Pre-Starfleet History

:

Ren had a normal childhood until he suffered a traumatic brain injury when he fell out of a tree at a very young age. He was in a coma, but modern medicine was able to save him. Because of the injury, his telepathic and empathic abilities never developed. Oddly, Ren is also immune to being read telepathically or empathically. This led to Ren never truly fitting in with Betazoid culture; he always felt like an outsider. Children teased him, calling him Ferengi boy. When he turned 18, Ren's father suggested he enlist in Starfleet. The diversity of cultures there would allow Ren to find a place for himself. After much thought, he took his father's advice.

Starfleet History

:

Ren enlisted in Starfleet at age 18, choosing security and tactical as his field of study. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the USS Loki. Ren served there, learning as much as possible to improve himself. After ten years, the Loki was taken out of service for upgrades. At the age of 28, and the rank of chief petty officer, Ren was transferred to the USS Hades.

Medical History

:

Other than the injury from his youth, Ren is in excellent health.

Skills

:

Ren is skilled in Starfleet security, tactical, weapons, and martial arts. He is athletic and good in sports.

Other Information
Hobbies :

Ren enjoys sports, outdoor activities, reading, and socializing with friends.

General Notes

:

Though Betazoid, Ren has no telepathic or empathic abilities. He is also immune from being read telepathically or empathically.

Awards :

Admiral Bell threw her arms around the Ensign, "You don't have to be scared anymore, you don't have to be guilty anymore, you are not responsible for what that madman did to you.", she said to her quietly and for a moment longer, releasing her from the embrace. "It's going to take time, its going to be a toll... I will be right here, and I am not going anywhere."
