Compiler's Notes: Geneva Compile 20 - Street Date August 8th, 2005 Fixed Timestamp Errors. Please remember you can't have the same exact time has somebody your talking to. This became a serious problem has I had to change the timestamps for many posts. I would say trying to sort out the time stamps probably is a solid hour of the total compile time. Fixed Formatting Errors. Remember, indenting for a new paragraph might be correct English, but its not correct ST: Freedom format and isn't needed. Fixed Header Errors. It’s okay to copy and paste somebody else's header, just remember to change their name, position, place and time to your own. This may be nitpicking, but Starbases have Medical Centers, Ships have Sickbays. For example, Starbase Geneva has a Medical Center, the USS Montcalm has a Sickbay. We had lots of great posts this week. Let’s keep up the good work. All posts not in here will be included for next week. 91 pages of compile in total with 63 posts in total. "I'm not sure how her symbiant would react to our particular joining, or Ensign Rogers," stated Damok, "My first choice, given your criteria would be Rogers." Madon took his advice seriously, Marta was probably not a good choice. As a Detapa council member, Madon had access to a lot of secret information & she knew of the covert war that had been fought between the Trill & her own kind. To confront a Trill openly in her own symbiant form might prove most difficult. Rogers however, being lower ranking would certainly bean easier target, a fact shared by Bokat also. "Although Lt. Commander Mackenzie is of a higher rank she is not in the command line of the station", said Bokat in agreement. "I would suggest Rogers also. I had the same reaction at first but have changed my mind as we talked. Rogers is the obvious choice" "I agree", said Madon, "Rogers will be designated as our first contact, it will be an easy task to get into medical, one of us simply needs to feign illness", she added. "How to get him alone whilst there however may be another matter entirely", said Madon. "We must do everything we can to avoid raising suspicions as to the true nature of our mission", said Madon. "Glinn Bokat, how soon do you think you might be able to gain access to resources pertaining to groups that might hinder or help us whilst we are here", said Madon relaxing into the divan as she spoke. "I will begin this evening trying to find out the pertinent information." Bokat said strongly. "Much of it will be contained within the stations own databanks and should be relatively easy to access with my knowledge of such systems and how to bypass their security and alert protocols. I should be able to begin moving on that information tomorrow.", he added. "See to it as soon as you are able to do so without raising too many questions", said Madon as she turned to Damok. Damok paused as though in thought as he picked up the glass of Rokassa juice & drank it slowly, making a disgusted face as he did. "I suppose we can't expect them to supply live grubworms to us," he stated ironically. "We may have to find some way to supply our specific nutritional needs while here. That could be difficult in itself without raising suspicion," said Damok. Bokat shook his head. "At least not in the beginning, they will be suspicious of us early on especially and it is important not to provide clues of our true existence", he added. "After we have taken over the reins of power here we could easily have some sent to the station. In the meanwhile I would suggest using the replicators to provide us with some basic protein supplements that would insure our health. I could fabricate a separate device that would retain the necessary program and slave our replicators to receive its commands seperately from the ships computer so that our needs are hidden.", said Bokat. Madon however simply sipped at the juice almost appreciatively. "Whilst we are in these bodies, it is infinitely more suitable that we imbibe what is nutritious for their sustainment", she added. "By that I mean we put up with what we have & we get to used to it until we are in such a position to decide otherwise", she added. "Once we have the station, how we gain our nutrition will of course be our own choice as you say", said Madon looking to Glinn Bokat as she spoke. Damok obviously did not agree with that option at all as he sipped at the foul juice a second time, screwing his face up in response as he did so. (Posted by Alan Reading) (Starbase Geneva, Diplomatic Centre, FO, Glinn Bokat, 1445) Bokat turned from his CO as Council member Madon made her entrance into the room, their discussion on the behavior of the starbases engineer had been especially penetrating but Bokat was sure that the young humans reaction could easily be deflected by them if necessary as a bigotry toward Cardassians, it was certain the two empires had little cordial relations that would refute such a charge. "Well", said Madon after sitting down on the rooms couch, "I don’t know about the two of you but I found that all extremely distasteful. "Distasteful? Most certainly, but necessary," Damok replied to her comment. "Had we not gone through their strange ritual they would have known something was 'unusual'. A group of Cardassians would arise suspicion anyway on a Starbase, that helps us to some small extent in keeping our true nature hidden, but that would all be undone if we didn't at least 'try' to behave as our... hosts... would." "We need to approach one of the lower ranking officers first", she said after a pause , "someone who will have unquestioned access to other crewmembers. I rather thought that someone in medical would be an obvious starting point", she said with a questioning tone in her voice. "From medical we appear to have the choice of Mackenzie, a high ranking member of the staff or Lieutenant Marta, I'm not sure how her symbiot would react to our particular joining, or Ensign Rogers," stated Damok, "My first choice, given your criteria would be Rogers." "Although Lt. Commander Mackenzie is of a higher rank she is not in the command line of the station." Bokat said in agreement. "I would suggest Rogers also. I should be able to begin moving on that information tomorrow." "See to it as soon as you are able to do so without raising too many questions", Madon stated.. Bokat nodded in understanding. To raise alarms or give cause for suspicion so soon after their arrival could be catastrophic. He would be doubly careful now and triply so even after they had begun subverting the command team of the station., he would insure that there was no slipups to mar his name. "I will see to it that our progress so far is relayed to the homeworld", said Madon. Damok took a drink of the Cardassian beverage and made a disgusted face. "I suppose we can't expect them to supply live grubworms to us. We may have to find some way to supply our specific nutritional needs while here. That could be difficult in itself without raising suspicion," Bokat shook his head. "At least not in the beginning, they will be suspicious of us early on especially and it is important not to provide clues of our true existence. (Posted by Charles) (Starbase Geneva, FO's Office, Ensign SG McLaren, 1538) "I'm working on that as is Mr. Rogers. At least similar facets. Doctor Mackenzie is dealing with physical items regarding Cardassians and I asked you to deal with technology. I'm trying to cover all the bases by putting people who are strongest in those areas on them. Of course Klars and Chandler are supposed to be investigating the bomb blast earlier this afternoon. If you finish your technological study early and don't have other pressing engineering duties feel free to delve more fully into the backgrounds of the delegation." "Understood sir." Matthew said. "As for putting them in the brig," Paul chuckled, "I'm not sure as that would send the right diplomatic message. We'll figure it out though. You're not the only one to have a feeling. Supersonic peepers aren't always necessary for that." Matthew chuckled at that. "Interesting terminology," he said with a grin. "Thank you sir." Matthew said. "I just thought i should make my concerns known. He put down his coffee mug and soon after he was dismissed. (Posted by Matt) (Starbase Geneva, Security Center, ATAC/ASC Ensign Samantha Chandler, 1922) Sam walked over to her desk in the Security Center and sat down. She took a sip of coffee from the cup sitting on her desk. She typed in a few commands into the computer sitting on the desk. She brought up the scans and evidence that she and Ensign Klars had gathered from Deck 75. While she was looking over it, there was suddenly an explosion, or what sounded like an explosion. It was distant but it still shook the cup on her desk. The klaxon alarmed immediately sounded. ~Not again,~ she groaned inwardly. Sam pulled up a station readout on her computer and could see that there had been an explosion near crew quarters. Before she could do anything else, her combadge chirped. =^=Ensign Rogers to security, I'm sure the computer alerted you, but some sort of explosion device went off. Please come right away=^= Sam tapped her combadge, "This is Chandler, we were just alerted. I am on my way with a security team." (Reply Rogers, iyw) Sam got up and walked out of her office. She motioned to some security officers that were in the Security Center to follow her. They headed towards the turbolift. (Posted By Esther) (Starbase Geneva, Deck 75, Docking bay, ACEO Ensign SG Matthew McLaren, 1925) The deck plate clicked into place with a satisfying snap. Matthew stood and brushed himself off. He was helping out in the repairs of the docking bay where the bomb had went off earlier. He turned to one of his team but before he could speak a shudder passed through the room. ~No not again~ A few seconds later came the voice of Ensign Rogers. =^=Rogers to McLaren,=^= Matthew tapped his badge. "Matthew here, go ahead?" He replied "Lt. Casely's quarters were just bombed. We're going to need a repair crew to start work tomorrow, I know your working on the damage earlier in the day, and we have more than enough quarters to spare, but still, assign a repair team to it when you have time," Brian said. "Understood, we're just about finished here so I’ll head up." =^=Thank you... Matthew,=^= Brian replied and closed the channel. "Gees what's going on in this station." Matthew said out loud to no one in particular. Then he selected three of his engineers and they headed up to the other bomb blast (Posted by Matt) (Starbase Geneva, Personal Quarters, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 1928) Brian has asked Kaitlyn to come to dinner in his quarters at 19:00 hrs. Looking at the chronometer, she realized she was late, but with the guests on board and other things happening, she was sure he'd understand. Looking at herself in the mirror, she didn't dress fancy or dress down, but casual, as she was just hoping to enjoy a nice dinner with a friend. As she headed to exit her quarters, she got an emergency call. At first she rolled her eyes, thinking it might be something extremely stupid, such as a splinter. "Rogers to Sickbay, we have a medical emergency. There is a wounded crewmember. Sent a team right away!" Knowing the Admiral was currently busy, she knew there would be no one in sickbay other than nurses who run the night shift. Walking out of her quarters, she