================================================================ Mission: Into the Unknown, Day 2 Stardate: 2406.11.16 (USS Dennison - Readyroom - CSO - Lieutenant Jewort Trewe - 1712) Jewort had taken to using the Captain's readyroom on a fairly regular basis when he had to contact Admiral Lee. The ship had been one of Lee's pet projects and was also being monitored closely by Lodonna. Trewe tapped a key on the communications desk. "Lieutenant Trewe to Admiral Lee. The ship is more or less ready, its been tested and retested. We can launch, we just need a crew. We really need a crew actually," said Trewe blandly. (Reply Lee) "This group of engineering monkeys are doing their best to wreck this thing before we get started. Its not your typical starship, you know that. Today one of them drained energy from the maglocks holding the ship together to run a diagnostic. We need an operations officer to make sure that energy remains constant. I know you had to yank all the chief engineers and other scientific people off the project because of the... conflict, but... this is ridiculous," Jewort paused for a second before adding, "Sir." After all his years in Starfleet he still thought of himself more as a scientist than an officer. Because if I remember right, I DO have a medical degree, and I am the one most experienced with Sasine's mind. You came barging in here like you knew everything about him whilst never meeting him. I remind you that I have over 300 years more of medical knowledge then you do. I would appreciate it if you did not try to insult me again." Trace took in a breath. "Did you know, Admiral, that John here has no mental barriers? So when you came in here pissed off, he knew it. Better than I did. He probably felt you from a few light years away. He-" John Spoke up. "Actually... I knew as soon as you found out, admiral. You have quite a temper." Trace looked up to the Admiral, staring him down. Gr'iann considered the counselor for a moment. He knew that he'd come on a bit strong, but he hated being in the dark about something that he'd given explicit instrustions to. Also, this Betazoid should know better than to perform such a procedure without any medical back up. It's not like he was a Vulcan and they were performing some kind of mind meld. He actually manipulate another beings alha waves. The potential for disaster was to great. He took a deep breath, and his ears twitched. "Clearr the rroomm," he ordered, and all of the medical staff disappeared as if transporters had whisked them all away. "Firrst, let mme starrt with this," Gr'iann began. Part of her thought the argument was amusing and she wanted to chuckle, but the other better half of her said it was rather annoying that the CMO had troubles following protocol when asked. Watching as Dr. Gr'iann came up to Sasine, she listened as his anger somewhat subsided now that he was talking to someone else. His orders were fairly clear, he didn't want Sasine up from bed rest until he cleared him himself. "Howeverr, you Captain Davis, arre frree to go, beforre you and yourr counselorr curre the Pentaxian plague. The rest of yourr crrew is stirring, and they mmight like a visit frromm their CO." "Commander Lee to Captain Davis. Might I enquire as to your location?" "I'm in my ready room, deck 1 of coarse," she said with a twinge of humor in her voice. It usually wasn't like her to be this laid back knowing the past events. But something in her was pushing those events deeper into her mind as she let all the bustle and clutter tear her away from the past, pushing it deeper away inside her. <> "Understood, Davis out," she said, in closing the channel. Not knowing what Lee wanted to discuss, she sat back and awaited his arrival. (Reply: Lee, any) (Posted by: Stacey) =========================================================================== Mission: A New Beginning, Day 1 Stardate: 2407.01.17 (USS Steel Talons-Admiral's Office-Admiral Robert LoDona & Captain Madison Davis-08:00) It had been two months, and Madison was going crazy. To her knowledge, the science department had made every effort and simulation attempt at trying to get them back into their own timeline, and efforts were failing. Knowing Starfleet never gave up easily, she put her faith in them that they would be able to find a way, if only a small possibly avenue to explore. Between trying to get back to her 'home' and keeping her crew's moral high, it was even starting to take a toll on her. ~This must be how the crew on the Voyager felt,~ she thought, as she stood at attention in the