NRPG: LOL Aren't you all too precious. Thanks for the applause, know that it does not fall on deaf ears, perhaps blind eyes. But that's not important. What it does do is remind me that there are a lot more sci-fi shows to be done. And I finally got the one for this one. Woo! Begin 80's theme music. Theorizing that one could time-travel within his own lifetime, Captain Caladryll "Cal" Sevant led an elite crew into space, to develop a top-secret project known as Quantum Warp. Pressured to prove his theories or lose funding, Captain Sevant prematurely stepped into the project accelerator, and vanished... He awoke to find himself in the past, suffering from partial amnesia and facing a mirror image that was not his own. Fortunately, contact with his own time was maintained through brain-wave transmissions with Oggie, the project counselor, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Captain Sevant can see and hear. Trapped in the past, Captain Sevant finds himself warping from life to life, put things right that once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next Warp will be the Warp home. Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do ...... Images of Sevant in funny clothes Today's secret compile word is "Oh Boy". Sevant turned to look back at the planet again, and stayed silent as he did so. Caladryll was not a scientist, not by trade, but he'd studied plenty at Vulcan, and Earth. He could grasp, with difficulty, most of the concepts involved in the situation they found themselves in. However, one didn't have to be a scientist to decide that a man was dead. Another couple minutes passed, in contemplation. The ship was holding steady now, away from where the planet had been. Finally, he could take it no more. "Yeoman," he said as he half-turned. "Mark Mister Linskens as missing in action, as of this Stardate." He sat down in his chair and was about to order some probes dropped when suddenly an excited voice said: "SIR! WE must go to the position of the portal! NOW! I believe Master Linskens to be there, enveloped in a off-universal bubble of some kind. That's why we can't see it. Our sensors can't pick it up! But it will be there, I am sure! But hurry! Unless the bubble is working like an environmental suit, which is highly questionable, he will not be able to survive much longer!" Sevant spun in the chair and looked at Ensign Bellephoron, eyes narrowed. He turned back to the screen and watched it, weighing the ship's safety vs the possibility that he could bring one more man home alive, in a year when he was loosing them like sand through a sieve. "Set a course, transfer coordinates to the CONN." He ordered. "But be ready to pull out again." He turned his head to face Bellephoron, "If it appears the ship is going to be in any danger, we're pulling out. Be quick about whatever you're going to do Ensign." (reply: as desired) (USS Kitty Hawk, Sickbay - ACMO Josh Caskie - 2325) Josh sat there waiting for Dr Jahlen's reply and was almost certain that she saw a smile flit across her face, although it was gone too quickly for her to be entirely certain. "Dr. Caskie, you know as well as I do that while you are a patient you are under my orders. However... here is the pain medication you requested." Josh sighed as she felt the effects of the hypospray begin to dissipate the headache that had been nagging her since she had been beamed on board and looked up at Dr Jahlen as she continued. "...and your scans and tests results are concluded and show nothing that would cause us concern, so I will certify you as fit for duty." Josh shook the hand that Dr Jahlen extended as she continued, "Congratulations Doctor, *you* are now in charge of the insane asylum." Standing up Josh smiled at her. "Thank you doctor. I'm sorry if I seemed exasperated or pushy but I'm sure you're well aware of the saying that doctors make the worst patients. Now let's see if we can get the remaining members of the away team certified fit and sent back to their quarters, and then perhaps if you can spare the time you can update me on what has been happening whilst I've been away." "We will certainly be glad of your help doctor, at this late hour and after the time we've had here, I am very reluctant to call on the medical staff who should be resting. Everything is just about done, only some test results pending and the surgical alterations to make, but as you said those aren't urgent, just that I have found that most away teams who've had it done, like to have their own faces back as soon as possible." Jahlen moved over to the team station and brought up some records, scrolling through the list of names as Dr. Caskie stood at her side. "You will see we had an influx of patients after you went to the planet. A Cardassian Galor attacked us when we were making first contact with an alien insectoid-type race. A Cardassian infiltrated the ship and was injured and captured, however he managed to gain his freedom, killed poor Ensign S'Anra in a most horrible manner and kidnapped Doctor Ari. As for the insectoids, they were in a generations ship that had been traveling through space for hundreds of years