walked down the hall and turned the corner. Seeing the pair of doors that was nonexistent, Kaitlyn grabbed on to the door frame to steady herself as she walked through the debris that lie everywhere. "What's going on?!" It was rather obvious as to the situation, but nonetheless she still needed some sort of explanation for an idea to diagnose with. <> She realized there were also other crewmembers there such as Chandler and Klars. Looking across the room, she spotted a piece of clothing. "Throw me that shirt over there!" She wasn't speaking to anyone in general, but anyone who would listen to her for the moment. Getting the shirt in her hand, she pressed it to Casely's leg and tied it to prevent a bleedout any further. "If we don't get him to sickbay now he's going to bleed out faster than I can put back in him!" As she said that, the medical team rushed through the doors the best they could. Crunching the soot and debris under their feet, they got the portable biobed in place. As they lifted him upon the bed, Kaitlyn instructed the team to rush him to sickbay and she'd be right behind them. She watched as they left with Paul, then stood up. Brushing herself off, she realized she had blood all over her hands, and now, all over her clothes. Wiping the sweat from her forehead with her arm, she made sure to keep her hands away from her face. "I'll be in sickbay if anyone needs me," she said quietly. Then, before leaving, she turned to Rogers. "Can I talk to you for a second?" <> "I just wanted to remind you.....you're next in command. While I have Paul in sickbay, it'll be up to you to run the station." Noticing his reaction, she backed him up. <> "Lt. Casely is going to be fine. Right now he's just been through an operation and is going to require some time to rest." <> "Also..." she wasn't sure she should say it over the communicator, but did so anyways. "Could I see you in the medical center at your earliest convenience." <> "Mackenzie out." She felt the need to apologize for what she said in Casely's ....well....what were his quarters. She just wanted to make sure he didn't take it the wrong way. Stretching, she went to the replicator, ordered a cup of coffee and sat down to fill out a report on Casely's incident. (Posted by Stacey) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Center, COUNS/A3O, Ensign {SG} Brian Rogers, 2056) Brian walked in and walked over to where Lt. Casely was laying on the biobed. ~Hmmm, must have had a broken bone. Kaitlyn and her staff used the surgical laser cutter.~ Being around a medical center brought back memories of being at the Academy’s Medical Hospital. After looking at Lt. Casely's medical charts for himself, he went over to Kaitlyn's office, where she was covered in blood. At first it startled Brian, but he settled quickly. "Yes, doctor?" Brian asked. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Center, ACMO, Lt Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2059) Hot and sweaty, Kaitlyn was ready for yet another shower. She had managed to get most of the blood off her hands and arms, but still had some on her clothing. ~Good thing I didn't dress up for the prom.~ "Yes, doctor?" Brian asked. Startling her, she looked up, closed her eyes then opened them. "Sorry, you just startled me." She expected him to come down, but he had been quiet upon entering the medical center, so she was unaware of his presence. <> "Um...go ahead and have a seat." She wasn't sure how she was going to get this started, but she went ahead anyways. <> "I uh...just wanted to let you know that I wasn't trying to tell you how to do your job or anything." Clearly confused, she continued. "About earlier....you know?" <> "Um....also..." Pausing, she thought for a moment, then continued. "I know this isn't the best time. But....I'd still like to have that dinner," she said, smiling. <> Laughing a bit, she looked down at herself. Realizing she must look like an idiot in blood soaked clothing and no uniform on yet, she dismissed the idea so Rogers could get back to the bridge. "Alright. I'll let you know as soon as Paul comes around." <> She watched as Rogers started to leave, then went into a backroom off the edge of her office and got changed into an extra uniform she always kept there for emergencies. She deposited her old bloody clothes in the recycling bin, then headed out to check on Paul once more. (Posted by: Stacey) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Center, COUNS/A3O, Ensign {SG} Brian Rogers, 2102) "Sorry, you just startled me," "Oh, I'm sorry," "Um... go ahead and have a seat," she said. Brian nodded and sat down. "I uh... just wanted to let you know that I wasn't trying to tell you how to do your job or anything. About earlier... you know?" Brian smiled. "It’s okay Kaitlyn. I needed all the help I could get. Right now it’s been easy so far," "Um... also... I know this isn't the best time. But... I'd still like to have that dinner," she said with a smile. ~Oh boy, how could I turn that smile down,~ Brian though to himself. "Okay. We'll have to talk later about those plans," Brian said, standing up. "Alright. I'll let you know as soon has as Paul comes around." "Very good, Kaitlyn. I'll see you later," Brian said with a smile before he walked out. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Centre, FO/TAC/SC, Lieutenant {SG} Paul Casely, 2121) Paul felt his eyelids flutter open. He looked around and immediately apprised his surroundings. Despite a feeling of disconnect, it took him only a few seconds to piece together, more or less, what had happened. He looked and saw Doctor Mackenzie standing over him and tried to speak... and no words came out. His mouth moved, his eyes were open, but he could hear no verbalization. He knew his hearing was fine, he could hear the beeping of the bio-bed. Paul began thumping his hand on the biobed to get Doctor Mackenzie's attention. (Reply Mackenzie) Paul wanted to but could not reply. Something wasn't... working. Paul clenched his fist in frustration. Nothing was worse than not allowing yourself to be understood. What had happened to him? Where had that door hit him? What had it done? Paul was vaguely aware of the pain in his leg, he figured it had probably been broken. A broken bone he could deal with, but what was this? What was happening to him? (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Center, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2123) As one of the alarms started going off on Paul's biobed, Kaitlyn jumped up and went to him, and checked over the monitors. As she realized what it was, she shut off the alarm, then realized Paul woke up when she heard him thumping his hand on the side of the biobed. Bending down, she held his hand. "It's alright. It'll be hard to talk for awhile, but you're going to be alright. Can you understand me?" <> As he clenched her hand indicating he understood, she went on to tell him about his condition. "You're left leg was broken during the explosion. I had to reset it and it should heal in a few days, but you will need more rest." She paused, then continued. "Also, I still have to investigate why your speech centers aren't working properly. Right now it could just be a side effect of the medication in your system, but I will make sure." <> He only had limited ways to respond, so Kaitlyn set up her own little idea for the time being. "Ok, here's what we can do to make this easier......other than bringing in a telepath, " she joked. Growing more concerned, she said, "I want you to blink once for no and twice for yes. Other than that, I'll try and keep my own questions limited." <> She realized he must have been feeling extremely small and angry not being able to communicate by speech. ~This is going to be a long night.~ (Posted by: Stacey) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Centre, FO/TAC/SC, Lieutenant {SG} Paul Casely, 2125) Paul looked at Kaitlyn and then nodded that he clenched her hand that he understood her. This was pointless, it would take forever to get any kind of understanding. Then it dawned on him, ~I clenched her hand.~ "You're left leg was broken during the explosion. I had to reset it and it should heal in a few days, but you will need more rest." She paused, then continued. "Also, I still have to investigate why your speech centers aren't working properly. Right now it could just be a side effect of the medication in your system, but I will make sure." stated the doctor. Paul nodded and grimly smiled. He actually felt like breaking down and crying. It was frustrating to be laid up here, frustrating not to be doing what he knew best. Frustrating not to be heading the investigation into his own attempted murder. "Ok, here's what we can do to make this easier......other than bringing in a telepath, " she joked. Growing more concerned, she said, "I want you to blink once for no and twice for yes. Other than that, I'll try and keep my own questions limited." It didn't sound so good, but it could have been worse. Paul was more upset about the timing than anything else, but when is there a good time to almost be killed? As Kaitlyn finished Paul began gesturing madly as if he were holding a pen and writing something. If he had strength in his hand it would be more than possible for him to write. There were things he needed to impart to the crew, and quickly. He only hoped that the good doctor understood his pantomime and brought him something to write on and with. For now, he'd have to utilize her vocal chords. (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Center, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2126) As Paul lay there gesturing madly, Kaitlyn quickly went to grab anything she could find first that he would be able to communicate with. Spotting a PADD across the room, she went and grabbed it, then returned to Paul. "Here," she said as she handed it to him. She watched intently as he began pushing the buttons. <> As he handed it back to her, she read it to herself. "Rogers is in command now and he's taken control of the situation pretty well for the time being." <> As they kept passing the PADD back and forth, Kaitlyn answered him again. "Security is doing a full investigation of the bomb that went off in your quarters, and strict security measures have taken place." <> As he began typing on the PADD again, Kaitlyn used the biobed instruments to scan him once more, this time, focusing only on his brain. From what she could see, everything looked normal. ~So why can't he speak?!