Admiral's office. Her and her crew had been transferred to the Steel Talons after being on the Night's Watch recovering. It had taken them two months, but at least they finally got someone in here for her to talk to about her current predicament. "Captain." Robert said as he leaned back in his chair and rubbed his borg implants. "Take a seat." Eyeing the chair next to where she stood, she walked to the front of it and sat down as suggested. Robert considered the Captain for a few moments, he had talked with her often in debriefing since her ship arrived in his universe, and she was well aware of the situation which this universe was in. It didn't seem like much of a shock to her, or so Robert thought. Then again, the universe she had come from was in infinitely worse shape then his own. "You might have heard, Captain, that our scientists released their final statement." He paused, he hated giving bad news. "Until we get access to the great labs of Utopia Planitia or Earth or Vulcan, we won't be able to figure out a way to get you back home." Taking in a deep breath, Madison had in fact already heard the news...but it was more hearsay than official say. Hearing it for the first time from the admiral....well...it was a bit disconcerting. Everyone she knew and loved...all her friends, family....they were all gone. All she had was her crew, and all they had was her. Swallowing, she opened her mouth and asked, "So what's the next step for us then?" “That is partially dependant on you.” He said quietly. “Do you want to serve in a war not of your making?” Madison considered his words, and noticed how carefully he chose to put the topic. ~A war not of my making...not as if I have anything better to do.~ Her thoughts were starting to vere away from that of positive and command style thought, and she knew it. But could anyone blame her after what they'd all been through? "As part of Starfleet, sir, I think I still have an obligation and a duty to fulfill. So yes....I will do whatever it takes." Obligation, duty...those words ringing in her head, she was starting to think positively again, if only once more. LoDona pushed a PADD across the table. “Then this is your next step.” Nodding her head, she understood what he was saying and was glad that he gave her and her crew the consideration she thought they needed. For awhile she wasn't even sure they would be able to stay in Starfleet with the technological advances they were aware of. ~Temporal prime directive....blah blah blah....~ Of coarse, everyone knew of the temporal prime directive, so it was pointless that she not be allowed to serve in Starfleet because of the universe from which she came. It wasn't like she was underqualified. “A Captured warship, Captain, and one of the few that would come the closest to your expectations.” He said while steepling his fingers. “She was captured just after you arrived, we just finishing repairing her.” Raising an eyebrow, she was impressed at how the Admiral seemed to be dealing with her. She wasn't complaining, that much was for certain. In fact, she was finally beginning to see the flip side of the coin since they had been there. "A captured warship? Then you do know my style of command it would seem," she replied, her lips starting to curve into a grin. But just as quick as her grin appeard, it also disappeared when she asked, "What about crew? As you know, I lost the majority of my own." It hurt for her to speak of her lost crew members in that way....as nothing more than crew that fulfilled their duties aboard her ship. She knew they had a memorial service for those who were lost already, but that still didn't take out the emptiness in her she felt for them. “You will be taking several of your own. I will be picking through the fleet to find other qualified officers. You will have to run with a small staff, the entire fleet is under-staffed.” He took a breath, “I will also be sending along a Commander Lee. He’s also been tossed into this universe, he will help you and yours integrate into our command staff, by serving as my Laison.” She looked at the PADD he then handed to her, with a list of people awaiting assignment. Scanning through the PADD briefly, she saw a few names...Trewe, Marlous, Gr'iann.... She hoped this new beginning of hers would prove a success. Looking back up at the Admiral, she then asked, "So when will this transfer take place?" Robert stood. “Immediately, Captain. Meet up with Commander Lee, he will give you further details.” (Reply: None) (Posted by: Stacey & Trout) ================================================================= Mission: A New Beginning Day 1 Stardate 2407.01.17 (Spacedock Pheonix- Admiral Gr'iann's Office- CMO- Admiral Gr'iann-1000) Gr'iann sat behind his desk and considered Robert LoDona with a rare, serious look. Robert was a great deal more serious. The prospect of keeping the crew of the Relentless together was important to him. They had, however, moany serious problems, some of them medical, that he just was uncomfortable with. They all made Robert's last statements even more sensible. =^=If you're so uncomfortable with the situation, Admiral, why don't you watch over them as their CMO.