to find the very planet you were on. When the planet disappeared, they disappeared along with it, so I've heard... You must tell me of your adventures too, and how we happen to have an Iradonian on our ship." "I'll live, Sir," Susan said. She looked over at Linskens; Sevant did so as well, briefly, before looking back at her. "Thank you for going back for him; we all owe him our lives. If it hadn't been for Linskens none of us would be back here at all." The Captain nodded at that, but only briefly. His order had been a small one; it had been Ensign Bellephoron who'd done the work. "There's one other thing you need to know now, Sir. Lieutenant McLaren brought back one of the natives of the planet. A female, Arania, it seems they formed some kind of bond. I gather she helped him and Linskens fix the shuttle... it'll all be in my report, Sir, but you should know one thing. That is a very minor breach of the Prime Directive compared to what Colonel Straton was doing down there, and by the time any of the rest of us knew about Arania's presence on the shuttle it was not possible to send her back without stranding the rest of us there too." Sevant leaned back in his chair and nodded, "I knew about that already," he said. "I have let her go on Mr. McLaren's recognizance, seeing as we can't return her at this time." He continued. "The impact on their civilization will be impossible to determine, until that planet reappears in our universe." (reply: Rivers) (posted by Trout) (USS Kitty Hawk- Personal Quarters- CEO- Lt. Matthew glanced at the first two selections. "Acturian Eggs and Fried Bolar, with Wogot flat bread and Nimik jelly And Andorian Bas'nath Steak with Roasted Blue Tubers and Binag Mash." he said reading. With a chuckle, Arania went to sit down at the table. "They sound delicious, I can't wait to eat. What will you be having, beloved?" "Well I've never tried either of those, so I think I'll have the same." He replicated the requested food. Matthew brought the four plates and the smaller sides to the table. He replicated some Mildreg dinner wine, since it seemed the best choice for dinner and ferried it to the table, which was very full of food. "Well here's to many more meals to come and to finding someone special." he said raising his glass of wine. She was nearing the end of her shift and taking care of some of her administrative responsibilities before turning things over to alpha shift -- updating patient records, supply inventories, and the like. She was looking forward to getting back to the Boudicca, where a larger staff might mean she could get off gamma shift and back to beta shift at least. A flashing light on the monitor console caught her eye, and she turned to inspect the updated readout. Her eyes widened slightly and then she hit her comm badge. "Sickbay to Dr. Caskie. Sir, Colonel Straton has just regained consciousness." She glanced over at the isolation ward and saw the COUNSEX strolling into the room. "And it looks like Counselor Marsh has just gone in there." (reply Caskie) (posted by Aaron) (USS Kitty Hawk - Sickbay, Isolation Ward - TAC/SC/2O Lt. Cmdr. Aleksander Stolev - Day 21 - 0905) "Ahh, she's awake! Now that is what I call good tiding! Good morning, dear lady. And to think that I came down here with a little light reading material to assist Sasha with his wake." Counselor Marsh then extended the PADD he was carrying, which Sasha took warily. "It's War and Peace," Marsh said, "a bit long and a bit dry at times, but otherwise quite a gripping story. Ahh, but I think we haven't been officially introduced, have we?" Marsh extended his hand to Eva while Sasha looked at the PADD in amusement. _War and Peace_ was still required reading in Russian secondary schools, over five hundred years after its original publication. Somehow he doubted that the Counselor had ever read it in the original Russian. He looked up from the PADD to see that Eva had tried to sit up and just now realized that she was in restraints. Her eyes narrowed in anger and Sasha braced himself for the outburst that he was sure would come very shortly. After having introduced himself, Marsh looked around for a place to sit and started to lower himself onto a small chair that appeared entirely unprepared for the gravitational assault about to befall it. Thinking better of it at the last moment, Marsh decided instead to remain standing. "Perhaps not," Marsh said sighing as he went upright. "It's so hard to find decent furniture around here, especially one tailored to withstand my girth. Anyway," he said, smiling at Eva. "So how do we feel? Any headaches? Nausea? Extreme dizzy spells? Bad dreams, perhaps?" Before Eva could answer, Dr. Caskie came into the room. "Good morning Colonel, I'm glad to see that you are finally awake. How do you feel? Any residual headaches or other aches and pains?" "Who the hell are you?" Eva snapped back, her anger and frustration quite obvious. "And what the HELL IS GOING ON!! WHY AM I STRAPPED TO THIS BED AND WHY HAVE YOU BASTARDS DRUGGED ME!?" She then threw her head back down on the pillow and took several deep breaths in a visible effort to calm herself down at