Stardate: 2406.11.11 (USS Spectre, CSO’s Office – ScO, Ensign MacDonald – 1517) Alexander accepted the chair his department head offered him and waited as the reason for the meeting was explained to him. “I called you here because I have a proposition for you. I am willing to petition the captain to have you made ACSO. I need a ranking officer in that position. These crewmen seem to only listen to officers. In addition Miller has been accepted to Starfleet Academy and will be leaving us immediately.” Unsure how he should be reacting to this news, the Scotsman kept his features neutral as the CSO continued, “The Academy has been a little short on Science officers as of late and the dropout rate is alarming. At any rate, I will not ask the Captain if you are not comfortable with this. Are you ready to step up to the plate?” Alexander was dumbofounded. Of all the possible reasons for this meeting, he’d never expected this. His mouth opened, ready to question the decision and offer alternatives but to his surprise he heard himself reply with a muted “Yes, sir.” “Now the promotion would not take effect until 1500 tomorrow so be prepared to take on those responsibilities.” There didn’t seem anything else to say, which was good as Alexander doubted he could have found his voice again at such short notice. He walked blankly out of the room and let his legs pick a destination. (Reply any, none) (Posted by Michael Drake) Stardate: 2406.11.12 (USS Spectre, Bridge – EO, Cadet John Smith – 0017) One little mistake, a few careless words, and now he was sat at the helm of one of Starfleet’s proud vessels. If he’d had time to think it through, part of him would have relished in the secret thrill of a boyhood dream coming true, but the console before him was alive with readouts as the Spectre carried herself at high warp. John’s hands began to shake. "Sir," John resisted the urge to turn around as the crewman who’d replaced him at the Engineering console reported back to Ensign Banowsky, "All support crafts are presently onboard, and Commander Tahlmari's ship is docked onto the Spectre." "Alright, well keep scans going for the next two hours. We need to be cautious. Cadet, have you come up with any abnormal readings?" Cursing under his breath, John realised he hadn’t yet started the scans requested. ~Keep it together! Deep breaths…~ His hands raced over the controls, desperate to catch up before anyone noticed. “N-n-nothing coming through on scanners, sir. We’re alone out here.” Finishing the scans, John turned round just in time to see another officer approach Ensign Banowsky and ask, "Morning guys! Do you need a hand with any thing?" Finding sudden interest in the helm, John thought it better to allow the Third Officer to deal with the blue-suited newcomer. (Reply Banowsky, Bently) (POSTED by Michael) (USS Spectre Bridge Ensign Will Banowsky 00.21) "Morning guys! Do you need a hand with any thing?" Will turned to the doctor and walked over to him. "Not really, just running some scans on an anomaly we picked up." (reply Williams) "Just some shuttle that may or may not be following us. Cadet Smith over here thought he picked up a shuttle. Except a second afterwards it was gone. So to be on the safe side we are going to be scanning for the next two hours." (reply Williams) "As you see nothing too fascinating. But if you’re not busy for the next couple of hours, I could always use another officer on the bridge." (reply Williams) "Anymore results Cadet Smith?" Will said turning back to the cadet after he was finished talking to the doctor. (reply Smith) (reply Smith, Williams) (posted by Banowsky) (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – EO, Cadet John Smith – 0831) John was feeling lousy. He’d barely had a couple of hours for sleep before being called back to Engineering with the day shift. ~At least that cranky Andorian isn’t around!~ Trying to keep himself to himself, John was startled by a tap on his shoulder. "Excuse me, crewman." Turning to see who was trying to get his attention, John nearly jumped out of his skin as he came face to face with Captain Remae Ktell. “Cadet, sir. Cadet John Smith.” The Bajoran seemed genuinely aggrieved of his mistake, causing John to instantly regret correcting him. ~What difference does my rank make?