=^= The question that was running through the Caitian's head though, was, was he prepared for such an assignment. There were many competent doctors on his staff that would serve them well as CMO. but this crew had already been through so much. And the obvious lack of discipline had already caused a small rift between them and where they were now. Captain Davis had agreed to join them, and Robert was bound and determined to make them fit into their current time line. Not for the first time, he wondered how much of their fore knowledge would affect decisions that they made, and how badly would it screw up their own timeline. Time travel, the whole concept made Gr'iann's fur hurt. "You know Admmirral," he finally said, "you arre absolutely corrrect. Considerr it done. I will have mmy assistant fill in forr mme on geneva, and I will be the the cheif mmedical officerr on the Dennison." LoDona looked stunned. Gr'iann figured that he had never expected the Caitian to take him up on the offer. But there was little for him to do about it now. Finally he nodded. =^=Be careful out there my friend.=^= "Acknowleded," Gr'iann replied. "You too." The screen went blank and Gr'iann went to work on the arrangements. (USS Dennison- Sickbay- CMO- Admiral Gr'iann-1400) Gr'iann stepped through the doors to the sickbay. He half smiled as he remembered how he arrived at Geneva, and main medical seemed to be in a similar condition. There were unopened boxes laying around. Biobeds were still wrapped in their plastic transport bags. And the smell of brand new equipment was prevelent in the air. Gr'iann could feel the surge of excitement and ownership, already coursing through his veins. This was his sickbay now, and it was time to turn it into something that he'd be proud of. Dropping his bags in the CMO's office he began to pull of the plastic and open boxes. They wren't really expecting any staff until the following day so he figured he'd get a head start so that nurses and technicians would have an idea of what he was looking for. As he stepped through the medical area there was a beep and the EMH appeared. "Please state the nature of the medical emergency." Gr'iann growled in surprised, and his ears quivered. "Holy grransmmer, you scarred a yearr off mme." "I'm sorry," the EMH stated, "but I was programmed to come on when anyone enters the treatment area." "I see," Gr'iann said, looking the EMH up and down. "Well, I suppose you'rre the lateset in EMH technology. At least you arre betterr looking." "Thank you... I think," the EMH replied. "If there is no medical issue then I suppose I will close my program." "Not so fast," Gr'iann suddenly said. "You can help mme clean this mmess up." "Excuse me!?" the EMH said indignantly. "I am the amalgam of all the most current medical knowledge in the universe. I have skills that would put almost an doctor to shame, and you want me to be a pack mule and and a maid." Gr'iann looked at the EMH with a smile and simply said, "That's corrrect. Get to worrk." With a sigh the EMH began to rip open boxes. Gr'iann smiled and got back to work himself. Jewort was considering this when his comm badge chirped. =^=Gr'iann to engineering and science, is anyone therrre? "I'll take this one," he said gruffly and left the department, heading for the turbolift. Jewort wondered what had gone wrong. He had heard of Admiral Gr'iann, just about everyone had. In fact, it was likely that Gr'iann was one of the few people in Starfleet who had been serving as long as he had. There was some part of him that wanted to meet Gr'iann to be sure... and complain about all the youngsters. (USS Dennison - Sickbay - CSO - Lieutenant Jewort Trewe - 1433) Jewort walked into the Sickbay and looked around. He saw a number of boxes and other equipment lying around. Activating the screen, she then said, "Computer, record message and send to all Dennison crew when finished." Hearing the beeping of the computer, she then