Major Historical Periods
Pre-Civil War Era (2405-2406)
The 52nd Fleet was officially launched in 2405 under the command of Admiral Robert LoDona. During this period, the fleet was assigned to Starbase Geneva and began operations in the Beta Quadrant. Tensions began to rise within Starfleet Command as Admiral LoDona discovered a secret plot within the Admiralty.
Federation Civil War (2406-2408)
The Federation Civil War erupted when Admiral LoDona declared open hostilities against certain Admirals in Starfleet. The conflict involved battles throughout the Federation on core worlds such as Andoria, Betazed, Vulcan, and Tellar. The war culminated in the Battle for the Mars Defence Perimeter, where Admiral Doenitz was defeated.
Post-Civil War Contraction (2408-2431)
After the civil war ended, Starfleet adopted a defensive posture rather than returning to exploration. The Federation began to contract, with many member worlds leaving. The 52nd Fleet was disbanded in 2431 as Starfleet focused on diplomatic missions rather than fleet operations.
The Incident (2443)
On April 23rd, 2443, Earth was attacked by an antimatter bomb detonated in tunnels beneath Federation Headquarters in San Francisco. The explosion vaporized millions while leaving physical structures relatively intact. By this time, the Federation had lost a quarter of its member worlds.
Rebuilding Era (2444-Present)
Following "The Incident," President Stiave Atremi was elected and tasked Admiral Remae Ktell with rebuilding Starfleet. The 52nd Fleet was reformed, beginning operations from the Mars Defence Perimeter. The fleet has been working to restore Federation influence, protect member worlds, and resume exploration missions.