~ Looking at him, she could almost cry herself. She hated to see anyone lay here like this and not be able to communicate, and she understood the frustration to some point. "Yes....I promise I'll let you know the minute anything happens," she said, and squeezed his hand again. She tried to reassure him any way that she could. Looking back at the scans that were above his head, she realized that maybe there was something blocking or pinching a nerve. Nerves always had the tendency to hide themselves fairly well. "Computer, rotate image 35 degrees to the right." As the computer did so, she could see, but very faintly, that one of the nerves didn't look right. "Computer, magnify grid 5A." As the computer once again responded, she took in a breath. There it was, she had been right. The nerve to his speech center had been damaged from the fall, though he had no apparent head injury. Looking down, she could see the concern in Paul's eyes as he too wanted to know what was happening. Directing her attention to him, she said, "Well, I guess my assumption was right. It shows that you do have nerve damage that runs to the speech center of your brain, although I'm not sure how. You showed no apparent head injury after the fall." <> "Yes, I can fix the damage, but it will take some time." <> She watched as he sighed heavily, just wanting for all of this to be over with. (Posted by Stacey) (Starbase Geneva, Main Operations, OPS, Lieutenant {JG} Zadora Yalrath, 2127) Zadora looked out into the expanse. Things were relatively quiet, despite being on a war footing. She liked Rogers and figured he'd settle in just fine after awhile. Zadora figured that he'd also settle down now that he knew Lt. Casely was going to be okay. She sat back in the command chair a second, and sipped from the cup of coffee she had. Zadora sighed, for some reason life could never be simple on this station. Within an instant of that thought, a communication came through into main operations. =^=Starbase Geneva, this is the USS Montcalm, Commander T'Larr commanding. We are badly damaged and request permission to dock.=^= Zadora looked at the screen. The Intrepid class vessel had several scorch marks and seemed to be missing sections, "Computer, list status of USS Montcalm." [USS Montcalm, commanded by Captain Beurform, currently allied with Admiral Doenitz] Zadora whistled, this was a definite problem. They were injured and she wanted to help them, but on the other hand they were clearly a vessel pledged to the enemy. What did they do? Open fire? Help them? It seemed Beurform was dead, or at least incapacitated. Zadora was surprised that T'Larr, a Vulcan, hadn't sided with Ladonna, although she was sure he had a logical reason for not doing so. There was no way Zadora was tackling this one on her own. She tapped her comm badge. "Lieutenant Yalrath to Ensign Rogers, we have a problem up here... there is a ship waiting to dock," said Zadora. (Reply Rogers) "Well, you see sir, the problem is that the ship is pledged to Doenitz, but if we don't let them dock the entire crew is likely not going to survive. The ship is severely crippled. I really think you should get up here," replied Zadora with an edge of uncertainty in her voice. (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Centre, FO/TAC/SC, Lieutenant {SG} Paul Casely, 2128) Paul frantically typed into the PADD, "Please say aloud, 'Computer, list all known personnel on the station who are capable of building a device like the one that exploded in Lieutenant Casely's quarters." (Reply Mackenzie) RPG: [Allenby, Dale, Petty Officer 3rd Class Arianna, Lise, Captain Callaghan, Ian, Senior Chief Petty Officer Casely, Paul, Lieutenant Chandler, Samantha, Ensign Junior Grade Engtamn-Jensi, Lieutenant Junior Grade Klars, Dorrin, Ensign Senior Grade McLaren, Matthew, Ensign Senior Grade Thrall, Sandoval, Lieutenant Major T'Vanek, Lieutenant Colonel] the computer droned. Paul listened and watched as the 10 names scrolled across his PADD. A short list to be sure. Paul figured that it took some technical and tactical no how to construct that kind of bomb. Paul looked at the list. ~Engtamn-Jensi is not practical, he's a pacifist, Arianna has been busy all day with Leona, I couldn't have done it to myself unless I'm crazier than I thought I was, Chandler hasn't had time and neither has Klars, McLaren has been too busy all day, and the marines are monitored at all times, besides it wouldn't be Thrall or T'Vanek's style. That leaves two.~ Paul tapped a few keys to remove the names that he felt were not possible. [Allenby, Dale, Petty Officer 3rd Class Callaghan, Ian, Senior Chief Petty Officer] the computer recited the new list. Paul then tapped on the PADD, "Please get these names to Klars and/or Chandler. Make sure Rogers knows as well. Callaghan just joined our crew, making Allenby my biggest suspicion. Call up his service record please. Find out where he's been... where his family is." (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (Starbase Geneva, Corridor, COUNS/A3O, Ensign {SG} Brian Rogers, 2129) Brian had left his meeting with Kaitlyn a while ago, but was taking the long way back to Ops to get everything out of his head, when suddenly he got a call from Ops. =^= Lieutenant Yalrath to Ensign Rogers, we have a problem up here... there is a ship waiting to dock. =^= Yalrath said, her voice sounded different, but Brian couldn't figure out what was wrong. "What’s wrong? Let them dock," Brian said. ~Dozens of ships docked every day. What was special about this one?~ =^= Well, you see sir, the problem is that the ship is pledged to Doenitz, but if we don't let them dock the entire crew is likely not going to survive. The ship is severely crippled. I really think you should get up here, =^= she said, her voice uncertain. "Alright. I'm on my way. Rogers out," Brian said has he picked up the pace and ran to the nearest Turbolift. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Center, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2130) Kaitlyn was becoming as frustrated as Paul was. With all of this going on the station, it made one wonder how they could even deal with it all. As Paul handed her the PADD, she did as it told her. "Please say aloud, 'Computer, list all known personnel on the station who are capable of building a device like the one that exploded in Lieutenant Casely's quarters." After saying what he wanted, they both listened as the computer made a list of people applicable to do the dirty deed. She was quiet as Paul kept typing on the PADD, then handed it to her again. It read, "Please get these names to Klars and/or Chandler. Make sure Rogers knows as well. Callaghan just joined our crew, making Allenby my biggest suspicion. Call up his service record please. Find out where he's been... where his family is." "Computer, show me a service record for Allenby, Dale." It only took a moment for the computer to call up the service record. She then downloaded it into the PADD Paul held, so he could look at it as well. They were both suspects at this point, and Kaitlyn didn't want to risk saying their names over the comm. "I'm going to go run these names down to Rogers and Chandler. I'll be back soon," she said. (Posted by: Stacey) (Starbase Geneva, Main Ops, COUNS/A3O, Ensign {SG} Brian Rogers, 2133) Brian walked in and saw a seriously damaged Intrepid-class ship on the screen. "Is that it?" Brian asked Yalrath. (reply Yalrath) "Open a channel," Brian ordered. (reply Yalrath, iyw) When the channel was opened, Brian started speaking. "This is Ensign, uh, Mr. Brian Rogers, I'm in charge right now. About how many wounded are on your ship?" (reply T'Larr) "I see. Well, Commander, I'm sure you know our two factions of Starfleet are at war with each other. Our rules dictate that I should turn you away, but since I am a trained doctor myself... and a Starfleet Officer with morals, I will make a very generous offer. You can beam over has many wounded has you want. The wounded will be treated to the best of the ability of our talented medical staff..." Brian's mind changed to Kaitlyn, but then back to the situation, "...but then taken has prisoners of war and will not be beamed back.. We will have our transporter try to filter out and weapons, and if any of your crew are carrying weapons, they will be beamed back and we will stop transporting. Once we have all the wounded you care to give up to us, you will leave at once and I will alert all our ships in the area to your ship name, class, crew status and tactical complement. That offer is much better than any other commanding officer will give you during this war, I can guarantee it. So, do you take it?" Brian asked. With such a large number of their crew injured, losing them permantly wouldn't be good, plus if they beam their captain over, a POW of a captain's stature would be a big intelligence score for our side, but again, Brian didn't expect him to take it. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (Starbase Geneva, Promenade, Security Personnel, Petty Officer 3rd Class, Dale Allenby, 2135) =^=You failed Allenby! I want him taken care of! Finish the job, or you're finished.=^= Benford was mad as hell, and for good reason. Dale should have made a motion sensor bomb and had it go off when someone entered the bedroom that way Casely would have been farther in his quarters and would be dead, rather than simply injured. "I'm sorry, I'll make sure its right," said Dale. =^=Sorry? You're sorry? Just fix it, now!=^= "Nothing that a pillow won't cure, I'm on my way to Medical now, I'll relieve the guard posted there and take over," said Dale. Casely stood for everything he despised. He worked with those... aliens, even for them and happily did so. Allenby had seen other Petty Officers move up faster than him, all because they weren't human. For a human, Casely wasn't very loyal to his kind. (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (Starbase Geneva, Main Operations, OPS, Lieutenant {JG} Zadora Yalrath, 2136) Zadora waited for the response from the ship. She knew that Rogers was doing his best, and he had made a good offer to the Commander of the Montcalm. He hoped that the Commander would accept. Soon, a communiqué came from the crippled ship. =^=Mr. Rogers, certain aspects of your proposal are very logical, however some do defy logic. We have approximately 104 surviving members of our crew. Twenty-seven, including our captain are injured. The size of your station's brig will not hold that many individuals once they are helped. In addition, we will have 77 crewmembers left on the ship, which will surely explode without repairs meaning they will all die. I will propose to you a counter offer. If you give medical aid and engineering repairs I will beam over and remain in your brig, as will Captain Beurform when he is well enough. Our second officer, who is also our tactical chief, has indicated he will join me. As the crew are mandated to follow our orders, in any kind of war crimes tribunal the three of us would carry the brunt of any punishment at any rate. Your engineering staff may permanently remove our offensive weapons and limit our movement to Warp One. That will ensure that we cannot attack you and it will take us 8 months to return to our nearest repair facility. This will keep us out of the war, and still allow the crew of the Montcalm to survive.