"Aye Aye Captain, you have been very patient, I have entered the co-ordinates of the Athene and should be safely back onboard soon.", she said. "You could stay Felicity you would fit in very well In Dreggnan, the fact is you already have, you have become a dear and valued friend to the Dreggnan people, Please consider the position of my personal assistant.", said Kenshirla, Governor of Dreggnan shire "Your Excellency, I am honoured that you would ask me to stay and I thank you for your kind hospitality and friendship during my time on Dreggnan, but I must go, I am needed on the Athene I must get back." Kenshirla stepped forward and embraced Felicity the tears were streaming down Felicity's cheeks. "You will always be welcome here Felicity, Safe journey.", said Kenshirla and with that he turned a left her standing by the Aquamarine her vessel back to the Athene. Felicity climb onto the Aquamarine and began her long lonely journey. NRPG: Many days later... RPG: (Aquamarine, Felicity Wells - 15.00) "I am 2.5 light years from the Athene I should be home in no time.", Felicity waited for the Captains response, but there was nothing. "Felicity Wells to the Athene Please are you receiving me?", but there was still no answer. Felicity realised that she was alone, The Aquamarine had malfunctioned, and she didn't have enough fuel or oxygen to last more than 5 more hours. ~ What the hell am I going to do know, I will die if I don't do something.....Think Felicity think! ~ Her only other option was to suspend herself in the animation chamber and hope someone found her soon. She lay down on the couch and pulled the clear capsule door until it connected... that was the last thing she remembered. The crew on the Athene searched for Felicity for many months but each clue led to a dead end, giving Felicity up for dead, the crew of the Athene finally moved on. The Andorian looked at the rifle for several moments, and was blessed that his face couldn't be seen through the helmet. "Something worth looking at, Sir." he eventually said, "With all do respect however, We do not have the time to facilitate working a new weapon into our regimen at this time, It would be safer and more efficient for the Marines to stick to their standard equipment for the duration of this emergency." posted by TROUT (Nageri Scout Ship: Aft Section - Lt. Orde - 1301) NRPG: Now is that surprise, admiraton, or contempt the major's hiding behind his mask? RPG: "With all do respect however, We do not have the time to facilitate working a new weapon into our regimen at this time, It would be safer and more efficient for the Marines to stick to their standard equipment for the duration of this emergency." "Never a problem, Major. Security will be using these for our own uses -- they are used to nonstandard equipment." (Reply Drizzt, any) (Posted by Lenox) (Nageri ship, Kahila Lono, 13:18) Kahila and Rain moved apart, each of them taking as much information by tricorder as possible. Kahila kept her deeper feelings reined in; horror at what had been done to the living ship -- and the evidence of this was everywhere, the claw marks and gashes, placement of technological devices joined crudely to living flesh; but also her continued feelings of wonder within the presence of the once-living ship. ~Could they have evolved on their own? Or perhaps some other race genetically engineered them.~ When the signal came for the away team to prepare for transport, Kahila finished storing her data, and joined Rain in the corridor between rooms. She said, "I'm glad we had this chance to work together. I'll be very interested in seeing the interpretations the Medical teams have for the bio data." (reply Rain) Then, a moment later, the ship disappeared from her sight, she knew only a brief scattering of light, and came to awareness upon the Spectre's transporter pad. She stepped down, then looked toward Rain and Jon, saying, "I know we didn't have nearly enough time to research the ship, but I'm satisfied with our achievement, under the circumstances. We should upload our tricorder data to the main computer before progressing on to other duties. Good work." She smiled at the others, then went out to the turbolift. (reply Rain, Jon) posted by Josephine Goodman <> (USS Spectre, Secure Medical Bay- CMO Cambridge - 13.20) The security team still stood outside the medical bay as Cambridge ran his hand scanner over the creature. It was gone, bereft of any life. Part of the doctor felt he had betrayed his oath, but he knew there was no way around it. This creature was a deadly creation that had only one mission and it was to kill, maim, massacre and destroy. There wasn't much else to its life and Maxwell wasn't about to try and add some imaginary part of the killing machines existence. Running a few more tests, he confirmed it for the third time. Dead. "Cambridge to security, threat has been neutralized, you are ordered clear of the secure medical bay and return to you previous duties..." He was about to finish when the red alert signal screamed through the deck and the ship shook a bit. "Gentlemen, duty calls. Thank you for your presence. Good Day." A group of five medical officers entered the door as the security officers headed out as the ship shook again. The medical examination team began to suit up as Cambridge headed out the cleansing chamber. Moments later, he walked out to greet them. "Welcome. I want a total workup on this thing. Clean and slow, don't try and get done fast. I want all the facts you have. I'll be in sickbay. Get to work..." He headed out the door as the team entered the airlock. If the ship was shaking, that meant they were in battle. And that meant he would be needed in sickbay. He quickly entered the room after running through the corridors, hitting his commbadge. "Cambridge to Bridge, sickbay standing by. What is our status?" (reply bridge, remae?, any) (posted by sulu) (Nageri Ship - ACMO Anderson - 13.25) Rain tried to build as complete a picture as possible of the physiological systems of the ship. She had identified a vascular system that transported a nutrient rich fluid around the body but she could find no "heart" to pump the fluid. She assumed it was a system that relied on the contraction and relaxation of the muscular chambers in the entire body that moved the fluid. She had found a highly advanced neurological system but again no centralised brain to control functioning - rather all of the system controlled all of the functions it was a quite ingenious design... it meant that there was no highly vulnerable areas and a large proportion of the ship would need to be damaged to cause death. She realised with a start that the Spectre had done just that. The message came across the comm that they were to return to the ship. She joined the FO in the corridor planning to head back to find the science officer. "I'm glad we had this chance to work together. I'll be very interested in seeing the interpretations the Medical teams have for the bio data." Lt Lono said Rain smiled shyly at the FO, actually believing that she meant what she said. "They are an ingenious design and my heart cries for the loss of an organism such as this. The xenolithe need to pay for this." She replied feeling her cheeks flush in anger. (USS Spectre - Transporter - Rain Anderson - 13.42) Rain felt a sense of relief to be back on board. "I know we didn't have nearly enough time to research the ship, but I'm satisfied with our achievement, under the circumstances. We should upload our tricorder data to the main computer before progressing on to other duties. Good work." Rain nodded at her away team companions. "Understood." She replied.