least somewhat. "Well the minor aches and pains are simply treated," replied Caskie, as though the outburst had never happened. "A small dose of painkiller should alleviate all those symptoms. And I will prescribe that for you. The headache however I am not happy about treating with medication at present. It doesn't present itself as a medical problem more something that the Councillor might need to treat and I am happy to see him already here." Caskie nodded towards the Counselor. "Please feel free to report to me once you are finished Counselor." She stepped back to let him carry on and looked at the other people in the room. "Perhaps we should allow the Counselor and the Colonel some privacy at present don't you think?" "Sasha stays," Eva said firmly while glaring at Caskie. "And you can take your pain killer and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I'll deal with the pain on my own, thank you very much. You can keep *all* your drugs to yourself." She then looked at Marsh and then Sasha and back to Marsh. "Would someone *please* tell me what the hell is going on? Where are we and how did we get here?" Sasha glanced at Marsh before replying. "We're on the USS Kitty Hawk. It's a temporary ship for our use while the Boudicca is undergoing repairs. We had quite a battle with a Doenitz ship and a Ferengi while you were gone. Anyway, we received your distress call, and were given this ship to mount a rescue." He glanced again at Marsh, unsure how much farther he should go. (reply Marsh, Eva, Caskie iyw, any) (posted by Aaron) (USS Kitty Hawk, Sickbay, Isolation Ward, MCO Lt Colonel Eva Straton, 0906) Eva blinked as a rotund man wearing medical blue walked into the room. ~Who the hell is he?~ She thought as the man started talking in a seemingly friendly and familiar way. Eva frowned as he handed Sasha a PADD and then turned his attention to her and extended his hand. Eva tried to sit up when she suddenly noticed that she was restrained. Her frowned deepened and her eyes went from Ensign Marsh to Sasha and back again, her eyes widening first in surprise then narrowing in anger. Ensign Marsh asked Eva some questions but before she could answer the doors opened again and woman, also wearing medical blue swept into the room as is she owned the place. "Good morning Colonel, I'm glad to see that you are finally awake. How do you feel? Any residual headaches or other aches and pains," The woman asked, who Eva noticed wore the rank insignia of an Ensign though she looked to be older than Eva. "Who the hell are you?" Eva snapped back her frustration growing and her patience growing short. "And what the HELL IS GOING ON!! WHY AM I STRAPPED TO THIS BED AND WHY HAVE YOU BASTARDS DRUGGED ME!?" She threw her head back down on the pillow and took several deep breaths trying to calm herself. ~Something is wrong. Terribly wrong.~ She thought as she closed her eyes and started silently reciting a mantra to calm herself, as the unknown woman continued. ~Have to remain calm. Need to think clearly.~ "Well the minor aches and pains are simply treated. A small dose of painkiller should alleviate all those symptoms. And I will prescribe that for you. "I see, we are going doing this road, are we. Very well. I am Doctor Caskie. I am the ACMO and at present the acting CMO of this sickbay facility. You have been restrained and drugged under my orders and frankly your outburst at present does not incline me to rescind those orders in the near future." I'll deal with the pain on my own, thank you very much. You can keep *all* your drugs to yourself." She then looked at Marsh and then Sasha and back to Marsh. "Would someone *please* tell me what the hell is going on? Where are we and how did we get here?" Josh merely looked at the woman on the bed and shook her head. "No, Sasha does not stay. You will speak to the Councillor privately at first. Once he has spoken to you privately then you may request anyone you wish to be with you for the rest of the conversation and Sasha may then return, if the Councellor decides that your mental state will handle it. As for any treatment I planned to give you, you may indeed refuse any such treatment, that is your choice. However please note that a refusal of such treatment will only keep you in Sickbay for that much longer." Oggie had blinked quite a few times, then sighed. He suppressed the urge to explain the Colonel's behaviour away as there was just time for firefighting right now. He felt the eyes of the TAC/SC on him. "We're on the USS Kitty Hawk." Stolev said. "It's a temporary ship for our use while the Boudicca is undergoing repairs. We had quite a battle with a Doenitz ship and a Ferengi while you were gone. Anyway, we received your distress call, and were given this ship to mount a rescue." Oggie shot him a quick glance then shook his head when he did so, he noticed how Josh wabed her hand at him to stop. "Thank you Sir, but perhaps the Councellor and I should decide on what the Colonel needs to know at present if you don't mind." "I don't think I would have wanted to go as far as that, Commander." Oggie went on from there. "But the main thing is *We* are