=^= Zadora looked at Rogers, she would follow whatever order he was prepared to give. She wondered what he would do in this circumstance. (Posted by Jeff Bergeron) (Starbase Geneva, Main Ops, COUNS/A3O, Ensign {SG} Brian Rogers, 2137) Brian listened to the Vulcan's offer. "That offer is accepted. Please wait has I prepare the medical and engineering teams," Brian said, then nodded to Yalrath to cut the transmission. Brian tapped his comm badge, "Rogers to Dr. Mackenzie. Please prepare a medical team that’s ready to treat serious battle trauma, and bring one extra medical kit and medical uniform to transporter room 4," (reply Mackenzie) "You're going to beam over to the enemy ship and treat their wounded. Has for security, I've got that planned out," Brian said, smiling, "Rogers out." Brian then tapped his comm badge again. "Rogers to McLaren, Matthew, please get a full engineering team ready. You and the team are going to beam over and repair this enemy ship. Just get their life support online. Disable their weapons, and weaken their shields and limit their warp engines to Warp 1," (reply McLaren) "Oh yes, and please bring and extra engineering repair kit to transporter room 5," Brian said. He then tapped his comm badge again. "Rogers to Chandler and Klars. I would like you two to go on an undercover mission. Ensign Chandler will pose has a medical officer with Lt. Commander Mackenzie. You don't have to heal anybody, just escort the medical team. Ensign Klars will pose has an engineer with Ensign McLaren. Again, you don't have to repair anything, just make sure that the engineers and medics don't get shot up. Bring some small palm phasers with you. (reply Klars, Chandler) "Very good. Ops out," and with that the channel closed. "Reopen the channel, Lt. Yalrath," he ordered. (reply Yalrath, iyw) The channel opened and the Vulcan was back on the screen. "My teams are now getting ready. When they are ready we will signal you and you can then beam over. Understood?" Brian asked. (reply T'Larr) "Understood. Geneva out," Brian said, has Yalrath closed the channel. Brian waited has the teams got ready. "Do you think this is going to work?" Brian asked Yalrath. A few quick inquiries had yielded a good deal of information. Damok had called to Bokat to join him, as he was currently researching as instructed. Now Damok approached Madon's quarters, knowing Bokat would soon join them. He pressed the chime and waited. Eventually the door slid open and Damok entered. "Madon, the First Officer is in the Medical Center, apparently someone planted a bomb in his quarters and almost killed him," said Damok, trying to hide the excitement in his voice. Madon looked surprised, she already knew of the bomb of course, the news had been flying around the station & the blast had hardly gone unnoticed but she haven’t known that it had actually involved the first officer. "This is most interesting news", said Madon as she stood to pace the room contemplating the information Damok had imparted. She paused for a while, obviously running possibilities around her head. "Do we continue with our previous plan to infect Rogers or do we go straight for command with the first officer whilst he is incapacitated?", said Madon, more asking herself the question than Damok. (Reply Damok) "Where is Ensign Rogers at this precise moment?", said Madon. "Currently Ensign Rogers is in control of the station. It is his first time," said Damok with a broad smile. "There would be no one protecting him, a simple summons with a likely problem might easily get him down there", he added. Madon thought again, running every tactical situation around in her head in the process. The first officer in the medical section seemed almost too good a chance to pass up on. After thinking about it however, Madon chose to stick with their first plan to infect Rogers. "See to it immediately", she snapped as she continued pacing the room in an almost excited fashion. "It will no doubt be more difficult to gain access to the first officer at this time, once we have Rogers however, it will be much easier a task", said Madon. "The first officer will keep for the time being", she added as she moved to sit upon the couch once again. She knew that a few individuals would be radioing up for more information, but she also knew they generally wouldn't if Casely were giving the orders. That wasn't necessarily because Casely's orders were any more complete, but rather because most tended not to question him as much. Rogers was a new, and unknown entity. That left some of them a bit... nervous. "Reopen the channel, Lt. Yalrath," Rogers ordered. "Aye sir," Zadora replied. The channel opened and the Vulcan was back on the screen. (Posted by Esther) (Starbase Geneva, Promenade, Security Personnel, Petty Officer 3rd Class, Dale Allenby, 2151) Dale soon noticed that no one was around. He quickly moved to Casely's biobed and took out a pillow. He had his own reasons for hating Casely. He had family on the USS Savannah, the ship that Casely had pulled his 'famous' maneuver on, destroying the ship and killing half the crew. His father had died in that event and his mother was reduced to a broken woman. Afterwards, Dale had slowly gained the trust of the Lodonna faction to get on the station and then had met Benford. Dale didn't necessarily completely share Bedford’s hatred for non-humans, but he did hate Casely and was more than happy to remove the man from existence. Dale held the pillow over Casely's face and began to press down hard. A few minutes later, Casely's limbs began to frantically move to try and remove the blockage from his airway. Then, Dale heard it... "Hey! What are you doing?" Sam said authoritatively. "Just get away from here, and you won't get hurt," responded Allenby venomously. "Step away from the biobed," Sam said, grabbing her phaser. Allenby already had his, and ducked behind a biobed for cover. Allenby grimaced with anger when he heard Casely take a deep breath after being released from the death grip. Allenby pushed the strength of the phaser up and fired at Sam, missing her but striking a side panel. Sparks flew from the panel and he lost track of the Ensign who had interrupted him. (Posted by Stacey) (Starbase Geneva, Sickbay, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2156) Sam saw the security guard duck behind a biobed. Before she could anything, he fired at her with his phaser. Thankfully, he missed, hitting a side panel and sending sparks flying. Sam cried out as some of sparks hit her, scorching the back of her uniform. She quickly behind a nearby console while the sparks were still flying. She tapped her combadge, "Chandler to Security. I need help in Sickbay. I am under fire. Someone just made another attempt on Lt. Casely's life and they have got me pinned down. Get someone down here, NOW!" Sam said frantically. (Reply Klars, anyone who could HELP!) Sam poked her head around the side of the console to see where the security guard was, only to get shot at again. Sam could only hope help would arrive soon. Brian gave him a polite nod. "So what’s this all about? What type of ship is it?" Matthew asked. "It’s an Intrepid-class ship. It’s loyal to Doentiz and you and your team need to first off repair the life support systems, then limit its warp drive to Warp 1, and disable its weapons systems. That way, it takes them 8 months to get to the nearest Doentiz repair facility, effectively keeping them out of the war," Brian said. He also saw Klars walk in. She had been exchanging phaser fire with the security guard for several minutes, but to her it seemed like hours. ~Where is that security team?~ she thought. She turned around and moved to where she could fire another shot. She raised her phaser and fired another shot only to be shot at herself. The shot grazed her right arm, burning the sleeve and burning her arm slightly. Sam ducked back behind the console. ~That was too close,~ she thought. She realized that unless security arrived soon, she may actually be killed. About that time, she heard the door swish open. Not wanting to give him a target, Sam stayed behind the console. She heard something that sounded like a scuffle. Sam moved out from behind the console. She saw Ensign Klars disarming the other man. "You okay?" he asked. "Yeah, I am alright. That last shot grazed my arm and burned it slightly. Aside from that I am okay," Sam answered, breathing a sigh of relief. "You don't know how glad I am to see you." "Are you sure? If you don't feel up to it we could have another security officer go in your place?" he said. "I am fine, sir. Really, it is just a scratch. I can still move my arm and it doesn't hurt that much," Sam replied. "Very good. We should hurry to the transporter room, then. He had recommended they storm the station, but T'Larr refused. Now he was going to spend the rest of the war locked up in some prison cell... instead of fighting these soft-bellied cowards who were thought they knew better than Admiral Doentiz. He wished that Captain Beurform hadn't been injured, he wouldn't of just given up. He looked down and pounded his fist on the transporter console and looked up. He got a message from the Bridge that Geneva was beaming over its teams now. He then went to work and soon the teams beamed it. It appeared to be a group of Medical officers and a group of engineers. ~No weapons, how foolish.~ "Hello! I am Lt. Commander Barns, the second officer of this vessel. Which group are the engineers?" Ryan asked. It was just to be official, he could tell by the uniforms. (reply McLaren, Klars) "Alright. Please go to Deck 7, where our Life Support systems are located. She could tell that he had something up his sleeve and he was hiding something. Sam listened as he then addressed the engineering team when they stepped forward. As they walked out the door, Sam caught Klars' eye. She gave him slight nod to reassure him that she could handle protecting the medical team. Barns then turned back to them, "Hello. The wounded are all on Deck 5. Some are in our Main Sickbay others are in the ICU which is next to the sickbay. I'll show you the way." They are failing, and you will need to hurry. Our chief engineer was killed, but the Engineer's Mate is down there. He'll answer your questions," Ryan said. Something about the tone of his voice didn't sound exactly....calming. In fact, knowing that this was one of Doenitz's ships didn't soothe her either. Having had the experience of command under her belt, she was fast suspicious of his motives. "Hello. The wounded are all on Deck 5. Some are in our Main Sickbay others are in the ICU which is next to the sickbay. I'll show you the way," Ryan said. Kaitlyn followed Barns until they reached sickbay. She knew she was there to help, and she wanted to do just that, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was up. (Posted by Stacey) (USS Montcalm, Deck 4, Transporter Room #1, Ensign McLaren 2215) As Matthew materialized on the transporter pad he quickly took in his surroundings. As he stepped off the platform a man stepped forward. "Hello! I am Lt. Commander Barns, the second officer of this vessel. Which group is the engineers?" Ryan asked. ~Well who do ya reckon~ Matthew thought darkly. He had taken an immediate dislike to the man in front of him. Luckily Klars identified them and McLaren didn't have to say anything. "Alright. Please go to Deck 7, where our Life Support systems are located. They are failing, and you will need to hurry. Our chief engineer was killed, but the Engineer's Mate is down there. "Our captain, Captain Beurform, is in the main biobed. Please heal him first," Ryan said. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2226) Upon entering sickbay, she saw vast amounts of people.....everywhere! Even on the floors, they took up every inch of space. She had always hated battle, and it was one of the reasons she wanted a position on a starbase. "Our captain, Captain Beurform, is in the main biobed. Please heal him first," Ryan said. ~A little demanding, aren't we?~ She tried not to make an outward appearance on her face, a look that meant she was disgusted that he wouldn't want the worst injury healed first. ~I'm going to treat this like my own sickbay.