~ He did his best to put the blunder out of his mind as the Captain carried on, "Oh, sorry cadet. I didn't know we had visiting Starfleet Cadets onboard. Where can I find the Chief?" “I… I… I believe he’s reporting to Commander Orde on the situation with the shuttlebays, sir.” "Very well, cadet, ask him to contact with a status report on the core when he has a moment, I'll be on the Bridge." The Captain was already walking away as an awestruck Cadet John Smith replied, “Yes, sir. I’ll be sure to pass on the message.” (Reply Banowsky, Bently, any) (Posted by Michael Drake) (USS Spectre, Counsellor's Office, COUNS, Ensign {SG} Divon Lronen - 0838) "May I ask how you like the Spectre?" asked Tahlmari. ~Classic... an attempt to turn the tables. Intelligent man,~thought Divon to himself. "So far I enjoy her and like the crew. Being a counsellor is difficult on a starship at times though. You often meet with resistence for doing your job," stated Divon with a grin, "Not everyone is as open as you are." With that Divon raised an eyebrow and smiled. (Reply Tahlmari) "I'm sure, Sir, you know I've read your service record. Again, standard procedure. I have to say, you've led a fascinating, and at times difficult, life. I can't help but feel a great deal of respect for everything you've overcome," stated Divon. (Reply Tahlmari) "I suppose Maroni Syndrome aside, I have to ask how you're dealing with the disappearance of Captain Lowell. I can't pretend to understand how you're feeling about that loss, but on the outset you seem to be coping well... how are you doing overall?" asked Divon. He was careful not to look overly sympathetic or sappy over it. Divon could tell that this man did want... probably didn't accept... pity. He'd been through too much in his life, seen too much to make pity appropriate. Divon had already surmised that Tahlmari was a survivor and he made his voice and his question sound straight forward as a result. (Reply Tahlmari) (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (USS Spectre- Counsellor's Office- StratOps- Commander Tahlmari- 0840) "So far I enjoy her and like the crew," Lronen said. "Being a counsellor is difficult on a starship at times though. You often meet with resistence for doing your job. Not everyone is as open as you are." With that Divon raised an eyebrow and smiled. Tahl dropped his head, shook it and looked backup with a big smile. "Yes, well, I have rarely been accused of being Mr. Open. I have tended to shy away from that quality with some of my experiences." "I'm sure, Sir, " the counselor said understandingly, "you know I've read your service record. Again, standard procedure. I have to say, you've led a fascinating, and at times difficult, life. I can't help but feel a great deal of respect for everything you've overcome," stated Divon. Tahl shrugged his shoulders. He was never very good at recieving a compliment. More often than not, they just seemed to be so incinsere. But he got a different feeling from this counselor. "Thanks, I guess. I really just did what I had to." "I suppose Maroni Syndrome aside, I have to ask how you're dealing with the disappearance of Captain Lowell. I can't pretend to understand how you're feeling about that loss, but on the outset you seem to be coping well... how are you doing overall?" Tahl looked into Lronen's eyes. He managed to look as passive as possible. But he had certainly went straight for the tough question. Tahl had to admire that. There was no dancing around the issue. He took a deep breath and looked through him, through the bulkhead, off into space. "Can I tell you a little secret?," Tahl asked softly. "I used to have an imaginary friend. Not an imaginary friend like small children have, but one that actually existed me. There were times in my life where I was so lonely, and Bob, that was my friends name, was the only person who would be my friend. He was far from perfect, and he often talked me into as much trouble as he talked me out of. But there were times that I would have gone mad without him. "Bob stayed with me a long, long time. In fact, he gave me some of the answers to my Starfleet enterance exam. Is that cheating when you get help from your imaginary friend? Anyway, Bob kept me company for a long time. And then I met Alexandra Lowell. We made a connection. And then there was the accident on CRF, and our minds were somehow empathically linked. And she made me feel so ... less alone. She made me feel that I mattered in the universe to one person. I felt love." Tahl stopped talking and stood up and paced. "And now that's gone. I knew the empathic connection wouldn't span the