started her message, talking to the walls. "To all crew, this is your soon to be Captain, Madison Davis. There will be a short and brief ceremony tomorrow in shuttlebay 1 at 10:00 hours for the handing over of the ship. I hope to meet you all and greet some new faces. Don't be late." She then said, "Computer, end message and carry out instructions." Once again with the beeping and the final confirmation of the computer, she knew they had all recieved it. <> Mission: A New Beginning, Day 2 Stardate: 2407.01.18 (USS Dennison-CO's Ready Room-CO Madison Davis-09:32) ~This will take some time getting used to,~ thought Madison as she walked slowly through what was now going to be her ready room. Or rather, her new ready room. ~New ship for that matter.~ Walking around the desk, she let her fingers trail the border of it, getting a feel for having to get used to this specific place. Everything was just so different....yet it wasn't. She then took a seat in the chair and looked at the blank screen on her computer. So much about this new ship reminded her of the Relentless and her family, yet so much was so new. Standing up, she decided this was not the time to reflect on her feelings of the past. Walking from out behind the desk, she straightened her uniform up and glanced at the chronometer. 09:36. With only twenty minutes left until the official 'ship-handover' Madison decided to familiarize herself more so with the ship. (USS Dennison-Corridor, Deck 9-CO Madison Davis-09:46) As she was on her way to the shuttlebay, she passed a wide variety of new faces she had yet to meet. She hadn't quite realized the new experience this would be for her. She started out coming up within the ranks on her old ship the Relentless, so she already knew her crew and was more comfortable commanding them. However, this was almost half a new crew. That meant to some she had to prove she was fit to be in command, and to others who knew her well...that was a different story entirely. "Ma'am," a crewman nodded towards her. "Crewman," she responded with a nod back. Going towards the turbolift once more, she waited until the doors parted and said, "Shuttlebay 1." (USS Dennison-Shuttlebay 1-CO Madison Davis-09:53) Arriving a few minutes ahead of schedule, she could already see the space within the shuttlebay filling with the crew that was to staff her ship. A lot of familiar faces glanced her way and she gave them a familiar glance back. Another group gave her straight forward 'Starfleet issue' nods, and she did the same back to them as well. It was obvious this would take some getting used to as the crowd was obviously divided. Looking into the crowd, the right half was her old crew and the left half her new. Not intermixing much, at least she knew where to focus her sights on. Finally, she came upon Lt. Cmdr. T'Jarek, whom she had spoken to about arranging the time and place for the naming of the ship's captain. Since she'd last spoken to Commander Lee, he had brought her up to speed on what was going on in their universe, now her's too. Everything combined, she was ready to get this rolling. Nodding towards him, she stood next to him, though not quite sure of what to say off hand. Assuming her 'Starfleet posture', she awaited for the ceremony to start and end as she watched Lt. Cmdr. T'Jarek take the stand. The Vulcan Marine nodded his head briefly and waved off the two other crewman that had accompanied them. Ever since that Assassin had come raging through Geneva after most of her command crew had been transferred, the Captain now in charge had ordered all senior officers to be escorted at all times. At least until the bugger was caught. Though he was a visitor, Richard was still one of LoDona's special aides... a trouble-shooter. He warranted an escort. T'Vanek, the only member of the crew Richard remembered from his brief tour-of-duty on Geneva so long ago, stayed with him as Richard stepped onto the transporter pad. "USS Dennison." The Chief nodded and quietly contacted the Dennison's chief as T'Vanek raised a hand in a Vulcan salute. "Peace and long life." Rich aped the gesture as best he could with a small smile. "Live long and prosper." (USS Dennison - Transporter Room 1 - Command Liaison Cmdr Richard Ian Lee - 0758) He took a deep breath once the transport was complete. The room smelled of oil, sweat, and other new smells which announced it had just come out of refit. Rich quietly shook his head as he put his arms behind him and stepped off the pad. At seven foot five, he dwarfed the five foot bosons-mate. The chief had to