~ Making up her mind, she decided she wouldn't heal the captain first, unless his injuries were more severe than the others. As a general rule in medical, all worst cases for the main priority. "I'll be on the bridge, if you have any questions, one of the few medical officers down here can help you," Ryan said before storming off. ~Great. How am I going to pull this off?~ With all the extra medical personnel from his own ship, she was sure she'd be under suspicion if she didn't do what the commander asked of her. ~Screw it.~ Pulling her own medical team aside, she said to them quietly, "Everyone here knows the rules of medical triage. The worst injuries are taken care of first." She paused, then continued, "That's the way I intend to treat these people here." She watched as her decision dawned on them. They knew what she was referring to, but didn't say a word. Louder, she continued, "Alright, split up and let's get going!" (Posted by Stacey) (USS Montcalm, Deck 4, Life Support Control, Ensign SG Matthew McLaren, 2226) Matthew had been hard at work repairing the systems of this crippled ship. But as he worked, he also worked on a few projects of his own. He now had the ship rigged so that on voice command, all remaining internal forcefields would be activated and the warp core would be ejected to detonate therefore stranding the ship. At another command he could have the life support systems pump gas into key areas of the ship. He hoped it wouldn't come to that though. When he heard that the 2 teams in sickbay had been attacked he had not been surprised at all. It was what he was expecting and couldn't understand why both teams had beamed over without their side arms. Matthew was interrupted from his work by men storming the room. He swung around ready to fight but they were Geneva marines. The lead one stepped forward. "Who is the leader here?" "That'd be me." Matthew said stepping forward as well. "Did you see another Marine squad come through here?" "Negative, you're the first we've seen." He said crisply. He liked the marines no nonsense attitudes and could even relate sometimes but not quite as extreme. "Got it. How far are you from being finished?" "Bout 15 minutes. I am currently depleting the weapons and then that'll be it." He replied. Graavk nodded and tapped his comm badge. "Marine Fireteam Bravo to Geneva. We have secured both the engineering and medical teams, yet Fireteam Alpha is missing. Do you have a lock on their location?" =^= Hold on, Corporal, we're looking them up now. They're moving slowly... they're on Deck 15, near the Antimatter Storage Area, =^= Rogers reported. ~That’s not right, why would Sgt. Bowie lead his team down there?~ Graavk shook his head. "Permission to go to Deck 15 and recover our Marines, sir," Graavk asked. =^=I'm sorry, Corporal. We'll try calling them, but the teams should be done soon and we've got to get our people home. Hold position and protect the Engineering Team. Once the start to disable the weapons and limit the warp engine, they'll be a target. Commander T'Larr tells me that most of the crew has gone to their quarters, but a small portion is trying to retake the ship. Be careful, Geneva out, =^= Rogers voice said. Graavk filled with anger has he turned to his team and the Engineers. "I am going alone to see why Sgt. Bowie is on Deck 15. Pvt. Johnson and Ensign Chandler are going to protect you. When Geneva calls, get outta here. Good luck," Graavk said before walking out. Matthew was about to yell after him but he was gone. He shrugged and turned back to the junction he was repairing. A few minutes later the voice of Rogers filtered through his badge. =^=Geneva to Ensign McLaren, have you repaired their life support, disabled their weapons and limited their warp drive?=^= "I am still working on the weapons but then I’ll be good to go." He said. =^=How long until your finished?=^= Brian asked "Bout 5 to 10 minutes." He said not looking up from his work. =^=Okay, keep up the good work, Geneva out,=^= Then another message came though for Klars and he left with the new ensign that Matthew still didn't know the name off. ~Must meet her later~ (Posted by Matt) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, ATAC/ASC, Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2227) Sam was surprised at the number of people that had been injured. "Mr. Bowie, I need you to lead a squad of 6 Marines to the USS Montcalm, a Doentiz ship," Brian said. When he was finished, there was a bunch of laugher going around the barracks. The Marines thought they were going to invade. "However... this is a peaceful mission. A large part of the Montcalm's crew is injured. "Mr. Bowie knows the mission outline, he picks your weapon complement. Good luck, remember, you aren't there to invade. Dismissed," Brian said. Has he walked out, he heard the rest of the Marines rush around Bowie to beg to be on the team. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Corridor, 2O, Lt. Commander Ryan Barns, 2234) Ryan led a small group of six crewmen through the halls. Ryan found them in the mess hall and had convinced them to stand up for the ideals of Doentiz. They were on their way to the ship's armory on Deck 4, but Barns had to stop and see why the captain wasn't on the bridge yet. Worst of all, that Vulcan moron had ordered General Quarters for whatever reason. He hoped that T'Larr wasn't taking orders from those peace niks onboard Geneva. He stopped outside Sickbay and told his men to wait outside has he went in. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 4, Transporter Room, Marine, SSgt. Kurt Bowie, 2235) Bowie beamed in with the 5 other Marines. They were fully armed with the best of modern Starfleet Weapons. There was nobody in here, so there was no point in staying here. Bowie gave the hand signal to move out, and they moved out the door. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2235) Sam kept her eye out for any dangers to the medical team while they worked. Suddenly, the door swished open and Barns stormed into Sickbay. He grabbed a hold of Dr. Mackenzie and shoved her into a bulkhead. "YOU STUPID BROAD! Why isn't Beurform back on the bridge?" Barns screamed. Sam immediately perked up. Her hand hovered near her pocket where the palm phaser was, just in case it would be needed. "Excuse me, Mr. Barns is it? Your captain hasn't sustained serious injury compared to the injuries of others. Therefore, he can wait until I've treated the most serious cases first!" Instead of answering Mackenzie, Barns ignored her and went straight to Sam. "You! You ain't doing nothing. Heal the captain, now!" he yelled grabbing her hand and placing a tricorder in it. Sam had some medical knowledge, but she knew that it probably wouldn't be enough to fool him. So she tried to prolong it without giving herself away. She went over to the man laying on the biobed. Thankfully, before Sam could do anything that would blow her cover, Dr. Mackenzie came over to her. "Fine! I'll do it," Mackenzie said, saving Sam's cover. Sam gave her a nod of thanks and moved back a little bit to give her some room. "He has a broken finger and a large laceration on his thigh. I highly doubt he's going to die anytime soon." Mackenzie told Barns. "Listen, I don't care if all he's got is a toothache! He is our captain and I-..." he was interrupted. "However, that crewman over there won't live past 10 minutes if I don’t' stop his bleeding!" Mackenzie continued. "Can't you spare one of your no good moronic medics to do it?" he said glaring at Geneva's medical team. Sam glared right back. "My medical team won't do it either. They're under my orders... not yours!" "Oh lord, just have one of your stupid lackeys do it!" Sam was having a hard time keeping herself from telling this man where he could put it. She was getting sick of the way he was acting. Before anyone could say anything else, a crewman rushed in, "Sir! A team of Marines from Geneva is coming this way!" he said. "Oh son of a... Alright, you and the others go to the armory and load up, then come back and start firing!" Barns yelled as the crewman ran to do what he had ordered. Right after the crewman went through the door, a team of marines came through the door into Sickbay, armed to the teeth. Sam's hand went to her pocket where the palm phaser was. There was no way that this was going to be resolved peacefully. Both Barns and Mackenzie went for a laser scalpel that was sitting on a tray. Unfortunately, Barns got there first and grabbed Mackenzie. "I swear, if you fire at me or my crew, I will cut a six inch hole in her neck!" Barns fired off. Sam watched as Mackenzie tried to negotiate with Barns, but as the moments ticked by and Barns became more aggressive, it became apparent that it wasn't going to work. Mackenzie moved her eyes towards Sam. Sam looked over to the Marines that had lowered their weapons. She realized that she was their ace in the hole. Barns thought that she was just a medic. He didn't know that she was a tactical officer or that she was one heck of a shot. Sam looked Mackenzie straight in the eye and conveyed her message, ~Distract him~ In her hand she had the palm phaser tucked behind her thumb. She quickly flashed it to Mackenzie to show her that she was armed. Once Mackenzie got her message, Sam began to inch to where she would be able to surprise Barns without seeing her as she snuck up on him. They all aimed their Assault Phaser Rifles at her. Bowie screamed, "GET YOUR PANZY ASS BACK TO YOUR QUARTERS, NOW!" She screamed and took off running. Corporal Graavk, the tall Tellarite Marine, started laughing. "Hey guys, she was a lieutenant, go figure. I told ya' officers don't know jack!" "Here, did you see her face?" said a Andorian Marine, laughing with him. "Stow it!" Bowie yelled, "Let’s move out." They said has they started moving along the deck, and ordered any stray crewmen to return to their quarters in a similar fashion has the lieutenant from the science division. Soon they had the deck secured and Bowie tapped his comm badge. "Marine Squad Bravo to Geneva. We've secured Deck 4. I am going to lead one Fireteam to Deck 7 to help the engineering squad, Corporal Graavk is going to lead another fireteam to Deck 5 to rescue the medical team." =^= Sounds good, their FO says he ordered them all to General Quarters, which means shoot any crewmen you see in the halls from here out... on maximum stun, =^= Rogers said, the counselor who some how got in charge. Not bothering to turn around, she took in a sharp breath as she was suddenly yanked up and thrown across the room into a bulkhead. "YOU STUPID BROAD! Why isn't Beurform back on the bridge?" Barns screamed. Kaitlyn blinked slowly, regaining her vision back. She then got to her feet and noticed a small cut on her hand. She'd have to deal with that later. "Excuse me, Mr. Barns is it? Your captain hasn't sustained serious injury compared to the injuries of others. Therefore, he can wait until I've treated the most serious cases first!" She knew she was in for it now. She let her temper fly and didn't care, though she was sure Barns was going to do something about her. To her surprise, he ignored her and walked over to Chandler, the undercover security. "You! You ain't doing nothing. Heal the captain, now!" Watching, she could see Chandler going over to the captain, slowly, trying to prolong the act without alarming him she might not be medical indeed. Kaitlyn knew she would have a hard time, because she wasn't from medical, so she walked over to Chandler and knelt beside her. "Fine! I'll do it," Kaitlyn said, and took the tricorder from Chandler. She knew if Chandler couldn't babble off some medical excuse they were in deep water. ~As if we're not already.