universe when I took the position with Strategic Ops, but I always knew that she'd be there, at home, when I got back. And now she won't. How do you cope with that kind of loss Counselor? I guess I just take every day, one day at a time. And of course, I have to keep up my sense of humor." With that Tahl focused his eyes again and looked at the counselor with an evil grin. "Do you have a good sense of humor counselor?" (reply Lronen) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Spectre, Counsellor's Office, COUNS, Ensign {SG} Divon Lronen - 0843) Divon listened intently as the Commander opened up to him. He couldn't believe it, according to Tahlmari's service record he had never done that before. It overwhelming... Tahlmari focused his eyes again and looked at the counselor with an evil grin. "Do you have a good sense of humor counselor?" Divon grinned back, "Well Commander... sometimes a sense of humour is the only thing that keeps you sane in this business. My last mission, on my last ship, I was on board a mercy ship... The USS Trail of Tears... that mission involved a moon colony that had suffered a leak of poisonous gas. That would be bad enough, except it leaked into the preschool. I spent my time counselling children, preparing them to die and crew who... well, were having difficulty dealing with things to say the least. The question becomes, who counsels the counsellor... well, I counselled myself and fellow counsellors by... well," Divon cast his eyes down, "pulling practical jokes." (Reply Tahlmari) "Are you familiar with Tribbles? Our head counsellor became very familiar with Tribbles... or rather her quarters did. I wonder if she ever found her floor again," sighed Divon with a smile. (Reply Tahlmari) (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (USS Spectre- Counsellor's Office- StratOps- Commander Tahlmari- 0845) Tahl listened to the counselor's own story of the Trail of Tears. He'd read about that in a report, and was familiar with the circumstances. "The question becomes, who counsels the counsellor... well, I counselled myself and fellow counsellors by... well," Divon cast his eyes down, "pulling practical jokes." Tahl's opinion of this counselor's esteem immediately rose. "Really?" "Are you familiar with Tribbles? Our head counsellor became very familiar with Tribbles... or rather her quarters did. I wonder if she ever found her floor again," sighed Divon with a smile. Tahl sat back in his chair and burst out in a peel of laughter. "Counselor, have you ever tasted Ferengi Maril. It's kind of like jello, but it doesn't taste anywhere nearly as good. In fact it's quite vile. And it has, well, a cleansing quality to the system. There was a bully at the academy who made the misfortune of picking on one of the smaller and more timid species of cadets in my dorm. I programed his replicator to only produce Maril." (reply Lronen) "Actually it goes further than that. I reprogrammed the whole replicator system in the academy to respond to his voice, and whereever he went, on campus, he could only get Maril. He recieved an anonymous tip, that if he were to apologize to the cadet, and his entire species, then he might get a decent meal, once again. ahhh detant." (reply Lronen) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Spectre, Main Engineering – EO, Cadet John Smith – 0846) After a few moments of staring into space, Cadet Smith recovered enough to remember where his legs were and began to walk through Main Engineering to attend to his own duties. “Mornin’ sugar!” The syllables rolled heavily over the Caitian’s lips, seeming to slide lazily across the room with all the stealth and feline grace of her hips. “G-g-good morning, ma’am,” the young cadet stammered back. “You don’t have to call me that, sunshine. I’m not an officer.” “I just saw the Captain. He… he thought I was a crewman.” Uncertainty passed over his face, disturbing the proud grin that he crept up on him. ~This probably sounds silly to her!~ Resolving to get back to business, he cleared his throat and finished by saying, “He wants Ensign H’Chir to report to him on the status of the warpcore.” “Is that so… I’ll be sure to pass the message on. For the moment, the Chief wants you to liaise with Science. They’re trying to build up our sensor capacity for when we hit the interference at our destination.” He thought for a minute that he might faint. It had taken all of six hours, but the knot in his stomach had finally left the bridge and caught up with him. ~Great! Science! What do I know about cutting through sensor interference!?!