crane his neck to look at him, in fact. Rich looked down and said, "Commander Richard Ian Lee, Special Aide to Robert LoDona. Permission to come aboard?" The Boson checked a PADD, probably a list of expected visitors and crew, and gently touched a button. Rather then be irritated, Rich nodded. He'd been a security officer for years, many of them as Chief, one could never be to careful. Especially in a time of war. The Chief stuck out the PADD, it had a small fingertip reader on it. It didn’t take rocket science to figure out what to do. Rich touched his thumb to the PADD and said, "Computer, confirm my identify. Lee, Richard Ian... authorization code zeta one seven niner." [Identity Confirmed] The Boson snapped to attention immediately, "Commander Lee, permission to come aboard granted." "Thank you Chief." He said as he crossed his arms behind him again and stepped beyond the doors. He paused just outside and looked around. Though he was a structural engineer, he'd never actually stepped foot on this class of ship before. It was always fun trying to navigate by memory of plans alone. We'll have to keep on our toes for awhile until they get used to our command style." Then her chief counselor, Trace Allel, chipped in. "And you are both right about the familiarity. Almost the entire Relentless crew is reminded of her here on this ship. Its Eerie." Raising her eyebrows then putting them back down, Madison said, "Everyone will just have to sit comfortable and get used to one another. Hopefully things can be the way they used to be." ~Though I doubt that,~ Madison thought remembering the old times. As John and Trace both began talking to each other about kissing up to Gr'iann, Madison inadvertantly cleared her throat in a command style way that both Sasine and Allel knew. Stopping the chatter, they both gave a head nod, then moved back to their previous location. That's when Gr'iann approached her, Madison's new chief medical officer. "Captain Davis," Gr'iann said upon greeting her. "congrratualations on this new, and wonderrful ship. May she fly as peacefully as possible in these trroubled timmes." Greeting him back, Madison replied with, "Thank you Doctor. I am very greatful to have such an experienced physician onboard. I look forward to working with you....after this ceremony," she added, as Gr'iann smiled and stepped to her side, awaiting the official beginnings of it all. (Reply: Any, none) (Posted by: Stacey) ========================================================================== Mission: A New Beginning Day 2 Stardate 2407.01.18 (USS Dennison- Sickbay- CMO- Admiral Gr'iann-0957) Gr'iann stepped into the shuttlebay and looked around. It was a marvel to see so many in attendance, but then again, this was quite a moment. He'd be hard pressed to say that this was the most unusual ceremony, but it was under the most unusual circumstances. He hadn't necessarily agreed with robert LoDona that this crew should be left unseupervised in a timestream not of their own making. His solution, stay on board and watch. What else could he do? The Caitian straightened his uniform and found a hair on the shoulder that he deftly removed with his claws. Satisfied that he looked appropriately he stepped over to the command line and greeted the other officers. He was certain there was an amount of distrust from them about him. what would an admiral be doing, serving under a captain? However, his position of CMO is very warrented, and considering they were in need, it would be a logical decission. He nodded at the CEO who had, seemingly, decided not to join the senior staff for the dedication. Then he passed the CSO, Lt. Jewort Trewe, and smiled. The older man was definitely set in his ways, but he had a terrific record. Next he passed the ocunselor, Lt. Allel. He stopped for a moment. "Counselorr," he purred, "let's hope for a long and mmutually beneficial rrelationship." He held out his paw, in an effort to perform the Caitian sign for trust and respect. (reply Allel) Then he stepped up to the FO. "Lt. Commmanderr, I'mm glad to see you up and about. I would, howeverr, like to see you in sickbay after this cerremmony." (reply Sasine) Finally, he stepped over to the CO. He hadn't really had much time to get to know Captain Davis, but he did have a reliable sense of people, and he felt that this one was a good one. He looked forward to the time they would spend together. "Captain Davis," he said with a genuine smile, that was often described as if he planned to eat you, "congrratualations on this new, and wonderrfulship. My