here, and that is because your crew members brought you here. You were rescued. Now one of the people who rescued you is lying in the little hall opposite this room fighting for his very life, dying because of you. Now shut up and lay back. If not for anything than so that he can die in peace. As for you, you are in a medical facility and Ensign Caskie is in charge of you and your healing. There is really no need for this childish behaviour, Colonel, so I suggest you can it." Oggie turned round. "Doctor, I think it is best that you leave. And please take Stolev with you, I'll call him and you when we have quieted down a bit. Obviously it has all been a bit too much for her." Opening the door to the main Sickbay Josh looked pointedly at the door and back at Sasha again. Her meaning obvious. Oggie then turned back to the marine. "There is no need for foul language, Colonel, and if you had been yourself, you'd probably be the first one to say so. Or perhaps not, I only had your psychogram to study so far and that hadn't been constructed by myself so there is room for interpretational differences. But the point is, you are not going to get better by ranting and shouting. So, relax please. By the way, we have answered your questions, now be kind enough to answer ours in return. Are you dizzy? Did you have bad dreams? What can you remember?" She hoped that during his time away from them he might have done some thinking, but knowing John as she did, she realised that he might just as likely have dismissed them all from his mind. She had told Inez that they would be seeing Daddy soon, but regretted it before long, as Inez was constantly asking, "Daddy here now?", and even Winston the Pelluvian Howler kept giving her a soulful look every now and again. The sound of the doorchime surprised her, surely John would just come right in? After all these were his quarters too. "DADDY!" Inez shouted happily. Winston, who had glanced at the door, just sighed and looked back down at the letter-blocks Inez had been playing with. He pushed a few of them around with his paw, moving them into a rough row. "I don't think it's Daddy, Inez," Francesca said. "Come in!" A young woman entered and Francesca recognised her as Yeoman Stakes. The Commander's daughter, or so Mei Ling had told Francesca when she had pointed out the newcomer to her in Ten Forward a few days back. Francesca had no reason to doubt it; Mei Ling had a way of hearing all the scuttlebutt on the ship and sorting out the wheat from the chaff. "Ms dela Rosa? Commander Stakes would like to see you immediately in the FO's office." Francesca stared at her, a feeling of foreboding clutching at her heart. "M-me? Now? But I can't - there's Inez and -" "I can look after your daughter and your...." Esme looked at Winston, wondering what kind of creature it was. Nothing she had seen before, certainly. "... pet, until you get back." "But why does he want to see me? And why now?" "I'm sorry, I don't know. He just asked me to find you and take you there." Francesca swallowed. "There's no need to escort me," she said quietly. "I know where it is." She crouched down next to Inez. "I have to go out for a little while but Yeoman Stakes will look after you till I get back. You be a good girl, you hear?" Inez nodded. "See Daddy soon," she stated. "Perhaps," Francesca said. "I'll be as quick as I can," she added, then turned and left the room in a hurry. Esme knelt down on the floor beside the child and the... whatever it was. "You can call me Esme," she said. "What's your pet's name?" "Win'ton. He's a poo-vee." "That's a nice name," Esme said. Curiously, she watched Winston carefully place a fourth block next to the three it had already lined up. Then she blinked in surprise and took a closer look. It had to be coincidence, she knew, but the four letters spelled a word. ~C - O - L - D~ Involuntarily she shivered without really knowing why. (USS Boudicca - FO's Office - FO, Commander Archibald Stakes and Civilian Francesca dela Rosa - 1915) Francesca sounded the doorchime and waited for the invitation to enter before doing so. "You wanted to see me, Commander?" she asked, her voice a little shaky. In the few minutes it had taken her to get from her quarters to here, a multitude of possibilities for the summons had gone through her mind, few of them good. Archibald bore a genuine smile as he sat behind the desk waiting for the civilian to arrive. "Thank you for being so prompt, Mrs dela Rosa. Please take a seat." Francesca did so, sitting in the chair on the opposite side of the desk to the Commander. "Thank you," she said automatically. She was puzzled now, he was smiling. ~Which should,~ she thought, ~mean that it's not bad news. So why does he want to see me all of a sudden?