~ “You need a hand finding your way?” Blinking to bring himself back to his surroundings, John looked up into her fang-framed smile and said, “No, ma’am.” (posted by Michael) (USS Spectre, Counsellor's Office, COUNS, Ensign {SG} Divon Lronen - 0847) "Counselor, have you ever tasted Ferengi Maril. There was a bully at the academy who made the misfortune of picking on one of the smaller and more timid species of cadets in my dorm. I programed his replicator to only produce Maril," stated Tahlmari. Divon looked at the as he recounted his story and did everything he could to make his face an impassive mask. "I see," Divon said formally. "Actually it goes further than that. I reprogrammed the whole replicator system in the academy to respond to his voice, and whereever he went, on campus, he could only get Maril. He recieved an anonymous tip, that if he were to apologize to the cadet, and his entire species, then he might get a decent meal, once again. ahhh detant." Divon looked Tahlmari straight in the eye, and did everything he could to supress the laughter boiling up inside of him. "Commander, I am most disappointed with you. That level of conduct from a Starfleet Officer is simply not acceptable. Really, I'm surprised at you," Divon layed it on thick until Tahlmari was looking a bit confused and then broke out into peels of laughter. "Sorry... couldn't resist! I'll have to remember Maril!" (reply Tahlmari) (posted by Jeff Bergeron) (USS Spectre- Counsellor's Office- StratOps- Commander Tahlmari- 0849) Tahl shook his head and smiled at the counselor. "I think Counsellor, that it's going to be very dangerous having the two of us on the same ship. We could be a bad influence on each other. We better not sit next to each other in staff meetings." (reply Lronen) "So Counsellor, is there anything else I can do for you, or is that it?" Tahl asked, hopefully, but already knowing better. (reply Lronen) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Spectre, Counsellor's Office, COUNS, Ensign {SG} Divon Lronen - 0850) "I think Counsellor, that it's going to be very dangerous having the two of us on the same ship. We could be a bad influence on each other. We better not sit next to each other in staff meetings." "Or perhaps we should ensure we do... shake things up a little bit," said Lronen. "So Counsellor, is there anything else I can do for you, or is that it?" Tahl asked, hopefully, but already knowing better. Lronen sighed. This had been fun, but work had commence. "Actually, I need you to look into the viewer in front of you at the images and tell me what you see. I need your first honest response. Don't hold anything back," stated Lronen as he activated the terminal. (Reply Tahlmari) (posted by Jeff Bergeron) (USS Spectre Counsellor's Office StratOps Commander Tahlmari 0852) And so the real interview had begun. Tahl knew it had been too good to be over. He looked at the "ink blots" on the viewer. he'd been through this test before and had to smile as he looked on. They usually looked the same to him. "You really want me to be honest?" Tahl asked. The counselor nodded his affirmative. "Well,..., this first one looks like a woman's vagina. The second one looks like my mother's breasts, and the third..." He cocked his head to one side and then the other, humming and hawing over the pictures. "That one looks like a T'Kon fighter." He looked up at the counselor and smiled again. "Well, you did tell me to be honest. Was it helpful, to give you any insight into my mental state?" (reply Lronen) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Spectre, CSO’s Office – EO, Cadet Smith – 0901) John poked his head around the doorframe, “Hello? Ensign Ronsworth? Quatin Ions dose have some strange side effect. Warren has a better knowladge of the side effects Quatin Ions then I do." “The side effects shouldn’t be to severe captain, the most common will be space sickness but some crewmen might suffer seizures or even comas. Though I don’t think that shouldn’t be common.” Warren replied. "I would say for about 24 hours at most before the first signs begine to appear." Asked Andrew. “Yeah that sounds about right, though I wouldn’t to stay much longer than that. After 48 hours we might start having some very sick and possibly dead crewman. If the shields fail I would suggest that we get out of the area as soon as possible.” (posted by paul) (USS Spectre: Deck 9, Corridor C â?