she fly as peacefully as possible in these trroubled timmes." (reply Davis) Gr'iann stepped to the other side of the captain and waited for the the official ceremony to get under way. He held out his paw, in an effort to perform the Caitian sign for trust and respect. Trace smiled slightly. "I think It will work our, Admiral. I must apologize for the other day, and I also hope that we can get along." Trace smiled, the took Gri'anns Paw. He walked away. (USS Dennison- Shuttlebay- XO John Sasine-0959) John watched as Gri'aan addressed Trace. Trace didn't seem to be straining to get along with Gri'ann, so John was satisfied. He didn't think that they would have problems. Gri'ann approached Him. "Lt. Commmanderr, I'mm glad to see you up and about. I would, howeverr, like to see you in sickbay after this cerremmony." "I will, but I have one pressing matter before I can be there. Give me an hour or two." Griann nodded, and he walked off. John listened to the ceremony, then quickly set off on his mission. He went to main engineering. (USS Dennison- Main Engineering- XO John Sasine-1020) John quickly crossed main engineering, heading for Ryan's office. He stepped inside to have a glass shatter directly to his left. John jumped slightly, and looked over at Ryan. He was crying. He quickly walked up to him, and sat down in front of him. "Ryan, none of this was your fault. You need to cheer up." (Reply Ryan) "I know, but you have to realize that we are all having to deal with this. We all think about it, and its weighed heavily on our minds. I don't want you to focus on it anymore." (Reply Ryan) "The Hell with your old engineering. Think about the chance you have now. You've been sent BACK into the past. Take this chance. Learn as much as you can. Think about it. You may be the topmost Engineer of your time." (Reply Ryan) John inwardly sighed. "Work it out. Get over it. Until you do, your relieved of duty. And I want you to go see Trace." (Reply Ryan) "Fine by me if you want to cry in your office for a few days, but I'm not going to let it affect this ship." John turned around, and walked out of the room, heading for Sickbay. (USS Dennison- Sickbay- XO John Sasine-1030) John walked into Sickbay, and found the doctor. "Hello doctor, what do you need to do?" (Reply Gri'ann, Maines) (Written by Nate Bodenstadt) ========================================================================== Mission: A New Beginning, Day 2 Stardate: 2407.01.17 (USS Dennison, Shuttlebay 1, CEO Lt. Ryan Maines, 10:02) Ryan watched there by that crate in the shuttlebay as the rest of the senior staff and the new crew, including this admiral stood up there for a dedication. He didn't want to take part in dedicating a new ship. He still felt partially responsible for the destruction of the last one. Before the ceremony could begin in earnest he decided not to be a part of any pomp or circumstance and just left the shuttlebay. Moving throughout the ship Ryan had a lot of thinking to do. What had he done wrong? Where had he screwed up? It was his fault as Chief of Engineering that the Relentless had been destroyed. If it hadn't been for the rest of the crew's cool head under pressure, he likely would have gotten them all killed. "Some Chief Engineer you are Ryan, just a screw up. Dad always said you would be." Ryan said, grumbling to himself as he moved through the corridors, trying to find his way through the ship to Main Engineering. The ship was confusing, but one thing that didn't change about Starfleet was its design characteristics. Main Engineering might be in a new corridor or something, but it was still right about where it should be. <> Ryan sat behind the desk, looking over at the replicator and walked over to it. "Tennessee whiskey, on the rocks." He said and a glass of the liquor appeared. He picked it up and sipped it, drinking the alcohol and then growling, he threw the glass against the bulkhead of his office where it shattered with a resounding crash. He clenched his fist and fought back bitter tears... The two had spoken on several occasions. "Can I help you sir?" He asked, his voice laced in bitterness. He quickly walked up to him, and sat down in front of him. "Ryan, none of this was your fault. You need to cheer up." Said Sasine. (old) "God damn you Sasine get the hell out of my head." He said resentfully. One thing he hated was when people read his mind. "It wasn't your fault that the Relentless blew up. It was mine damnit all. I killed those people. If it hadn't been for you and Commander Davis we'd all be space dust right now. I