~ Scanning the captain, she said, "He has a broken finger and a large laceration on his thigh. "I swear, if you fire at me or my crew, I will cut a six inch hole in her neck!" Barns fired off. Corporal Graavk (the tall Tellarite) and his two other Marine soldiers lowered their rifles. At the point in time, she knew they were the ones that out gunned her, so she didn't try anything stupid. Before she could reply, a soldier serving Barns walked in. "Sir! A team of Marines from Geneva is coming this way!" he said. "Oh son of a... Alright, you and the others go to the armory and load up, then come back and start firing!" She watched the crewman nod, then he was on his way out the door. She knew that all hell was about to break loose. Watching Barns turn around, she saw something in his eyes, and felt the need to suddenly be able to defend herself. As the away team was not carrying phasers on them, she had to use more....efficient means. Both her and Barns went for the laser scalpel at the same time, but Barns was too strong, and he got it first. Upon getting that, he then grabbed her roughly and held the scalpel to her neck. "I swear, if you fire at me or my crew, I will cut a six inch hole in her neck!" Barns fired off. ~Damn it!~ She watched as the Geneva marines lowered their weapons. She realized there wasn't anything they could do at this point without risking hitting her. Flipping the other side of the coin, she decided to try and play calmly instead of shooting her mouth off. "Look..." she whispered. "If you let me and the rest of the crew go, I can give you Geneva's shield and weapons harmonics." Of coarse she was just playing. It never hurt to try anyways. <> She figured he wouldn't go for it, but it was worth a try. Then she decided to be bold. "I'll stay." She paused, then continued. "I'll stay.....let the rest of them go and I'll stay." <> ~If I stay maybe I can get their shield harmonics...~ she thought sneakily. She watched the mixed reactions on her crewmates faces as they weren't exactly sure what she was up to. Most of them had a good idea she could tell. Getting tired, she was starting to realize that it would be harder to deal with Barns than she thought. ~No doubt one of Doenitz's people.~ As he started getting more aggressive, she finally decided to shut up for the moment. Moving her eyes over to Chandler, she hoped maybe she could think a way out of this situation. (Posted by Stacey) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, Marine, Corporal Graavk, 2241) Graavk and his two other Marines were helpless has the insane 2O held Dr. Mackenzie hostage in front of their eyes. "Now! Contact your station. Tell them that in exchange for the location of every ship in your piddly little fleet, we want the shield harmonics for the USS Nimitz. After that trick they pulled months ago that killed two good ships, we're going right for them!" Barns said. Graavk shook his head, but tapped his comm badge. "Corporal Graavk to Geneva. He then noticed that a young medic was sneaking up behind the 2O and had a palm phaser in her hand. Graavk turned away and smiled, ~She must be one of Casely's security officers.~ But then, four crewmembers, armed with phaser rifles stormed in and opened fire on the Marines. Graavk and his two squad mates ducked for cover behind some biobeds, the Montcalm's crew wouldn't dare fire at their own wounded. The other four took cover on the door frame of the outside of the sickbay. They exchanged fire back and forth for a while. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2242) Uncomfortable in Barns' tight grip, her eyes drifted towards Chandler. She hoped that she would be a diversion or a surprise and could think of a way out of this. Chandler eyed her back, as if wanted to tell Kaitlyn something. She soon realized what it was as she saw the palm phaser Sam had been holding. "Corporal Graavk to Geneva. We've got a request. The ship's second officer has Dr. Mackenzie hostage and is demanding the location to every ship in the fleet, and the tactical data on the USS Nimitz," Graavk reported. After having had contact with Chandler, Kaitlyn was suddenly alerted back to the current situation she was in. She heard Corporal Graavk's communication to Geneva, and could do nothing but stand there and listen as Barns held her to him. =^= Kaitlyn? Is she... uh, is Dr. Mackenzie intact? =^= the voice of Rogers said. Eyes lighting up, Kaitlyn realized it was Brian on the other end. ~Brian! Get me out of here!~ "Dr. Mackenzie is fine, but... From experience, Kaitlyn knew it wouldn't take that long for the requested information, and soon realized he was giving them more time. "Understood, sir. Marine Fireteam Bravo out," Graavk said. Looking straight at Graavk, she saw he looked right past her instead. Almost as if someone were else were behind her. Her mind racing, she immediately knew it had to be Sam. She didn't have time to think, as four crewmembers barreled around the corridor and began firing at the marines. Realizing this was the distraction she needed, and knowing Sam was right behind her, she shouted, "Sam, NOW!" <> Before Barns realized it, Sam had come right up behind him and shot him down, immediately releasing Kaitlyn. Sighing heavily, she realized just how close she had come to possibly dying at the hands of someone who was supposed to have been working with them, not against them. Still shaking, Kaitlyn quickly ducked as the fired shots were going everywhere. "You wouldn't happen to have another one of those nifty things, eh?" Kaitlyn joked with her, but knew this wasn't the time. So instead, she ran over to where Barns' body lay, and picked the laser scalpel from him. ~This will have to do for now.~ Tapping her commbadge, she said, "Mackenzie to Geneva....the hostage situation has been taken care of, but we're under heavy fire!" <> She listened as she heard Rogers' voice over the communicator. She wasn't sure if he could help or what he had planned, but Kaitlyn decided she wanted to make sure the engineering team was safe as well. "Aye sir, Mackenzie out." After closing the channel, she quickly looked around for any Jeffries tubes that might conceal her going about the ship. (Posted by Stacey) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, Marine, Corporal Graavk, 2243) Graavk and his men exchanged fire with the enemy crewmen. Suddenly they heard a disruption behind them and saw that Dr. Mackenzie with the help of the undercover security officer had taken out that insane officer. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2244) While Barns made his demands and the marines kept his attention away from her, Sam snuck up behind him. She hoped Mackenzie had understood her message and knew what to do. She saw one of the marines had noticed her sneaking up behind Barns and had figured out what she was doing. Suddenly, four Montcalm crewman burst through the door, armed to the teeth. They immediately began firing at Geneva's marines. The marines began to exchange fire with them. This distracted Barns, giving Sam a chance to help Mackenzie. She aimed the palm phaser at Barns. "Sam, NOW!" Mackenzie yelled. Before Barns could react, Sam fired the phaser and Barns released Mackenzie and slumped to the ground. With phaser fire all around them from the firefight, Sam and Mackenzie were forced to take cover. "You wouldn't happen to have another one of those nifty things, eh?" Mackenzie joked with her. Sam shook her head and smiled. After that, Mackenzie grabbed the laser scalpel off Barns. Then she contacted Geneva. While Mackenzie did that, Sam joined the marines in the firefight. She hoped the extra firepower would help the marines. The lead marine though, declined the reinforcements. Sam could understand somewhat why he had. The firefight continued for a few minutes more and then it was all over. One of the marines came over to Mackenzie and Sam. "Doc, we're going go down to Deck 7 to see what happened with the other fireteam and the engineering crew, but we'll leave one solider here to cover you. Is that okay?" The moment he had made the call however was the moment Madon stood from the sofa to cast him a look of stone cold indignance at being dropped right into Damok`s invented scene without even a discussion. "We need to come up with a 'story' in case he does not arrive alone. Ideas?" asked Damok. Madon quickly relaxed her brow & then turned to walk to the window, turning her back to Damok as she did so but maintaining a discussion with him. "Let us hope that they know little of Cardassian ways", said Madon, "since it has already been intonated that there is something wrong with myself, we can perhaps manufacture some ruse along the lines of my apparent problem being....", she said pausing to look for the correct word. ".....sensitive enough to warrant no more than one person entering our quarters", said Madon, turning to face Damok as she finished her sentence. "If, on the other hand this proves to be unavoidable, then you will have to incapacitate whoever might be with him in the most discreet manner you can think of", she added moving again to sit upon the couch. "Where is Glinn Bokat anyway?", said Madon. (Reply Damok) "We must ready our guest for its new host", said Madon standing again to go fetch one of the small boxes holding the symbiants. (Posted by Esther) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn only hoped they'd get there in time, and that they wouldn't be too overpowered. She watched as they all filed out, heading towards engineering. As they did so, she finally let out the breath she had been holding since Barns had held her hostage. ~Barns.....