“ TAC/SC/aFO Pierce Orde â?“ 0940) Pierce strode down the corridor, the tricorder he had co opted in hand. ~Where would I be without this thing?~ he mused as he activated one of the modifications he had made to it â?“ a HUD in his eyewear â?“ and reviewed the dayâ??s business, ticking off the meeting with the chief engineer. ~I hope he can get those refinements I proposed to his excellent plan working.~ An alert flashed down in the corner of his eye. Bringing it up, he saw that it was a standard crewman record for a new transfer. ~Sometimes I feel like all we have are ensigns~ Reviewing the record on the go, he tapped his commbadge (the captain had been kind enough to give him warning about the new face reporting to him). â?śCommander Orde to Ensign Lok. Opening the door, he looked over to the single occupant "a nauseated female Rigellian petty officer â?“ and then to the rest of the room, which was *covered* in entrails of some kind. A crewman lay on the ground, his body battered and his neck bent at an impossible angle. â?śWhat happened here?â?? he asked the lady. â?śIâ??m in the quarters next door. I heard what sounded like an explosion through the bulkhead, and I rushed in here to find Paulâ?| right where he is now.â?? Maxwell eyed the room, noticing the gruesome effects. The area was beginning to stink as well. ~Something did go off in here, but it obviously didnâ??t set off the shipâ??s security sensors. And what is that ichor on the wall? (posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre, CEO’s Office CEO, Ensign H’Chir 1006) After receiving the go ahead from Commander Orde, H’Chir had remained in the shuttle bay for some time co ordinating the engineering teams that would be erecting the second shelf and installing a more robust tractor grid. Still he’d been unable to ignore the subtle vibrations of the starship as she sliced through space at high warp, and he’d made the journey back to his engine room. The team were quiet and working in a surprisingly orderly fashion given his absence. At the situation table, M’Rurrh kept watch over the status of she ship, her tail swishing from side to side the only movement in an otherwise still centrepiece. He moved through to his office and was greeted by a stack of PADDs on his desk. He lifted one from the top and began to read. Half a sentence later he was stopped by a familiar drawl, “Don’t sit down.” He stayed hovering above his seat as she stepped forward and swapped the PADD in his hand for one she’d brought in with her. ~Always the theatrics! Why can’t she just tell me?~ “What am I supposed to do with this?” “Read it.” A momentary pause, just long enough for H’Chir to consider that his Caitain “mate” might now leave him in peace, and then she carried on, “In the turbo lift. The captain wants a report on the core. Everything you need is in there. Go play Department Head, the rest of us will manage all the real work.” He scowled and pushed past her, back out of Engineering no more than five minutes from his arrival. "Command to me means respect. Earned respect that is. I feel that the key part about command is that you need to be able to earn the respect of your crewmembers, and the best way to do that is to show them respect. Off duty treat them as equals, listen to their advice. And rule number one is to not be an ass." Will paused for a second, "Have you ever played sports sir?" (reply Orde) "A command officer is like a coach in any sports. They need to know the crew's limits, need to be able to teach the crew, and I return to the respect, they need to respect the crew, and in turn the crew will respect them. They need to also trust the crew. Like in sports, if a team doesn't respect the coach, they wont give him or her their best. Like wise if the coach doesn't trust the team, he or she will have no confidence in their abilities when the situation is most dire. Does that answer your question sir?" Who would knock rather than use the chime? Poor fellow's knuckles.