~ Archibald nodded friendly, still unsure, as always in situations like this, how to proceed. "I'm afraid I have some bad news for you. Not the worst, mind you. Only umm... bad. John won't be joining us on the Boudicca. He's currently in a stable position in the medical facilities on board the Kitty Hawk and he will return to Geneva for further medical treatment. His current condition is stable but critical - which was just critical half a day ago. He's apparently suffering from third degree freezer burns all over his body and a prolonged lack of oxygen. Like I said, he's stable now. But not stable enough to warrant a transfer to the Boudicca medical facilities. I am still unclear as to how he sustained those injuries but I understand that it was due to his involvement in a classified mission. If you wish I can arrange quarters for you, your daughter and... Winston? quite close to the Sickbay. I'm sorry that I have to be the bearer of such bad news but I thought it better to tell you directly in person, rather than let the gossip-mongers spin their half-true stories about him." Francesca stared blankly at Commander Stakes in silence for a long moment before she found her voice. She swallowed hard a couple of times and then spoke. "He - is he going to be alright?" she asked haltingly, still stunned by what she had heard. In the Academy they'd been told of the dangers of being in the vacuum of space without a suit - the immense cold, the lack of oxygen, the brain damage that frequently resulted, even if they were revived. This all sounded horribly similar. "Has he - is he conscious?" "From what I understand he has regained consciousness a few times but has been kept under sedation for most of the time to aid his recovery process," Archibald said. "But overall, although I am not a medical officer of course, I think he stands a good chance of making a recovery. His chances are better now than they would have been twenty years ago. And they are fighters, our doctors, not quitters. They will not let go of someone that easily." Francesca nodded mechanically. "I want to see him," she said. "Can I go and see him now? Oh but what about Inez, and Winston? And I have to pack everything up, I must make sure everything in his study gets to the Kitty Hawk safely. He'll be very cross if anything gets lost or damaged..." her voice dried up suddenly and tears began to fall from her eyes. She wiped them away with her hands, which were shaking. "I'm sorry," she said in a small voice. "It's just the shock, you see? I just want to see him," she added quietly. "But there's so much else to be done to move us all over there... I - I'm not sure what to do." Archibald sighed. "Of course I understand. Don't worry, go over to the Kitty Hawk immediately. I will have Esme take care of your little one and I will make sure that all your possessions are brought on board the Kitty Hawk. And Esme will follow with Inez and Winston as soon as you are ready. And please don't think that you will be imposing upon us. We will do it gladly. We'll take care of everything here." "Oh thank you!" Francesca exclaimed gratefully. "I'll go right now." She stood up and blinked rapidly a couple of times to clear her eyes of the tears. "Thank you, Commander Stakes. It was very thoughtful of you to tell me personally. I - you're very kind! Very kind indeed!" "Not at all, Mrs dela Rosa. It was the least I could do. I'll arrange for Transporter Room 1 to be ready to send you over as soon as you get there. And don't worry about anything else, we'll take care of it. You can contact Esmerelda directly once you are ready for Inez to come over." "Thank you," Francesca said again, and left the office as fast as she could. Archibald licked his lips and sighed before tapping his commbadge. "Stakes to Goran. I've got an urgent assignment for you and a few more that go to the Kitty Hawk." (reply any, none) (Posted by Adrie Geuken and Liz) (USS Boudicca - Personal Quarters- CEO- Lt. He hadn't really been needed on the Kitty Hawk, as their journey back to the fleet was largely uneventful, but now that they were back on the Boudicca, he felt that he needed to resume his normal duties as much as possible, however much he'd prefer to remain with Eva. He walked over towards the tactical station, but then a glance at the command well revealed an unfamiliar face. Stolev turned and took a closer look; the man had commander's pips and was sitting in the Captain's chair, and Rivers and Sevant were nowhere to be seen. Instead of continuing on to his station, he stepped down into the center of the bridge and stood before the newcomer. "Good evening, commander," he said, nodding politely. "I don't believe we've met. Everyone was gathered, some in various states of disrepair. Several of the new officers, including Stakes, were being given fish-eyes by the rest of the Senior Staff, since almost all of them had come aboard the Kitty Hawk. He placed his PADD on the table and looked up, then did a double-take. He hadn't gotten a chance to look over the Crew manifest for those who had come aboard, not in the thirty free minutes he'd had since he'd beamed over from the Kitty Hawk. He crossed his arms behind him as he looked at the big fuzzy bear, Commander Zzt, which he hadn't seen since he was temporary commander of the Nimitz. Sevant gathered himself and looked around, "I call this meeting to order." He said as he took a seat. "Our first order of business: Commander Rivers is now Captain Rivers, she will be transferring to the Kitty Hawk and conning