don't know about you SIR, but I lost a lot of good friends on that little ship." He said, the painful memories of the past coming back and making him shiver. "I know, but you have to realize that we are all having to deal with this. We all think about it, and its weighed heavily on our minds. I don't want you to focus on it anymore." John said. (old) "Oh so that's it? I'm ordered to just shut off my human emotions? I'm not some damned Vulcan that can just turn them off." Ryan said, his eyes narrowing. "The engineering on that ship that went wrong was MY fault damnit... it was MY---" Ryan said. "The Hell with your old engineering. Think about the chance you have now. You've been sent BACK into the past. Take this chance. Learn as much as you can. Think about it. You may be the topmost Engineer of your time." John interrupted, trying to console the distraught engineer. (old) "Even engineers in THIS time period didn't screw up so badly that it blew up their own ships John." Ryan said. He knew John was right. The knowledge of the years between now and where they had left made him one of the forefront of his field. John inwardly sighed. "Work it out. Get over it. Until you do, your relieved of duty. And I want you to go see Trace." Said Sasine. (old) Ryan couldn't believe his ears. He had never been relieved of duty for any reason. He hadn't even taken a leave of absence when his mother passed away to go to her funeral. He had just sent his father a subspace message offering his condolences and telling his dad that if he needed anything to get ahold of him aboard the Relentless. Now he didn't even have that. He didn't have his family or anything or anyone he cared about or loved. "Damnit John, you can't do that to me!" Ryan said, desperation making his voice shake. "Fine by me if you want to cry in your office for a few days, but I'm not going to let it affect this ship." John turned around, and walked out of the room, heading for Sickbay. (old) Ryan fumed as the Executive Officer left his ship. He grabbed the pips from his collar and threw them on his desk, drying his tears a bit as they welled up in his eyes and he walked out, grabbing a nearby Ensign. "Congratulations kid... you're the new Chief Engineer. Don't kill blow the ship to kingdom come." He said bitterly to the startled young woman. He walked away, needing to get away from everything. As he left Main Engineering to the main part of the ship, he tapped his communicator. =/\= Maines to Allel...=/\= He said. (Reply: Sasine, Allel, Any) (Posted by Paul Copenhagen) ================================================================== Mission: A New Beginning Day 2 Stardate 2407.01.18 (USS Dennison- Sickbay- CMO- Admiral Gr'iann-1031) Gr'iann looked up to see the FO walk into sickbay. He didn't look particularly pleased, but nobody ordered to sickbay usually did. However, this was a special situation, and he was pretty sure that Sasine knew what was about to unfold. It was interesting that most humanoids, especially Betazoids, in his experience, enjoyed a moment of ... small talk, before getting to the heart of the matter. But Sasine was all business. "Lt. Commmanderr," Gr'iann said, smiling. He genuinely liked the FO. He gave his all to his crew, however, he needed to take care of himself aswell, and that was the CMO's job. "I'mm glad you could mmake it so quickly. I was afrraid I'd need to have you sedated firrst. We need to talk. Please comme into mmy office." The CMO's office was much larger than he was used to. One could actuallly hold small meetings in it, which was jsut fine for the admiral. He offered a chair to Sassine and sat in the one beside his, rather than behind his desk. He reached over and tapped the computer channel on his desk. "Do not disturrb mmode." The computer beeped in acknlowledgement. Then he looked over at the FO. "I don't want to play gammes with you Lt. Commmanderr, so I will be dirrect. I amm concerrned about yourr condition. Up rreview of yourr serrvice rrecorrd I found severral anommolies. One being that is no mmention of yourr condition at all. The counselorr gave mme the immprression that this has been a prroblemm forr a while. When did it begin?" (reply Sasine) "If there was one thing that Counselorr Allel said that was trrue," Gr'iann said, "it was that I rreally didn not know you orr yourr condition. I need to rrectify that situation. So if you don't mmind, I need to know everrything that you can tell mme." (reply Sasine) (posted by Al Muir) ===========================================================================
