Jacqueline is pale, partly from spending a large part of her young life in space and partly through genetics. She has large eyes and a ready smile. She keeps her hair tied back and cut just below her shoulders. Somehow she always looks like she's getting into trouble even when she's been doing nothing at all.
History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Jacqueline was born to Siomha Erlina and Cebrian Bristed. Although married, the pair decided to keep separate names, which later developed into separate lives. Siomha was Earthbound, while Cebrian was in love with the stars and his charter cruise ship, the Minitel. Eventually the pair split up, and Jacqueline stayed with her father. Jacqueine showed an uncanny knack with mechanics at a young age, and when she was a teenager her father would sometimes ask her to take over the small ship, but not for long. It was obvious the young woman was more comfortable with fixing and maintaining the ship than controlling it. Somehow she always seemed to know what was wrong and what needed doing, and Cebrian, having a business to run as well as a ship to captain, was content to let his daughter do as she thought best. She didn't restrict herself to ship mechanics alone. Because of the wide array of passengers her father took on, she met many people and got a taste for traveling the galaxy on her own one day.

Education

:

Homeschooling aboard the Minitel, Starfleet Academy

Pre-Starfleet History

:

Having completed her basic schooling at seventeen, Jacqueline decided to go traveling before settling into a career. For little over two years she flitted from place to place, supporting herself with her skills as a small-time engineer. Somehow she always seemed to know just what was wrong with things without the same kind of inspection others took for the same job. The same seemed to apply to people; she often knew things intuitively about people. It didn't seem important enough to look into it though. She tried everything and anything that took her fancy, not sure what she wanted to do with her life just yet. After terminating a seven-month fling with a young Vulcan named Vashan, she decided to join 'Fleet. After all, she'd done everything else she could think of.

Starfleet History

:

Medical History

:

Jacqueline's affinity with ship mechanics, not to mention her occasional uncanny ablility to know what she really shouldn't is due to a low empathic ability--but she is only a reciever, not a sender. She is unaware of the ability, or at least refuses to believe in it even when it is identified. Jacqueline also has a higher metabolic rate than normal.

Skills

:

Jacqueline seems to know almost without thinking what makes something work. She works well with people, but excels when left to her own devices on a job. She is best with physical problems as opposed to programming glitches. She deals well in null-grav environments and adapts easily to new environments of any kind.

Other Information
Hobbies :

Jacqueline will try anything new and exciting that she comes across, at least once, and exciting is a flexible term. Rock-climbing, dancing, gambling, distillery, tinkering with things to learn more about them. She sometimes toys with improving her holo programming, creating holos based on either places she's been or stories she's fallen in love with. She also keeps up correspondence with Vashen, but is always open to another fling with someone she knows somewhat.

General Notes

:

Jacqueline is easy-going, not liking to throw her weight around. That is the CEO's job, if he wants it. She's "emotionally unavailable" after being asked to marry an old love, a Vulcan named Vashan, resulting in a catastrophic break up not long after her refusal.

Awards :

Awarded Captains Commendation: For taking part in the mission to find & return President Rondar Nell to 52nd fleet command & for partaking in the battles with the Zulu Alpha attack ships en route.

Awarded Combat Action Ribbon: For engaging the enemy at great personal risk, whilst serving as part of Task Force 19 in it's goal to retake the Federation from forces loyal to Admiral Doenitz at the Mars Defence Perimeter & beyond.

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