her back, she is now the Commanding Officer of the USS Champlain. Commander Stakes shall become my new XO, by order of Starfleet Command." He gestured to the Commander. (reply: if desired) The Captain crossed his hands together, "We will do emergency repairs on the Kitty Hawk before she departs, and I suspect this will take several days. Those so ordered will begin their beam-out to the Kitty Hawk at 0800 hours tomorrow." He took a breath, "Mr. Drizzt and Mr. Caskie have been assigned to the Champlain as well. Mr. Drizzt, you will select a Demi-company to take with you, that demi-company will be on temporary detached leave to provide security for the Champlain. Our extended mission orders make it possible to redistribute our force to other more needy duty-stations, if only for a while." "Now, we have other new faces among us besides Commander Stakes. Introduce yourselves and your duty station, briefly." Sevant said as he sat back in his chair. (reply: Anybody new, with room for conversation) Once the introductions were complete, Sevant leaned forward again. "I realize we've only been on board for a short time, but you've all had time to at least check in. What's our intermediate Status?" (reply: all!) (posted by Trout) (USS Boudicca - Observation Lounge - Drizzt - 2101) Drizzt had sent friends to die for long before the War, and he'd done so willingly. So when the word came down that Susan, the mother of his child, was leaving... he managed to keep his face from so much as twitching. But in many respects, it was as difficult as watching fifteen good men and women die. So it came as a great surprise when Sevant looked at him and said, "Mr. Drizzt and Mr. Caskie have been assigned to the Champlain as well. Mr. Drizzt, you will select a Demi-company to take with you, that demi-company will be on temporary detached leave to provide security for the Champlain. Our extended mission orders make it possible to redistribute our force to other more needy duty-stations, if only for a while." He blinked, and threw a glance to Colonel Straton, then at Commander... Captain... Rivers. His antenna twitched slightly, and he was suddenly pulled between feeling giddy that he was not going to be separated from her after all, and feeling the pull of duty to the men and women he'd commanded with Straton over the last year. But then, he still would, that was the beauty of it. Leonal sat back in his chair and said nothing as several of the new crew introduced themselves. There were many, they had lots of holes to fill... that was the reality of war. He didn't have to open his shields far to notice that his wife was sound asleep, and that a bit of movement wouldn't disturb her. He pulled off his uniform top and dropped it to the floor beside a small rocker chair in the bedroom, and slipped quietly into the well-used piece of furniture. He would often find himself here, meditating or simply listening to the sounds of the ship while he worked out his problems. Tonight, he didn't want to think. He simply wanted to observe. His wife was wrapped up in the covers of the bed, her face free from the duties and worries that filled her during the day; a slice of what he himself was feeling being in command of a battleship, Commodore of a Battle group, during a war. He let his body settle into the chair, let the aches he'd built in the last week slack just a bit as the chair warmed to his touch. The wounds he'd taken on the bridge less then a week ago were healed; just the echo of the pain was left. He carried within him, many such echoes, and they were as familiar to him now as his dreams had been... once. Victoria turned her head and snorted, as if something had landed across her nose. Caladryll folded his fingers together and leaned his head to the side, just watching, as he considered the events of the day and worked out plans that would carry them through the next few weeks. He had orders to cut, but he had time to do them later. He had strategy to plan, but not for any battle in the next few hours, his tactics could wait until morning. Sevant closed his eyes after an indeterminate amount of time. Slowly, ever so slowly, he forced all conscious thought out and meditated on an abyss, willing his mind to silence. He had long ago destroyed the quiet place in his mind, he'd never been able to find it again... he would someday, however. If he kept trying, someday, he'd find that place again. His eyes opened again when he felt more then slumber through his connection to Victoria. She had stirred slightly, and was just starting to wake. She was still in the twilight region, that quiet place just outside of dreams where reality became fantasy. His lips pulled back in a ghost of a smile, and he quietly stood and ever-so-gently crawled onto the bed. From there, he wrapped an arm around her until she drifted fully back into sleep. ... and there he stayed, never quite asleep himself, but resting none-the-less (reply: any, none) (posted by Trout) NRPG: Montage of Sevant's adventures in funny clothes. It's nice to know that the captain will go through any lengths, even get into a skirt or kilt to get the job done. Yay, Cal!
