History, Education and Skills
Family and Background :

Amara is the eldest, by three minutes, of identical twins. Along with her twin Kyah, Amara grew up on various ships and bases, as both their parents were Starfleet Engineers. Their mother retired from Starfleet when she got pregnant with the twins, and soon after their father was reassigned to the USS Daphne as CEO. This made life difficult for his wife and growing daughters who rarely saw him. There has always been a streak of competitiveness between Amara and her sister, who seemed to resent being the younger twin. Although identical to look at, Amara always seemed to come out ahead in most things. When Kyah decided that she wanted to follow her parents into Starfleet, Amara took up the unspoken challenge and applied as well. Their mother, who had returned to Starfleet when the girls reached their teens, supported her move. Her father though, knowing how fickle his older daughter could be, has reservations.

Education

:

Starfleet Academy

Pre-Starfleet History

:

Did most of her secondary schooling by correspondence. Was an above average pupil who always seemed to pass exams with ease, but never really extended herself. Initially she had no idea of what direction she wanted to take career-wise, and this may have compounded her apathy toward her education. Amara tended to be more interested in the social aspects of life, which further annoyed her sister who struggled with her exam work, and had no real time for anything else. After finishing her secondary schooling, Amara took a year off to travel and decide what she wanted to do for a career. On hearing of Kyahs decision to enter Starfleet Amara joined her sibling at the Academy, breezing through the entrance exams and settling in with ease. She has majored in Xenobiology, with a minor in Counselling. With little effort, she has managed to stay at the top of her class, and looks to be on the path to graduating with honours.

General Notes

:

*Classified (OUT OF GAME) Information.* Amara and Kyah Serranta are identical twins. Both applied for Starfleet and got into the Academy. However, Amara was the only one to graduate as Kyah failed her final exam. For reasons know only to themselves, they instigated a swap, and Kyah took Amara's place in Starfleet. If and when they ever get caught, is at the sole discretion of the command team or myself.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