~thought Divon smiling. "Come in!" called out Divon cheerfully. In walked Doctor Williams. "Hi Lronen I hope that I am not disturbing you. I just wondered if I could catch you for a minute." "Not a problem at all. I'm just taking a short break in between appointments," said Divon. "I've been asked by the Captain to inoculate the crew against the radiation were expecting to receive," Williams said gesturing towards him with the hypospray. "So, its my turn to play patient it seems, right Doctor?" Divon stated grinning. "Just to warn you that this is quite potent and if you feel unwell at all please come to sickbay right away okay." "Absolutely!" Divon offered his arm to Williams. He never really liked injections, but understood that they were rather important, especially when going into a potentially dangerous situation. Andrew injected the hypospray into the offered arm and stood back. "Now that's done with. how are things going with you and your work?" Divon considered that question for a second. Counsellor/patient privilege was very important to him in these cases. Divon would have to choose his words carefully to ensure that he didn't breach it at any rate. "Well, overall things have been good. its been very busy of course. It seems that the ship keeps taking on new personnel, which means more examinations. I'm sure you can understand that. I will say though, its good to meet everyone in the crew. Most have tried their best to be helpful and accommodating, despite their obvious dislike for psych examinations and in some cases counsellors. I'm sure you an understand THAT too," smiled Divon. (reply Williams, any ) (posted by Jeff Bergeron) (USS Spectre, Sickbay - CMO - Williams 1340) Andrew but his medicl kit down on the table and took out the mound of empity hypospray cartridges. "Computer transfer the list of crew that have been inoculated and cross referance it with the crew manifest." he picked up new cartridges as he waited for the computer. [there are two discrepancies] "who are they?" [Ensign JG, Lok and Commander, Tahlmari] ~okay they must have slipped by me~ "Computer where is Ensign JG, Lok." [Ensign JG, Lok is on the bridge] Andrew picked up his medical kit and his PADD. "Computer transfer files on Ensign JG, Lok and Commander, Tahlmari to my PADD." [transfer complete] with that he walked out of sickbay. (posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre, Bridge - CONN - Lok 1345) Lok stood at the small station on the bridge. He hoped he would be able to see the mission take off on arrival at the star, but his shift was almost over. He might try and stay anyway, but the bridge was a busy place. He would hate to be in the way. If he did leave he hoped to meet more of the crew back in ten forward. Lok was thankful his shifts weren't at abstract times. Andrew entered the bridge and saw Lok strate away.He crossed over to the ensign. "hallo ensign. my name is Andrew I'm the CMO on board. it's good to see a new face around here." "Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm just trying to get accustomed to the ship. Why the surprise visit?" "Just to say that the Captain has asked me to inoculate the crew against possible radiation effects." Andrew took out a hypospray from his medical kit. "this is quite strong stuff. so if you feel unwell at all please come down to sickbay right away." "uhhhh.....will do" "You should not get any side effects so don't worry but it would be wrong to me not to mention it." Andrew injected the hypospray into Lok's arm. " That wasn't too bad. I hope you have my medical record though." "Ow by the way. when you have a free minute would you mind coming down to Sickbay so that I can give you aquick check over." "No problem I get off duty soon." "okay see you later then." Andrew nodded to Lok and then left the bridge. Lok turned back to the small console off against the wall. He saw the small chronometer flash 1400. He smiled and headed for the turbolift as several fresh officers stepped onto the bridge. [Commander Tahlmari is in his quarters] Andrew gave a sigh. ~ask a stupid question get a stupid answer~ "computer where is Commander Tahlmari quarters. [VIP quarters deck 2] ~well at least I'm near by~ Andrew walked down the corridor to the VIP quarters and pressed the comm butten. the door swung open and he stepped slowly inside. "this stuff is potent but should not give you any side effects. but if you do feel unwell at all please do not hesitate to come to sickbay." (reply Tahlamri) he injected the arm he was offered. "ow by the way I have not done a medical check on you since you arrived if it is possible could you come down to sickbay for when you have a minute." (reply Tahlamri) (reply Tahlamri, any) (posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre, Ten Forward - CONN - Lok 1430) Lok twirled the interesting bit of pasta with his fork. He had never heard