~ Going over to him, she checked for a pulse. He still had one, but was bleeding from the phaser burn on his back. She paused, wondering whether or not she should still provide the medical aid. She was of coarse a doctor, so she decided to go ahead and continue with what they were there for in the first place. Motioning to one of her medical colleagues, she said, "Help me get Mr. Barns here on that biobed." Damok nodded his assent & then stood to open the door to the crewman waiting on the other side. Immediately he did so, Dufrane entered the room, a rather worried look upon his face & a medical kit in hand as he enquired as to the problem. Madon immediately allowed herself to sink into the couch once again feigning apparent nausea as the man approached. It was clear within a short time however that he knew little of Cardassian physiology for he fumbled with the contents of his kit as he knelt beside the couch, looking from one item to another, completely unsure as to how to proceed. Immediately, the medic turned to look up to Damok, by then however, it was too late. Damok held the symbiant aloft in one hand & then he dropped it strategically upon the shoulder of the man, who quickly rose to his feet flailing his arms about in an attempt to dislodge the vile creature from his person. In seconds, the creature had entered the unfortunate mans ear & had lodged itself further into its predetermined path at the base of his fourth cervical vertebra. Madon sat upright with a smile upon her face as the man tried vainly to reach for his comm badge to call for help amidst his cries of anguish. "Don’t fight it", said Madon curtly, "it’ll just make things worse, allow it to take hold of you, it will make you a much better person", she added in a calm voice as Damok knelt to remove the communicator from his uniform. Within a few minutes, Dufrane lay motionless upon the floor, his gaze relaxing as the symbiant took control of his mind & body. Then slowly, he raised himself up onto his arms smiling to Madon & Damok as he did so. Dufrane had now been infected. "Whom do you serve?", said Madon looking into the mans face. After a minute or so, the door opened, and Dufrane saw a group of Cardassians watching him. Vic entered and looked around. One of them was on a couch. Vic put the medkit down and took out the medical tricorder, but dropped the hand scanner. He fumbled on the ground to find it when the one on the couch spoke. "You are not familiar with Cardassian physiology? Allow my Cardassian friend here to assist you by offering a suitable piece of medical equipment for your needs," she said with a smile. Vic stood up and turned, and saw the Cardassian drop something on his shoulder. He panicked and tried to get it off, but he felt it climb up his neck. "He... help me get it... what is this?" Dufrane stuttered has he tried in a vain attempt to grab it. He felt it go in his ear, he tried to tap his comm badge, but missed and screams, "I NEED SECURITY!" And with that, Dufrane's vision melded out of view, and he passed out... The symbiant took control, and first noticed that the human's body was very sweaty and his heart rate was increased. ~Silly humans, they act has if we are evil~ it thought. "Whom do you serve?" Madon asked. "I serve you," Dufrane said with a slight bow.. "Good. Very good, we have a new mission for you", she said. "I am ready. What is the mission?" Dufrane asked. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 7, Corridor, Marine, Corporal Graavk, 2253) Despite Graavk's fear, the Ensign didn't fall behind, and kept up well with the other Marines. Has the approached the door to the Life Support Systems where the engineering team was supposed to work, Graavk gave the Marine hand signal for 'stop', but decided for the best interest for Chandler to say it aloud. "Hold up," he said has they stopped and went for cover on a corner. "Where is Sgt. Bowie? His fireteam was supposed to be here a good 20 minutes ago," Graavk asked. "Maybe he got all shot up," Private Johnson, a human Marine, remarked. (reply Chandler, iyw) "Alright, we're going to move in and secure the room. I'll take point..." Graavk paused, he didn't know if Chandler knew Marines lingo, "I'll be the leader, Chandler will be two steps behind me, Johnson will be three steps behind here, with his back at the rear. We'll move into room, check all four points, then the center. Any questions?" Graavk asked. (reply Chandler) "No, sir!" Pvt. Johnson said. "Alright, Semper Fi!" Graavk shouted. Graavk raised his assault phaser rifle, and moved around the corner, checking both ways then moving to the wall with the door on it and slide down the side, he saw that Chandler was perfectly spaced two body-lengths apart, and Johnson was another three lengths behind her. They slide down the wall until they reached the door. Then Graavk jumped in the door and was followed by the team. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (Starbase Geneva, Diplomatic Center, Council Member Madon, 2254) To anybody other than the two Cardassians in the room at that time, the event would have been hard to witness as the young medic had clearly suffered during the takeover of his mind & body. Actually, it had come as some relief to him also when the process had finally completed since he was now free of pain, although to be honest, he was now free also of any willpower in regards his formal self. Standing before his new cohorts however, he was ready for his first commands. "Whom do you serve?" Madon asked. "I serve you," Dufrane said with a slight bow.. "Good. Very good, we have a new mission for you", she said. "I am ready. What is the mission?" Dufrane asked. For a moment Madon said nothing, she just turned & walked towards the window, the she turned to face Dufrane once again to speak. "You are to go about the normal duties assigned to the body you now inhabit", said Madon, "typically, you are to observe & report all matters pertaining to First officer Casely & other high command officers aboard Geneva & report them back to myself, Gul Damok or Glinn Bokat, whom you will meet shortly", said Madon. (Reply Dufrane) "You will be contacted should those orders change in anyway", said Madon, "Leave us now", she added just as Glinn Bokat entered the room. "One moment", said Madon motioning to the officer has he made for the door. "You have now met Glinn Bokat, remember him", she added. (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Montcalm, Deck 7, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2254) Sam easily kept up with the two marines. From the look on Graavk's face, he was surprised that she had. Sam smiled at that. He probably thought that she wouldn't be able to handle it. "Hold up," he said as they stopped and moved for the cover of a corner. "Where is Sgt. Bowie? His fireteam was supposed to be here a good 20 minutes ago," Graavk asked. "Maybe he got all shot up," the other marine said. "He could already be with the engineering team behind that door," Sam suggested. "Alright, we're going to move in and secure the room. I'll take point..." Graavk paused, then decided to rephrase his statement. "I'll be the leader, Chandler will be two steps behind me, Johnson will be three steps behind here, with his back at the rear. We'll move into room, check all four points, then the center. Any questions?" Graavk asked. "I don't have any," Sam replied. "No, sir!" the other marine said. "Alright, Semper Fi!" Graavk shouted. Graavk moved around the corner with his assault rifle raised. Sam was two steps right behind him keeping alert and ready. They moved along the wall until they reached the door. Graavk jumped into the room with Sam right behind, phaser at the ready. (Posted by Esther) (Starbase Geneva, Diplomatic Centre, FO, Glinn Bokat, 2254) Glinn Bokat walked into the diplomatic centre with a smile upon his face and a wafer thin chip in his hand, he turned the corner to the council member’s quarters and walked to the door. Bokat passed several alien adjuncts as he went and nodded a greeting to each one as he passed them, when he got to Madon’s door he activated the chime briefly and after the summons moved briskly through the doorway. Inside he saw a person in medical uniform levering himself from the floor, Madon sat upon the couch and Damok stood behind the human with the box that had contained a symbiant in his hand. Bokat frowned at the choice as the man was not someone he would have chosen to be a host but said nothing. "I have retrieved the information we seek." He said simply. (Reply: Madon or Damok) "The attack upon the First Officer caused me some problems initially as the security alert limited computer access but I was able to overcome the problem by redirecting my request to several different locuses while masking my trail so that the routing point for the information retrieval was erased hiding my trail. The codes we had brought were still valid fortunately or it would have taken much longer, it would seem they change them seldom. I also initiated a 'Back door program' in their system so that I can access it at any time." Bokat passed over the chip. (Reply: Madon or Damok) As you will see there are a number of fifth column suspects the stations personnel have been investigating as well as a number of other subversive groups suspected. I will begin making contact with the first suspect in the morning, one named Job Kellin and follow the leads he gives me to his leaders. It might be a few days before I can make contact with them." (Posted by Charles) (Starbase Geneva, Diplomatic Centre, Council Member Madon, 2255) With the proceedings regarding the medical crewman now having been settled, both Damok & Madon turned to see Glinn Bokat enter the room. The look upon his face showed his obvious confusion as Dufrane walked out past him. "A necessary development unfortunately", said Madon shooting a stare towards Damok. "Rogers was supposed to have come himself, Dufrane however being a medic also has the same access levels as Rogers did so we should consider this only a minor setback", she added. (Reply Bokat, Damok, Any, IYW) Glinn Bokat then spoke of the chip in his hand. "I have retrieved the information we seek." He said simply. "Excellent work", said Madon as Bokat offered more information on the contents of the chip. "The attack upon the First Officer caused me some problems initially as the security alert limited computer access but I was able to overcome the problem by redirecting my request to several different locuses while masking my trail so that the routing point for the information retrieval was erased hiding my trail", said Bokat. "The codes we had brought were still valid fortunately or it would have taken much longer, it would seem they change them seldom. I also initiated a 'Back door program' in their system so that I can access it at any time." Bokat passed over the chip & Madon took it with a thinly veiled smile. "As you will see there are a number of fifth column suspects the stations personnel have been investigating as well as a number of other subversive groups suspected", said Bokat. "I will begin making contact with the first suspect in the morning, one named Job Kellin and follow the leads he gives me to his leaders. It might be a few days before I can make contact with them." "If it can take less than a few days, so much the better", said Madon in her usual authoritarian tone. She was probably being much too harsh on Bokat anyway, he had done a wonderful job but arrogance was one of Madon’s parasitic life forms most prevalent qualities. She dismissed him with a wave of her hand as she walked towards a piece of equipment which laid upon the desk in her quarters. She then sat at the chair before it & inserted the chip into the reader. Then, tuning to her two colleagues she offered them only one sentence. "Proceed as we have discussed", she said as she quickly immersed herself into the chips repository of records. (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Montcalm, Life Support Room, Marine, Corporal Graavk, 2255) Graavk and his team entered the room and saw that it was only the engineering team. He nodded to Chandler and Johnson, then turned to the engineers. "Who is the leader here?" (reply McLaren) "Did you see another Marine squad come through here?" (reply McLaren) "Got it. How far are you from being finished?" (reply McLaren) Graavk nodded and tapped his comm badge. