented its planned manoeuvre. (Reply Syuvik, Mithrandir crew, Any) (Posted by Liz Geuken) (USS Mithrandir - Bridge - Acting CO Lieutenant Syuvik - 21:17) The fact the USS Spectre was moving away predicated that captain T'vhor had maybe approved the Mithrandir plan. That was a good news. "Thanks Lieutenant." Just as he said that, Syuvik received a communication from the USS Spectre. "On screen." The image of captain T'vhor appeared on the screen. =/\= Lieutenant, I have reviewed your data as requested.......The data is sound. Although the margin for error is still substantial, you may begin with your plan the moment the Spectre reaches safe distance of an extra One thousand kilometres =/\= Syuvik nodded "Captain T'vhor, despite the Temporal Prime Directive prevented us from assisting you, it was an honor working with you and I would add, that I now know from first hand experience that the USS Spectre has an excellent captain. The Captain nodded accordingly. =/\= I wish you and your crew well Mr Syuvik and trust that your temporal destination is not too far from your intended one =/\= T'vhor then raised his hand in the familiar Vulcan manner, spread between the four fingers. =/\= Live long, and prosper =/\= Syuvik returned the blessing of prosperity. "Live long and prosper as well, captain" As the communication ended, Syuvik calculated that the USS Spectre would be one thousand kilometer away in approximately 15 seconds. As they were not ready to begin yet, they could start right away. Syuvik turned towards lieutenant Briggs. "Lieutenant, Captain T'vhor support your and Ensign Stevens finding.
