The Sovereign Class captain's yacht was a large auxiliary craft which normally docked on the ventral side of the saucer section, opposite the bridge, and immediately below the saucer torpedo launcher.

A travel pod was a small Federation shuttlepod predominately used during the 23rd century by facilities like the San Francisco Fleet Yards to transfer personnel to drydocks or spaceships. These vessels have a flight crew that can include 1 pilot and up to 7 passengers.

The Delta class is based on the Delta Flyer, a craft designed and built by the crew of the U.S.S. Voyager during their sojourn in the Delta Quadrant. It is larger than standard Federation auxiliary craft and has more advanced shields, allowing for longer and more hazardous away missions.