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Life Support Room, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2257) Sam and the other two marines burst into the room. After looking around they realized that the engineering team was the only ones in the room. "Who is the leader here?" Graavk asked. "That'd be me." An ensign that Sam didn't know said, stepping forward. "Did you see another Marine squad come through here?" Graavk asked. "Negative, you're the first we've seen." He said crisply. "Got it. How far are you from being finished?" Graavk asked. "Bout 15 minutes. I am currently depleting the weapons and then that'll be it." He replied. "Marine Fireteam Bravo to Geneva. We have secured both the engineering and medical teams, yet Fireteam Alpha is missing. Do you have a lock on their location?" Graavk contacted Geneva. While Graavk spoke with Geneva, Sam walked a little ways away and scanned the room with her eyes to see where Ensign Klars was. After speaking with Geneva, Graavk turned back to everyone else. "I am going alone to see why Sgt. Bowie is on Deck 15. Pvt. Johnson and Ensign Chandler are going to protect you. When Geneva calls, get outta here. Good luck," Graavk said, walking out of the room. =^=Geneva to Klars and Chandler, please go to the bridge and tell Captain Beurform, Commander T'Larr and Lt. Commander Barns its time to come over to Geneva. Our scans show Beurform and Barns are in sickbay and T'Larr is on the bridge. You might want to spilt up,=^= came over the comm. Sam tapped her combadge, "Understood, sir." Sam saw Klars' reaction when Rogers mentioned one of the names. He seemed angry. She didn't know why but he really didn't like someone and probably had vengeance on his mind from the look on his face. He turned to Sam, "I will go visit Beurform," then he muttered, "and God help me if he is who I know he is." Sam raised her eyebrows and said, "Alright, but just do don't anything you are going to regret. By the way, watch out for Barns. He caused some problems in Sickbay and I ended up having to shoot him. I don't know if he is still incapacitated." (Reply Klars, iyw) The two of them walked out of the room and split up to get their respective prisoners. (Posted by Esther) (USS Montcalm, Sickbay, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Do you want me to meet your team in Sickbay or should I proceed to the transporter room?=^= Sam asked. "Go ahead and meet us in the transporter room," she said, pausing as she nodded at the marine who heard her orders. She watched as the two men going straight to the brig were right in sight of the marine. He wasn't taking his eye off of them. "We'll meet you there. Mackenzie out." The group of them walked towards the transporter room slowly, making sure no adverse actions would take place. (Posted by Stacey) (USS Montcalm, Bridge, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2259) Sam stepped out of the turbolift and onto the bridge of the Montcalm. Everyone who was there turned their attention on her. Sam felt the need to do what she came to do and get off this bridge before anyone decided to try something. "Commander T'Larr, I am here to inform you that it is time to come over to Geneva," Sam informed the FO. (Reply T'Larr) "If you will please come with me," Sam said. (Posted By Esther) (Starbase Geneva, Main Ops, COUNS/A3O, Ensign {SG} Brian Rogers, 2300) Brian had let the two teams have enough. He tapped his comm badge and started speaking. "Geneva to Dr. Mackenzie, how many wounded are left on the ship?" (reply Mackenzie) "I see. How long will that take you to finish healing them?" Brian asked. (reply Mackenzie) "Got it. Report in when you are finished," Brian ordered has the channel closed. He then contacted the away team again. "Geneva to Ensign McLaren, have you repaired their life support, disabled their weapons and limited their warp drive?" (reply McLaren) "How long until you’re finished?" Brian asked (reply McLaren) "Okay, keep up the good work, Geneva out," Brian opened another channel. "Geneva to Klars and Chandler, please go to the bridge and tell Captain Beurform, Commander T'Larr and Lt. Commander Barns its time to come over to Geneva. Our scans show Beurform and Barns are in sickbay and T'Larr is on the bridge. You might want to spilt up," Brian said. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Bridge, FO, Commander T'Larr, 2300) T'Larr sat in the seat, with only a small bridge crew. He was just informed by Ensign Rogers on Geneva that a team was coming to take him to the Brig. He was waiting when a young officer walked in. "Commander T'Larr, I am here to inform you that it is time to come over to Geneva," T'Larr looked over at her and nodded, "Very good." "If you will please come with me," she said. T'Larr stood up and walked next to her. "Please lead the way, Ensign," T'Larr said. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Deck 5, Sickbay, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2301) =^=Geneva to Dr. Mackenzie, how many wounded are left on the ship?=^= "Not as many as there were when we got here....I'd guess around 10-15 crewmembers. It can be easily handled with my medical team," she said, standing over the biobed Barns was laying in. =^=I see. How long will that take you to finish healing them?=^= Brian asked. "Oh....I'd say about 10 minutes." ~Right after I finish with Mr. Barns here.....~ =^=Got it. Report in when you are finished.=^= "Aye sir, Mackenzie out." Turning to her medical team, she announced, "Alright people, we have about 10 minutes to finish healing the remainder of the people. With as many people as we have, it shouldn't be too hard to do. Split up and take on more casualties." As the medical team split up, she put her concentration back on Barns. ~I'll teach you to mess with me.~ She wouldn't take his life away, no.....she was a doctor. But she would make his life a living hell until one of his crewmembers came along. Knowing full well what she was doing, she first healed the wound on his back and established vital signs, which only took a few moments. Since he was still knocked unconscious, she put an isotropic restraint over his biobed. Laughing inside, she knew he wouldn't be able to move once he woke up. It was like being restrained to a bed at an old fashioned hospital....at least until one of his crewmembers unlocked it. When she was finished, she went to check on the other crewmates and her medical team to see how they were doing. They were almost finished, and she noticed some of them snickering at Barns laying in the isotropic restraint. "Never follow that example I just set," she told a small group she was near. To her, Barns pissed her off enough that he deserved something back of his own. ~It may not last for long, but long enough.~ Knowing she would be back on the starbase by the time he woke up, she didn't really care either way. Smiling, she set out to start collecting her medical team to get ready to beam back to Geneva. (Posted by Stacey) (USS Montcalm, Engineering, life support systems, ATAC ensign Dorrin Klars, 2302) Dorrin had been surprised by the knowledge that the enemy was trying to kill the two teams. Mostly because of how stupid that was, Geneva would blow the ship right out of the sky. He then heard Rogers message, =^=Geneva to Klars and Chandler, please go to the bridge and tell Captain Beurform, Commander T'Larr and Lt. Commander Barns its time to come over to Geneva. He felt the his lips change into a snarl and his hand unconsciously began to caress his phaser. He tried to calm himself, tried to tell himself that it might not be the real Beurform, but he knew that the name was too uncommon. He then just tried to calm down using what he learned at counseling with Marta, but it was too soon and too sudden. He turned to Chandler and spat out "I will go visit Beurform," then he muttered, "and God help me if he is who I know he is." (posted by Dan Black) (USS Montcalm, Bridge, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2303) "Please lead the way, Ensign," T'Larr said, walking over to stand next to her. (Posted by Esther) (Starbase Geneva, Main Ops, COUNS/A3O, Ensign {SG} Brian Rogers, 2310) Brian had gotten work that security teams were in place to escort the new POW's from the transporter room to the Brig. It was about time that the USS Montcalm had gone underway. Brian opened a channel to his Medical team. "Geneva to Dr. Mackenzie, you've had your ten minutes, Kaitlyn, is your team ready to leave?" (reply Mackenzie) "Is Barns and Beurform ready to beam over?" (reply Mackenzie) "Very good. See you in a few minutes, Kaitlyn," Brian said before closing the channel, then opening another channel. "Geneva to McLaren. Is your engineering team done with their work?" (reply McLaren) "Very good. Go to the transporter room and beam back here, Geneva out." Brian opened another channel. "Geneva to Chandler and Klars, Kaitlyn... uh, Dr. Mackenzie says that Barns and Beurform are ready to be brought to the transporter room, and we're set up over here to bring them to the brig. Also don't forget about T'Larr," Brian said. (reply Chandler, Klars) "Geneva out," Brian said just has the channel closed. He had one last call to make. "Geneva to Bowie, report." =^= Graavk here, sir. Bowie and his team were captured and beaten. I'm brining them back for extraction. =^= Brian shook his head. Graavk had disobeyed orders, but Marines had a strong team mentality. "Alright, just bring him back," Brian said has he waited for the teams to come home. (Posted by Kevin Schram) (USS Montcalm, Corridor, ATAC/ASC Ensign JG Samantha Chandler, 2310) Sam walked down the corridor towards Sickbay with Commander T'Larr as her prisoner. (reply Mackenzie) "Understood" he replied, ~once why can't people be where I am sent to meet them for Pete’s sake~ With a resigned sigh he headed to the transporters. (Posted by Dan Black) (USS Montcalm, Sickbay, ACMO Lt. Cmdr. "Ah Dorrin" he mocked "How good to see you, tell me how is your brother doing." This was too much for Dorrin he leapt for Beurform, and was restrained by three marines. "I am going to kill you, you do realize that." (reply any iyw) Beurform laughed "I highly doubt that!" Dorrin wanted to kill him, but couldn't with the marines in the way, instead he resigned himself to waiting to be transported. (posted by Dan Black) (Starbase Geneva, Transporter Room 2, ACMO, Lt. "See you in the brig, boys," she said, walking out of the transporter room, letting the marines and security take them to the brig. As she saw Sam coming out, she stopped and waited for her to catch up. Walking with her down the hall, Kaitlyn said, "That was nice work back there. I owe you big time." <> "Yeah, for a minute there I thought I was a goner. I'm glad we're back home." <> "Well, I guess I'll see you around. I'm on my way to sickbay. It sure wouldn't hurt my morale." She knew it was late, but she knew there was no way she was going to sleep tonight anyways. <> "Alright. I'll meet up with you later. You choose the time." <> There was nothing better than 'a girl’s night out' after having your life threatened. That's how Kaitlyn usually tended to vent her emotions. Either that or talking to her best friend on her home planet, Earth. ~I have to do that later.~ Finishing their conversation, Kaitlyn made her way to sickbay. (Posted by Stacey) (Starbase Geneva, Medical Center, ACMO, Lt. Cmdr. Kaitlyn Mackenzie, 2322) Walking in, the lights were dimmed since it was night shift. She silently walked up to Casely and realized he was asleep already. She quietly looked at his vitals and talked to one of the nurses. She didn't have the nerve to wake him up. He needed all the rest he could get. Knowing he was extremely frustrated earlier, he probably wore himself out. Kaitlyn sighed, and watched Casely for a moment before walking out of sickbay and to her quarters. It had been a long night. (Posted by Stacey) [END COMPILE]