of bow tie pasta, but the dish sounded interesting. He was nearly done with his plate, when he felt a headache start behind his Ferengi ears. It felt like a normal headache, and he guessed it was due to how busy he had been lately. He lifted his hand to rub the spot. Suddenly his arm tingled with pain. He rolled back his sleeve to look at the spot where the hypospray had been injected. There was a small black and blue circle and the whole area was discolored. The throbbing grew as it krept its way to the front of his head. ~The hypospray, I must be allergic~ Lok didn't blame Andrew in anyway. Lok was raised on a deep space mining facility. He guessed record keeping there wasn't exactly official. He tried to stand. In the process he knocked over his chair and the one next to it. He could feel several eyes watching him as he staggered towards the door. His vision blurred as the pain increased. He walked through the doors, but his vision soon faded to black. He felt momentarily weight less and passed out before collapsing. (reply Andrew, anyone nearby) (posted by Chris Neighbors) (USS Spectre, Sickbay CMO Williams 1433) "Ten foreward to sickbay medical emergancy. Mr. Lok has collapsed." ~oh no~ "on my way." Andrew leaped out of his chair. grabbed the medical kit on the table beside him and ran out the door. (posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre, Ten forward CMO Williams 1439) Andrew entered at a run. he saw Lok lying on the floor beside a table. with tow strides he was over to him. he dropped down beside him. "Lok can you hear me. Its Andrew you are going to be okay." (reply Lok if want to) he grabbed a tricorder from med kit and scanned him quickly. ~it looks like Anaphylaxis his blood pressure is dropping~ "Okay Lok you are having an anaphylactic reaction. I'm going to give you some to ease it." he grabbed a hypo spray from the medical kit and emptied its contents into his neck. he opened Lok's mouth wide to look at his tongue. ~that looks normal~ he felt Lok's throat but it was the right size. he finally slid Lok's sleeve up to reveal the site of the inoculation. he could see small black and blue circle and the whole area was discolored. ~oh crap this is going to be a problem~ "okay Lok I'm going to take you back to Sickbay for further treatment." (reply Lok if want) "Andrew two transporter room two, two to be transported directly to sickbay." he felt the transporter beam grip him and the room fade away. (reply Lok, any) (posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre, Sickbay CMO Williams 1445) Andrew looked down at Lok on the bio bed. he double check Lok's vital signs. they were returning to normal. "Okay Lok. I want you to open your eyes for me. your in sickbay. your okay." (reply Lok) "You'll be okay. you had an allergic reaction to the inoculation that I gave you." (reply Lok) "Take it easy. don't get up to fast. I don't want you back on duty right away. okay relax I'll let you go as soon as you ready." (reply Lok) The computer beeped at Andrew and he picked up the PADD. "By the look of the results Lok we are going to have a problem. it says here that you have a reaction to all the anti radiation medication that we have on board. this means that if the shields fail you will get very sick fast." (reply Lok) Andrew put a reassuring hand on Lok's shoulder. "don't worry Lok. as the old human saying goes there is more then one way to skin a cat. I'll go and talk to the medical team and the Captain. well figure some thing out." As per the Captain's orders every person setting foot on the ship gets a psych exam. As you're an SFI Agent, yours is very important," replied Divon with a smile. Aeryn knew that the captain did not like her presence on the ship but she did have a job to do. “I understand.” "So, tell me a bit about yourself Ensign," said Divon. She knew that the captain would probably allow him to probe into her mind, she would try to resist. Her meta-conscience was stronger than most but still this councilor was a trained empath. Aeryn could hold her own against a light, passing scan and she had been trained in controlling her abilities but to face a Betazoid. A well studied Betazoid at that. She realized this would take all of her concentration. “I come from a large Starfleet family. My mother is an Admiral and my father is a captain. I have three older brothers. Two are in command and one is in counseling. I love my brothers and try to see them as often as I can.
